Central Longhair, Semi Longhair & All Breed Cat Club Show 5 th May 2018 Judge Reports Mrs Joan Pounds Thank you Keith and Eileen for inviting me to judge at your show. It was lovely to see such a good number of Siamese and Orientals present. I much appreciated the excellent lunch! Huge thanks to my excellent steward, Mary Hutchings, for keeping me on the straight and narrow as this was my first judging engagement after 12 months off. Class 1640 Imperial Class: Siamese / Balinese Grand Champion Female. Imperial awarded to GRCH Loluja Finishing Touch SIA h 21 F DOB 30/11/15 Mature chocolate tortie tabby Siamese girl of very good style and type. She has a well-balanced head with large, well-set ears, which have good width between. Rounded profile with a firm chin and level bite. Lovely oval shaped, bright blue eyes. I would have liked her ideally to be a little larger but she is dainty and feminine with an elegant neck and body, slender legs topping oval paws and a tapered tail which is in proportion. The warm chocolate tabby markings are mingled with mainly paler reds and the tortie markings are particularly evident on her ears and back legs. Beautiful short, well groomed coat which shows very little shading. Delightful girl. Class Grand Class: Siamese / Balinese Champion Male. Grand awarded to CH Pedipix Pathfinder SIA p M DOB 13/04/17 Well-grown young man of excellent style and type. He has a longer wedge which is balanced by his well-set, good-sized ears and broad top line. He has bright blue eyes of correct set and shape and a straight profile. Chin ebbs slightly and the bite is untidy but acceptable. Lovely long well muscled body with long legs and oval paws with a tapered tail that balances. Beautiful warm fawn colour and his off white body is gently shaded. Although the coat was short it felt a little greasy in places but overall very deserving of the Grand award today. Reserve Grand awarded to CH Glamswan Dan Danoso SIA o 21 M DOB Well grown, masculine young man of overall very good type. He has a balanced wedge with good-sized ears but I would prefer to see a little more width across the top. Almost straight profile with a small bump on his nose, firm chin, untidy but acceptable bite and rather deep set mid blue eyes which looked a little sore today. This boy has a long, firm body of good weight with long legs and oval paws. His tail is a little thick but is just long enough. Delicate warm cinnamon brown tabby markings with a virtually clear ivory coat. Although the coat was a tad long it lay well and had a lovely feel to it. Total gentleman to handle. Class 1643 Seal Point Siamese Adult. 1 CC & BOB awarded to Twist Tiramisun Charming Chip SIA n M DOB Very handsome young man of overall excellent style and type. He has a longer pinched wedge with a fine muzzle, beautifully set large ears and an excellent top of head. I would prefer his eyes to be a deeper blue but the shape and set is good. The profile is almost straight with just a slight rise between the eyes. He has a firm chin 1

with an acceptable bite. For such a youngster he has a mature looking, well grown body of excellent substance with long legs, oval paws and a super long tapered tail. On the down side, his seal points are dark and quite cool in tone and I worry that if he is this shaded at 10 months, he will quite quickly lose the contrast that he currently still has. Lovely short, well-kept coat and wonderful to handle. Class 1654 Tabby Point Siamese Adult 1 & CC awarded to Bewychen Baroness Myntyl SIA b 21 F DOB Rather scared chocolate tabby point girl of overall very good type. She has a longer wedge with good size, well-spaced ears (with little tufts), all of which combine to give a nicely balanced head. She has an almost straight profile with a firm chin and level bite. Unfortunately when I first saw her, she was holding her mid blue eyes very full, but when I went back to her a little later her eyes looked much better and she looked less scared. Very elegant girl with a long body of good weight, slender legs, dainty paws and a long, tapered tail. She has slightly dark but still warm chocolate tabby markings with a clear M, whisker spots and ribbons and a well-ringed tail. Her ivory coat was only very lightly shaded and was short, close lying and sleek. BOB awarded to GRCH Loluja Finishing Touch SIA h 21 Class 1685 AC Balinese Neuter 1 PC & BOB awarded to Pippastro Flight-Of-Fancy BAL p 21 MN DOB What a treat to judge such a beautiful boy! Very well grown fawn tabby point young man of excellent style and type. He has a strong, masculine head, with an even balanced wedge, with large beautifully set tufted ears and a broad top line. The profile is gently rounded with a firm chin, level bite and bright blue oval eyes. This boy has a long, graceful, well-muscled body of good substance and a long elegant neck. He has slender legs with oval tufted paws and a long tapered tail with a plume that is well developed for his age. His tabby markings are traced in a soft, warm fawn against his clear off white body and an M, ribbons and pale leg rings can be seen. He has a beautiful, well-prepared, fine, silky coat which lies flat along his body. The length of coat is commensurate with his age. Just stunning and such a sweetie as well. Miscellaneous Classes Class 1942 AV Oriental Cat not bred by Exhibitor 1 CH Firousi Hocus-Pocus OSH f F DOB Stylish and eye catching young lady of very good type. She has a well-balanced wedge with large, well-set, open based ears which have good width between them. Nice straight profile with a level bite and firm chin. The eyes are of oriental shape and set but are olive green in colour I would have liked to see a slightly better shade of green. Very elegant girl of good weight with a long neck and body with legs, paws and tail all in proportion. She looks as though she enjoys her food! She has a jet black, very glossy, short, close lying coat which is well mingled with bright reds. Her coat was sound to the roots. Class 1947 AV Self Cat 1 Metaxa Stormzy-At-Wiccanways OSH m M

Very promising and well-grown young man of excellent style and type. He has a longer wedge which is balanced by his well set, large, open based ears and broad top line. He has a straight profile with a level bite and chin that just falls back minimally. His eyes are a good bright green colour and of excellent oriental set and shape. Elegant yet masculine boy with a long nicely toned body of good weight, long elegant neck, long slender legs, oval paws and a long tapered tail. He has a close lying, warm caramel coat which is sound to the roots and beautifully glossy. Truly delightful temperament. 2 IGRCH Lucrezia Amaltea Kallisto OSH b F Mature Havana girl of excellent style and type. She has a well-balanced head with large, well-set ears and good width across the top. She has a straight profile with a small pinch, firm chin, level bite and well set bright green oriental eyes. Long, elegant body of good weight with a graceful neck, slim legs, oval paws and a long nicely tapered tail. Very well prepared, short, glossy warm chestnut brown coat which was sound to the roots. Again a truly delightful temperament. Very little to choose between first and second place. 3 Bellis Willoughby OSH n M Very well grown young man of overall very good style and type. He has a longer wedge with good sized, well set ears but I would prefer to see just a little more width across the top of his head. Straight profile with a firm chin, level bite and rather full mid green eyes. This boy has a long body of excellent weight and substance, long neck, slender legs, oval paws and a long tapered tail. His very glossy, short, close lying jet black coat was sound to the roots. Love his evil look! Seemed a little nervous and worried today but was fine to handle. Class 1948 AV Non Self Cat 1 CH Firousi Hocus-Pocus OSH f 2 Purrfectpawz Wiccandestiny OSH c 03 F Quite immature, dainty looking young lilac bi-colour lady but she is only just adult. She has a longish wedge with good-sized ears held slightly high and ideally needs a little more width across the top. Nice straight profile with a level bite. Chin that ebbs just a little and slightly full, olive green eyes. Although she still has some growing to do she was of good weight with a long firm body, elegant neck, slim legs, neat oval paws and a long whip tail. Very ethereal colouring of pale, sound, frosty grey interspersed with white areas on her face, neck and chest, both front legs and one hind leg with less on the fourth leg and under the tummy. It was difficult to judge the proportion of white but in my opinion she has just over one third white. Although the coat was short and close lying it did feel a little harsh in places. Class 1953 AV Cat having won one or more CCs 1 Roseau Snape OSH c M Nicely grown young man of very good style and type. He has a lovely head with a well-balanced wedge, well-set large open based ears and a broad top line. Straight profile with a firm chin, level bite and deep blue eyes of excellent set and shape. He has a long, well muscled body of good weight, slender legs, oval paws and a tapered tail that is just long enough. The tail is lilac and white and there is a lilac patch on his hip with the remainder of the coat being mainly white. Short close lying coat just a tad coarse feeling, particularly along the back. 2 Bewychen Baroness Myntyl SIA b 21 F

3 Livercats Copper-King SIA o M Class 1960 AC Oriental Spotted or Tabby Cat 1 CH Hemlock The Outlaw OSH n 24 M Very well grown and mature looking brown spotted tabby boy of excellent style and type. He has a long wedge with large open based, lower set ears and a broad top line. Nice straight profile with a firm chin and level bite and pink nose. Lovely deep green eyes of beautiful oriental set and shape. This boy definitely has the look at me factor! He shows himself off to perfection and with great confidence. Lengthy, well toned body of excellent weight with an elegant neck that he uses to its best advantage. He stands tall on long slim legs with oval paws. His tail is tapered and in proportion to his body but I could feel a tiny something at the tip. He has well distributed and clearly defined spots on both sides of his body and under his tummy, a broken spine line and broken double necklaces together with a well-ringed tail. There is some agouti invasion present. His markings are jet black against a warm coppery brown ground. Groomed to perfection with a superb short, close lying, silky coat. A credit to his owner. Class 1961 AC Oriental Longhair or Bi-Colour Cat 1 Roseau Snape OSH c M Class 1971 AV Siamese or Balinese Kitten bred by Exhibitor, Male 1 Bewychen Daretodream SIA em 21 M Very young apricot tabby boy, just old enough to be shown and coping very well with what I presume to be his first outing. He is well grown for his age and of very promising type. He has a well-balanced head with large, well-set ears and good width across the top although I would personally prefer just a little more. Nice straight profile with a kitten pinch, a firm chin and level bite. His bright blue eyes are of good oval shape and well set. There is a lovely solid feel to this kitten. He has a long firm body of good weight with slender legs and proportionate oval paws. Lovely long whip tail. The apricot tabby points are slightly paler on his legs than his body at present and he has a clear warm creamy white body. Nice short, close lying coat. Delightful baby. Congratulations on his Best of Variety Siamese Kitten. Class 1994 AV Oriental Neuter not bred by Exhibitor 1 GRCH & IGRPR Wiccanways Diva Von Teez OSH h 03 FN How lovely to see this old friend again and to see her still looking so good. Mature chocolate tortie bi colour lady of excellent type and style. She has a nicely balanced head with large well-set ears that follow the lines of her wedge and a broad top line. Profile is almost straight with a firm chin and acceptable bite. She has expressive, green oriental eyes of lovely set and shape. Long weighty body perhaps carrying a touch too much weight at present. Elegant neck and long slender legs, oval paws and a tapered tail which is just long enough. She has patches of dark chocolate which are mingled with bright red and white under her tummy, on her chest, legs and face. Very well groomed glossy, short and close lying coat. In my opinion she has over a third white. Delightful girl with a wonderful temperament. Class 2006 AV Visitor Neuter 1 GRPR Hemlock Harley Quinn OSH b 24 FN

Chocolate spotted tabby girl of good overall style and type. She has a balanced medium length wedge with good-sized ears which have sufficient width between them. Lovely straight profile with a firm chin and level bite (with pearly white even teeth). Her bright green eyes are of correct oriental set and shape. Elegant young lady with a long neck and long firm body which has legs, paws and tail all in proportion. She has warm chocolate brown markings against a warm bronze ground. Her spots are irregular in shape, being a mix of oval and round, with some linkage on one side and some evidence of agouti invasion. She has broken double necklaces, a broken spine line and a well-ringed tail. Superb coat which is short and close lying, glossy and silky to the touch. Delightful girl. Class 2010 AC Oriental Smoke, Shaded or Tortieshell Neuter 1 GRPR Alderstar Mid-Knight Sky OSH f FN Mature tortie lady of overall good style and type. She has a nicely balanced medium wedge with well-set good-sized ears which have sufficient width between them. There is a small dip to her profile just above the nose, small pinch and a firm chin with what appears to be a level bite despite missing teeth. Her mid green eyes are of the correct oriental set and shape. She has a long body of good weight with a long neck, slender legs and neat oval paws. Her tail is just long enough to balance. This girl has very attractive tortie markings with a half and half face and a jet black coat which is well mingled with differing shades of red and sound to the roots. Although the coat was a tad long it was glossy with a lovely feel to it. Very gentle cat with a lovely temperament. Class 2011 AC Oriental Spotted or Tabby Neuter 1 GRPR Hemlock Harley Quinn OSH b 24 Class 2012 AC Oriental Longhair or Bi-Colour Neuter 1 Firousi Freddie-Flintstoned OLH n 03 MN Gorgeous young black and white Oriental Long Hair Bi-Colour boy of excellent type and style. He has a long wedge which is balanced by his broad top line and his large ears which he holds low (but above horizontal). There is a slight dip to his profile but he has a firm chin and level bite plus an evil expression. His olive green eyes are of the correct oriental shape and set. Well grown boy with a long, graceful neck which he uses to good effect, long firm and well muscled body of good weight, long fine legs, oval paws and a long plume to balance. He has black patches and a black tail which are mainly sound together with plenty of white certainly well in excess of the required one third minimum. His coat could be longer but is coming on well and his plume is well developed for his age. Both are beautifully silky and had been well prepared. Practicing his bad language today, but all talk. 2 GRCH & IGRPR Wiccanways Diva Von Teez OSH h 03 Class 2015 Red, Cream, Tortie, Apricot, Cinnamon, Fawn or Caramel Point Siamese Neuter. 1 UK OS IGRCH & UK IGRPR Littlefeat Powderfinger SIA f FN Beautiful mature lady of excellent style and type. Well-balanced head with large well set ears which have excellent width between them. Virtually straight profile with a firm chin and acceptable bite. Wonderful deep blue eyes of correct set and shape. Long, graceful body of good weight with slender legs and neat oval paws plus a long 5

tapered tail. Her seal points are well mingled with shades of red. Although shaded her body still shows plenty of contrast. Presented in superb condition and a credit to her owner. Wonderful temperament. 2 IGRCH & IGRPR Mafdet Malala SIA m FN Unlucky to meet the winner today. Another very beautiful mature girl of excellent style and type. She has a medium length well balanced head with large, well-set ears that have good width between them and a pinch. There is a rise in the profile between the eyes and she has a firm chin and acceptable bite with missing teeth. Her bright blue eyes are of the correct set and shape. Her points are lilac based caramel and her off white body is only lightly shaded. She has a short, close lying, sleek coat and, as ever, was beautifully presented. Class 2016 AC Tabby Point Neuter 1 IGRCH & IGRPR Whalleybush Stargazer SIA a 21 MN Gorgeous mature boy of excellent style and type. I have loved this lad since I first met him. He has a well-balanced head with large open based ears which he tends to hold quite low and a broad top line. His profile is straight and he has a firm chin and level bite. His eyes are brilliant blue and of the correct set and shape. The body is long and well muscled and he has slender legs with proportional oval paws and a tapered tail which is just long enough. Soft blue tabby points still have contrast with the moderately shaded body. As ever, superbly presented. Class 2020 AC Oriental Neuter 1 UK IGRCH & PR Alderstar Andro OSH em MN Mature and very handsome apricot boy of very good style and type. He is very masculine looking with a strong, slightly weighty body. Medium length balanced wedge with good-sized, well-set ears and sufficient width across the top. Slightly uneven profile with a small pinch, firm chin and level bite with beautiful teeth for his age. Bright green eyes of correct oriental set and shape. Neck, body, legs, tail and paws are all in proportion. Good, sound apricot colour with acceptable ghost tabby markings on his tail and sides. He had a short, glossy, close lying coat which was in excellent condition. Delightful temperament. End of Reports 6
