1 Shorthair Cat Society & Midshires Siamese Cat Association 19 th January 2019 Thank you to Lynda and the committees of both clubs for inviting me to judge at this busy but enjoyable show. Maggie Burchall stewarded for me, and we both had a most enjoyable day with some superb cats to judge. Shorthair Cat Society AC Imperial Grand Master (Olympian) Female OLYMPIAN Hirst s OS IGMC Babybea This lady told me she was the winner of this class before I even touched her. She came straight to the front of the pen and climbed on to my shoulder giving me a massage at the same time. Once the smooches were over, I was able to see her immaculate presentation and condition. She has the most beautiful face and green eyes shaped like almonds, long eye lashes to frame. Her short coat is a lovely blue with tortie markings throughout. Elegant body with long limbs, and a whippy tail. Her litter even matched! Well-deserved award. Reserve Potts IGMC Miss Molly Another lovely tortie lady with an adorable pink moustache. Long thick coat on this one that again was filled with tortie markings. Huge yellow eyes were really alert and bright. Short tail had a lovely white tip. Beautifully presented with a small damage on her inner ear, otherwise excellent condition. Not quite as confident as the winner. AC Pedigree Pet Grand Master Cat (Imperial) Male IMPERIAL Judge s GRMC Mystical Charmer Wow! What a huge imposing cat with the most amazing gentle and playful temperament. Striking cat with incredible spotted markings on his brown coat. Very alert expression from his face. He really enjoyed playing with my stewards twizzle stick but just as happy to have cuddles and make bread with his huge paws. Long tail to match his very long body. Superb condition to this cat, and a very well deserved Imperial which I understand made him up to IMC today. Congratulations. AC Pedigree Pet Grand Master Cat (Imperial) Female IMPERIAL Judge s GMC Princess Enigma Another good sized cat with a superb long (immaculately) groomed coat of black and brown mix. She was surprisingly weighty under all the coat. Large alert eyes and ears gave her a really majestic appearance. Long tail with a massive plume. Beautifully presented and a superb temperament too. Congratulations. Reserve Crossland s GMC Lily Another beautifully presented lady, smaller than the winner but none the less still extremely beautiful. Lovely cornflower blue eyes which really shone, and long whiskers. Loved her white paws which contrasted nicely against her seal points and cream body. She was again in superb condition and with a lovely gentle nature. Just pipped today by the winner.

2 Pedigree Pet Longhair/Semi-Longhair Tabby or Tabby & White Female 1 st MC BOC Carpenter s Matilda What a beautiful pair of eyes greeted me at the pen, green in colour and with a real sparkle. She was very keen to come and be judged. Lovely long silver and black tabby coat that was immaculately prepared. Under her large paws she has black tufts of hair that are very ticklish. Lovely gentle nature. Pedigree Pet Shorthair Tabby or Tabby & White Male BOC Judge s GRMC Mystical Charmer see Imperial report. Debutante Kitten 1 st Simpson s Shermese Fonteyn SIA b 21 F 10/09/2018 Beautiful kitten with a really well balanced and strong head. Wide based large ears that follow her wedge and are set with plenty of space between. Level bite with a good chin and virtually straight in profile. Vivid blue eyes of a lovely oriental shape and set. Good size and weight for her young age, and with long limbs and dainty paws. Tail just balances. Pale chocolate colour tabby points matched well and she has a lovely clear ivory coat. Thumb prints were clear on her ears, definite M on her head and lots of chocolate tabby rings on her tail. Superb temperament for such a young baby and immaculately presented. Visitors Kitten 1 st Ball s Alderstar Le Chic OSH h F 26/6/2018 (See Midshire report) 2 nd Birch s Bellando Born To Thrill SIA n F 08/06/2018 Shy youngster who really needed to relax to show herself off, however I think she was coming into call. Good sized kitten with medium sized wedge and ears that needed a little more size and width to balance correctly. Profile was virtually straight with just a small dip above her nose. Bite slightly under and slightly pinched at the moment. Eye shape good and set correctly slanting towards her nose, but the colour needed more depth of blue and her haws were showing slightly. Long limbs with small paws, tail just balances. Her coat had good warmth to the seal points. Excellent presentation. Breeders Adult 1 st Simpson s Shermese Honeysuckle SIA n 21 F 03/03/2018 Striking girl of not yet a year old but with a really mature appearance already. Really strong head with large wide based ears that are beautifully set with plenty of width between. Strong straight profile, level bite and a good chin. Long body, limbs and tail, and an elegant neck. Her eyes are a brilliant blue, oriental in shape and set correctly towards her nose. Seal tabby markings that clearly define the M on her forehead, thumbprints on her ears and superb clear rings on her tails. Clear creamy coat. Temperament was superb as was her presentation. Congratulations on your BOV.

3 2 nd Devlin s Baroushka Davina OSH f 25 F 22/3/2018 Tortie ticked tabby only just adult, but of a good size. Lovely strong medium wedge with large wide based ears set well apart and superb top of head, she has the perfect equilateral triangle. Lovely oriental eye set and shape, and of a vivid green colour, showing real expression. Straight profile and level bite, good chin. Slender limbs and long body, superb long elegant neck and a long whippy tail. Her coat is so short it feels like moleskin. Parting the coat shows at least two clear bands of ticking, broken necklace to her chest and neck, no evidence of rings to her tail. Brown base coat with tortie patches evident on her back. Superb temperament, condition and presentation. 3 rd Lee s Willhavetodo Der Unartige OSH f F 22/1/2018 Good size black tortie female with plenty to say for herself. Very elegant cat with long body, elegant neck and limbs, and a long whippy tail. She has a strong wedge with huge wide based ears that are really well spaced. Straight profile, level bite and chin slightly weak. When she settles her eyes are of a good oriental shape and set correctly towards her nose, very good green colour and with a snooty appearance. Her black close lying coat is full of bright red (and some paler red) tortie markings, gives her a very striking appearance. Coat colour sound. Slightly cross about being disturbed but handled well. Superb condition and presentation. Midshires Siamese Cat Association 19 th January 2019 Havana Kitten 1 st BOB Stewart s Purrfectpawz Spud U Like OSH b M 01/08/2018 Good size Havana baby with plenty of length to his body. Medium wedge with good sized ears set well in line with his wedge. Profile has a very slight dip, level bite and good chin. Eyes are vivid green, and of a good oriental shape and set. Long limbs and dainty paws, long whippy tail. His coat is a lovely chestnut colour, no white hairs and virtually sound throughout, just some slight unsoundness at the root. Beautiful condition and preparation, just finding his feet with some hissing at his next door neighbour. Oriental Tortoiseshell Kitten 1 st BOB Griffiths Fiordiliso Cleopatra OSH f F 20/6/2018 Weighty yet slender black tortie with a long head and good sized wide based ears set well to follow the lines of her wedge. Slight dip to her profile, level bite and good chin. Long limbs and red tipped whippy tail, long body muscular in feel, very long neck. Her eyes are slightly rounder in shape but she does relax them when in her pen which results in the correct set being evident, olive green in colour. Her coat slightly longer in length, but very black mingled with lots of different red shade, large amount of red which picks up the underlying pattern on legs and tail. Good coat texture and sound to root. Superb condition and temperament. My choice for BOV kitten, congratulations.

4 2 nd Ball s Alderstar Le Chic OSH h F 26/6/2018 Dainty chocolate tortie female with a good top of head and good sized ears that need a little more width at the base. Profile has a large dip at present, level bite and a good chin. She has excellent shape oriental eyes of a good vivid green colour and they are set well. She feels slightly small for her age. Long body, delicate paws and a balancing whippy tail. She has a silky feel to her coat which is slightly long (possibly variant?). Her colour is a warm chestnut brown mingled well with shades of red tortie patches, with breaks to legs, and sound to root. Well-presented and excellent to handle. AV Visitors Adult 1 st Simpson s Shermese Honeysuckle SIA n 21 F 03/03/2018 Striking girl of not yet a year old but with a really mature appearance already. Really strong head with large wide based ears that are beautifully set with plenty of width between. Strong straight profile, level bite and a good chin. Temperament was superb as was her presentation. 2 nd Hutchings Shermese Colour Me Red SIA d 21 16/1/2018 Another imposing exhibit, this one just a year old with superb maturity. Huge muscular body with a very strong head. Huge wide based ears that just about stand correctly and with plenty of width between. Profile is virtually straight, level bite and good chin. Limbs whilst muscular are still slender and he has large paws. Extremely long whippy tail. When in the pen his eyes looked deep set, but when he came out this changed as he became more alert, good oriental shape that marginally sit straight, but of a brilliant blue. His red points are of a gold appearance, with clear markings to his forehead, ears and tail, minimal shading to his body. Gentle natured boy, happy to be handled, very well presented and in superb condition. 3 rd Birch s CH Cosita Hepburn SIA n F 17/12/2015 Seal lady with a short wedge, ears need to be set further apart to compliment her wedge, and need more width at their base. She is virtually straight in profile, level bite showing really clean teeth, good chin. She has good brilliance to her eye colour, well set but slightly round in shape. Medium body size with good length to her limbs, neat paws; tail needs a little more length to balance. Seal points are a warm colour and she has some shading evident on her otherwise cream coat. Handled well, good condition and excellently presented.

5 AV Novice Kitten 1 st Simpson s Shermese Fonteyn SIA b 21 F 10/09/2018 (See Shorthair report) 2 nd Rogers Vindex Sulako Kodo SIA o F 16/5/2018 Cinnamon girl of a reasonable size for her age. Rather bewildered by the goings on so was holding her ears very high and her eyes wide. Once she relaxed her ears settled in a better position but need more width between them to follow her wedge correctly. Her profile straight and she has a level bite, chin slightly weak. She has long limbs and delicate paws, tail needs some length to balance. Her eyes are rather full in shape, and of a very pale blue. Her cinnamon points are of a warm tone, with her ears showing more brightness in colour, her body colour ivory with minimal shading evident. Very shy lady who did settle. Excellent condition and presentation. AC Oriental Neuter 1 st Grice s Hemlock Jiggery-Pokery OSH n MN 20/3/2018 Substantial seal point bi colour with a very mature appearance. Large strong wedge head with huge wide based ears that are set very well apart. He has a slight dip in profile and a bump to his nose, level bite and good strong chin. His eyes are oriental shape and set, but appear to need more depth of blue, possibly due to the amount of white in the proximity. His body is long and muscular, long limbs and neck, dainty paws and a long tail. Seal points are of a lovely warm colour, and there is no bleeding with the white. He has plenty more than the required third, probably nearer to 40%, all four limbs are mainly white, his full chest, across most of his face and right along his belly. Superb temperament to this gentle giant, and presented to perfection. Congratulations on your BOV. 2 nd Burton s IGRC & GRPR Weikuo Black Rani OSH n FN 15/6/12 Jet black lady with medium wedge and large ears that when she relaxes follow the lines to her wedge. Her profile has a very slight dip, level bite and slightly weak chin. She has a muscular and elegant body with good length to her limbs, tail needs a little length. Oriental eye shape set correctly towards her nose, green in colour. Her coat is black, right the way to the root, no evidence of any brown tinge or white hairs. Prepared to perfection and so easy to handle. Clare Whitby
