SCA/OCA JOINT SHOWS. June 17 TH 2017 Dr Bruce Bennett. An enjoyable and relaxed event, smoothly run by Irene, John and Harry, assisted ably by Clare to all of whom my congratulations for a job well done and thanks for their invitation to take part. Maggie Birchall stewarded for me most efficiently and was a most congenial companion on the day; many thanks Maggie. At the SCA Best in Show event I was privileged to meet a number of splendid exhibits, choice in the Oriental section falling on a stunning Male Neuter Oriental Longhair Cinnamon Spotted Tabby, Baxter s I GR PR PIPPASTRO I HAVE CINNED with dazzling green eyes and a beguiling temperament quite at odds with his name, and in the Siamese Section on a delicious Lilac Tortie Pointed lady of super type and coat, Miller s CH PASHTAN VAVAVOOM, very beautiful, well named, who was in the mood for a bit of sinning, and whose meltingly lovely eyes and expression clinched her place as the overall Best Exhibit. In the similar event in the OCA Show I met a splendid Oriental Black Bicolour, Simpson s ATHELSTAN INCOGNITO, with terrific head type, wonderful green eyes and well set ears, a long lithe adolescent body and eye-catching high white pattern whom I was glad to choose as Best Oriental Adult, and I note that he went on to become Best Oriental. Congratulations to all. SCA CLASSES. HAVANA ADULT. BoB. HIRST S CH TOGHAR JHANANDRA. F. (OSH b) 1 yr 0 mth. (See OCA Grand Class). ORIENTAL SELF SHORTHAIR BREEDER S ADULT.

1. HIRST S CH TOGHAR JHANANDRA. F. (OSH b) 1 yr 0 mth. See OCA Grand Class. ARISTOCRAT ADULT. 1. VINCE S AMANJAY BLUE MOON. F. (SIA a) 1 yr 4 mth. Rather a small girl, wedge isosceles, tiny pinch, could be a little broader at its top so ears, though aligned, appear a little up, eyes show good blue tone. Slight dent in the profile, chin aligned, bite meets. Diminutive body, limbs and tail proportionate. Good soft blue points, body showing matching shading. MAIDEN KITTEN. 1. SMOUT S BRUCE-WINT RAHAT-LUKUM. (OSH n 03) 8 mth 1 wk. See OCA Report. 2. JONES TILDEN THE CINFULASS. F (SIA o) 6 mth 0 wk. Very pretty cinnamon pointed girl. Wedge even, marginally blunt at the muzzle. Ears of size, set well in line. Eyes of oriental shape and incline, mid blue. Profile almost straight, excellent deep muzzle, aligned chin, bite a little under at present. Neat body, limbs and tail in keeping. Stunning pale clear unshaded body. Cinnamon points with mask incomplete as yet. KITTEN NOT HAVING WON AN OPEN CLASS. 1. COLLINS ULTIMUS MATAHARI. F (OSH j) 7 mth 1 wk. Attractive type to this girl but looked to be a caramel tortie. Good even wedge head with large ears set in line, excellent oriental shape and set to the eyes of pale olive. Aristocratic arch to the profile, aligned chin of some depth, level bite. Firm body, limbs and tail in proportion. Good coat texture, soft sludgy points with typical warm apricot breaks. 2. DAVIES GLAMSWAN DAN DENOSA. M. (SIA o) 8 mth 4 wk. Big bouncy lad with a medium wedge head, ears aligned, eyes open and lacrimating profusely, attributed to hay fever by duty vet. Excellent straight profile, aligned chin, bite meeting. Balanced body, limbs and tail. Striking pale clear body, appearing to be a tabby point, not as

entered, probably cinnamon though presently shade lacks warmth. Time will reveal all. ORIENTAL KITTEN UNDER 6 MTHS. 1. BAUERFEIND S SHIMILEETA BACKTOTHEFUTURE. M. (SIA w 67) 5 mth 1 wk. Engaging youngster, medium length wedge, blunt at the muzzle, ears of balancing size, flared in line, inclined almond shaped eyes of good blue shade. Profile virtually straight, chin aligned well, incisors level. Slender body, limbs and tail in balance. Coat rather fluffy still, clear unblemished white. LIMIT NEUTER. 1. MIDSON S PIPPASTRO STORM-TROUPER. MN. (OSH n 24) 2 yr 0 mth. Large, reticent fellow with a strong, equilateral wedge head, lovely breadth at its top between large ears flaring in line, eyes oriental in shape and set, green could be clearer for preference. Excellent straight profile, chin slopes away, needing to be firmer. Body large and strong, proportionate limbs and tail. Coat of excellent smooth texture, tabby features clear with the exception of the spine line, which is solid, background shade rather cold and greyish. SENIOR SIAMESE/BALINESE NEUTER. 1. CLAYDEN S CH & I GR PR MAFDET MISTER TITIAN. MN. (SIA m) 4 yr 5 mth. Handsome Seal Point, head has even lines to it, lengthy and perhaps marginally narrow, large ears set in alignment, oriental eyes of excellent shape and incline, good blue shade. Dense seal points with body shaded to match but contrast evident, excellent coat texture. 2. JACKSON S CH & I GR PR ADZWOAM GLAMOUR-GIRL. FN. (SIA g) 5 yr 0 mth. Rather a testy lady in her middle years. Head has even lines to it, ears of good size, would prefer a little more flare. Inclined oriental eyes, with a hostile

expression. Chin quite prominent, but bite meets. Body marginally plump but firm, limbs and tail proportionate. Soft bluish points, broken by a variety of shades, some rather cold for cream, body showing typical tortie shading. VISITOR S NEUTER. 1. MIDSON S PIPPASTRO OOMPA LOOMPA. MN. (BAL b 21) 11 mth 4 wk. See OCA Report BREED 32 SIAMESE/BALINESE ADULT. 1. MILLER S CH PASHTAN VAVAVOOM. F. (SIA j) 1 yr 4 mth.lovely strong lady, her mind on other things today. Beautiful even wedge with breadth between ears that show graceful flare, gorgeous blue oriental eyes with a meltingly benign expression. Gently arched profile over a pleasingly deep profile, bite level. Real lilac tortie points with a lovely pale clear body for contrast, texture a bit fluffed today as she contemplates naughtiness. Ultimately Best Overall Exhibit in the SCA Show. 2. HARGAN S CH SISAR CAMPARI. F. (SIA n 21) 1 yr 5 mth. A pretty lady with an even wedge head, complemented by proportionate ears showing becoming set and flare. Stunning eyes of deep blue. Smoothly arched profile, muzzle needs a bit more depth and chin slopes back a little, bite level. Slender body, matching limbs and tail. Excellent close smooth coat, blue tabby points contrasting the shaded body. SCA ORIENTAL KITTEN. 1. BAUERFEIND S SHIMILEETA BACKTOTHE FUTURE. M. (SIA w 67) 5 mth 1 wk. See above. OCA CLASSES ORIENTAL SELF CHAMPION.

Profile almost straight, good depth of muzzle, aligned deep chin, incisors meeting. Dainty body, lithe lines, matching limbs and tail, neat oval paws. Excellent close lying coat, attractive chestnut tone on mask and limbs, slightly darker over the back, very good soundness and gloss to it. ORIENTAL BICOLOUR KITTEN. 1. SMOUT S BRUCE-WINT RAHAT-LUKUM. M. (OSH n 03) 8 mth 1 wk. Black bicolour lad with a stylish wedge, spaced ears of size and flare which he tends to bonnet a little. Lively inclined oriental eyes of light green. Straight profile, muzzle a little shallow, chin sloping back slightly, bite meeting. Lithe body, matching limbs and tail. Excellent short close-lying coat, glistening black and just enough white, dainty black peppering in the moustache area, one ear tip white, other working on it. Modish black gaitering on rear limbs, though white correctly distributed on these and on underparts. ORIENTAL LONGHAIR ADULT. CC& BoB to BROWNING S PIPPASTRO CIN-TROUBLE. M. (OLH os) 1 yr 7 mth. Very handsome youth with a very pleasing even triangle to his wedge, excellent ears for size and set, flaring nicely, clear green tone to his inclined oriental eyes. Profile almost straight, good profile depth, incisors irregular but basically meet. Firm lengthy body, proportionate limbs and tail, sizeable paws. Coat full with ruff

and ear featherings, texture just a little dry. Even mid cinnamon tone with clear silver at the roots visible only when coat parted (text book realized!). ORIENTAL LONGHAIR NEUTER. BoB. BAXTER S I GR PR PIPPASTRO I HAVE CINNED. MN. (OLH o 24) 2 yr 0 mth. Lovely mature fellow with a strong, even wedge head, excellent green oriental eyes with a piercing expression, well set ears of balancing size. Super smooth profile curve, chin curves away just a little, incisors meeting. Lengthy strong firm body, matching limbs, rounded paws and balancing length of tail. Coat a little short at present, but it is mid-summer, excellent sleek texture, soft cinnamon spotted patterning thrown into relief by the coat length. Later my choice for Best Oriental. What a lot of Cinning among today s exhibits! SEAL POINT KITTEN. 1. BoB SIMPSON S SHERMESE IMOJI. M. Very pleasing shorter, even wedge with ears of size that might be just a little more spaced for preference, set in line. Eyes well shaped, marginally open as he gambolled

around, blue satisfactory. Lengthy firm body with limbs and tail to match. Coat of good texture, excellent pale clear body tone to contrast the seal points. Most appealing. BALINESE NEUTER. 1. Soft textured coat starting to flow, rich chocolate facial tracings, tail just showing hints of ringing, and legs barring, good clear pale body. FEMALE KITTEN. 1. COLLINS ULTIMUS MATAHARI. F.
