1 National Cat Club Mrs Val Anderson-Drew Thanks to Carol & Ron and the committee for the invitation to judge and the delicious lunch. I had a busy but enjoyable day and some lovely cats to judge. TITLED CLASSES GRAND - AOV SLH CHAMPION MALE GCC HUGHES S CH NORMAGIKATT SPIRIT OF GODS (NFO ns (67 36) M Norwegian Forest A young black smoke boy of not quite 1½ years with lovely strong bone. Triangular head with a long straight profile, deep chin & level bite. His ears are set wide apart with a broad base but could be a touch larger for balance. His eyes too could be larger though not helped by his black face; oval shape when he relaxed and more expressive when he was out of his pen. Long body & substantial limbs with large round paws & tufted toes. Bushy tail that could be a fraction longer for balance. Lots of coat with a ruff & knickerbockers. Coat double with a dense undercoat & the coarser topcoat developing down his back. A gentle fellow despite the odd grumble though not keen on showing himself off. RGCC ADAMS S CH RAGADEE LILAC DREAMBOAT (RAG c (66c)) M Lilac Colourpointed Ragdoll A well-grown boy of 3 years with strong bone. Broad head with a flat plane between the ears & well-developed cheeks & muzzle. Medium length nose with a gentle dip in profile. Good chin & level bite. Medium ears set wide apart with long inner furnishing & large wellopened blue eyes. Long muscular body with strong limbs of medium length, large round paws with tufted toes & long, quite bushy tail. Nicely prepared coat of a dense silky texture though of a shorter length on the body at present with a slight ruff. Lovely pale body colour contrasting with a full mask of dark lilac colour. Solid colour to the back of his ears but his limbs are paler & his tail is brindled at present. A gentle boy if a little shy shown in lovely condition. GRAND - AOV SLH CHAMPION FEMALE GCC GRANT S CH VANAHEIM KOORA (67 31gt) F Norwegian Forest A mature lady of 4½ years who had been beautifully prepared. Lovely balanced head with a feminine look, triangular with all side equal. Profile practically straight just a slight hind of a curve. Large ears set high & open and following the lines of her head. Expressive eyes of oval shape in an oblique setting. Elegant body carried high on long legs with strong bone & large round paws with tufted toes, long bushy tail. Good length to the coat with some ruff. Coat double with a good woolly undercoat on her tummy & slightly coarser topcoat along her back. Attractive colouration of high white with patches of blue tortie tabby contrasting with clean white. A sweet girl who was easy to handle. RGCC HAWORTH S CH DIZZIPAWS ONESIE (RAG n 04 (66w) F Seal Mitted Ragdoll A young girl of not quite 1½ years & still developing. Broad head with a flat plane between the ears with well-developed cheeks & muzzle. Medium length nose with a gentle dip in profile & almost retroussé tip to the nose. Good chin & level bite. Medium ears with inner furnishing, set wide apart with a slight forward tilt. Eyes of medium blue though they are set a little deep and could be more wide open. Long body though she needs to fill out & muscle up. Medium length limbs of good bone & long bushy tail. Silky soft coat with a full ruff & lovely pale body colour showing excellent contrast with the seal brown points. White chin, 1

2 chest & underbody to the tail. White front mittens & back legs. A gentle girl shown in lovely condition who had been beautifully prepared. GRAND - ORIGINAL FOREIGN CHAMPION FEMALE GCC BANDY S CH TROIKA RUSALKA (RUS a (16a)) F Russian Blue A pretty girl of only 1½ years. Feminine head with a flat skull & short wedge. Good angle & slight curve to the profile. Level bite with lovely teeth. OK whisker pads though they looked better when she relaxed & puffed them out. Tall ears set vertically to the head & reasonably large eyes set wide apart & on a slant; the green colour probably still developing as they were a better green around the pupil. Elegant & muscular body with slender limbs & oval paws. Tapering tail to balance though it is rather thick at the base. Coat reasonably dense & plushy, basically soft but a little harsher down her spine. Even blue colour with the silvery sheen developing. A gentle girl though a little tense when handled. BREED CLASSES MAINE COON BROWN/BLUE TABBY (INC BI-COLOUR) ADULT BOB DEANE S CH SILVERSCOON FREYA (MCO n 22 (64 41)) F Brown Classic Tabby & White A mature lady of 2 years. Head of medium length & slightly longer than wide with a deep chin though it could be broader. High cheek bones though her cheeks could be fuller. Slight concave curve to the profile. Tall ears with small tufts & some inner feathering. Large eyes, full & round. Long rectangular body & long tail to a balance though I would prefer her limbs to be more substantial. Silky coat of a good length with a ruff & shirt front. Classic tabby pattern with black markings on a copper agouti ground though the overall colour could be richer. Shown in lovely condition and easy to handle. NORWEGIAN FOREST ADULT MALE 1 ST CC HUGHES S FAVORIT DUMNY KOT*PL (NFO ns (67 41sz)) M A well-grown silver tabby plus white lad of 2½ years with super boning and a lovely temperament. Broad masculine head, triangular with all sides equal though his muzzle is a touch square. Straight profile, level bite & deep chin that rounds off a touch. Tall ears set high & open, of a good size and following the lines of his head. Large green eyes of oval shape in an oblique setting. Long body carried high on strong limbs with huge round paws & long bushy tail to balance. Shorter length to his coat with lots of woolly undercoat but not much topcoat at present. ALSO CONSIDERED FOR BEST OF BREED HUGHES S CH NORMAGIKATT SPIRIT OF GODS (NFO ns (67 36) M see Grand Class NORWEGIAN FOREST ADULT FEMALE 1 ST CC BROWN S MYSCHYFKITZ BUMBLE BEE (NFO fs (67 44esz)) F A feminine lady celebrating her first birthday at the show so only young and still developing. Triangular head slightly longer than wide with an almost straight profile. Level bite with lovely teeth but her chin could be a little deeper & stronger. Large ears, very tall and looking a little upright at present even though the outer edge follows the line of her head; hopefully as her head matures they will look more balanced. Large expressive green eyes of oval shape. Elegant body carried high on long legs with round paws but she needs to fill out & muscle up. Long tail to balance, the bushiness developing. Beautifully prepared coat with attractive tortie tabby colouration plus white & the promise of a good double coat to come with the coarser topcoat beginning to develop. Shown in lovely condition & easy to handle. 2

3 BOB CANDLER S GR CH FAIRYBELLES DAISY CHAIN (NFO g 21 (67 20g)) F A mature lady of 5 years who had been beautifully prepared. Lovely balanced head, triangular with a straight profile. Well-set ears & very expressive green eyes of oval shape in an oblique setting. Long body carried high on long limbs of reasonable bone with a long bushy tail to balance. Good length to the coat with a ruff & knickerbockers. Coat double with a well-developed woolly undercoat & slightly coarser topcoat. Shown in excellent condition & easy to handle. Masculine head with pronounced jowls. Flat skull, short wedge & prominent whisker pads. Good angle, slight curve to the profile, level bite & firm chin. Large tall ears & large eyes of a rounded almond shape set wide apart & on a slant; green around the pupil, paler towards the rim. Long body with elegant limbs & oval paws. Long tapering tail to balance though it is rather thick at the base. Silky soft, dense coat though it could with a little more oomph. Even blue colour that pales a little at the roots but well-developed silvery sheen. Very gentle fellow who was easy to handle. RUSSIAN BLUE ADULT, FEMALE BOB BANDY S CH TROIKA RUSALKA (RUS a (16a)) F see Grand Class USUAL ABYSSINIAN ADULT MALE BOB MUSPRATT S GR CH FLAMSTONE JASPURR (ABY n (23)) M A mature boy of 4 years with a gentle nature & enjoying his day out. Masculine head, a modified wedge though I would prefer a little more strength to his muzzle. Large cupped ears & expressive eyes. Very elegant though he is a little lean on his haunches at present, long legs with small paws & long tapering tail to balance. Short fine close-lying coat with black ticking on an apricot base. Good facial markings, unmarked chest, darker spine line & black tail tip. USUAL ABYSSINIAN ADULT FEMALE 1 ST CC ANDREWS S MARAFIKI AMELIA (ABY n (23)) F A young girl of only 10 months of a good weight for her size but she could be a little larger overall. Head a modified wedge with a typical Aby expression. Slight nose break in profile plus a small nose bump. Level bite. Good width between the ears tapering via a whisker indentation to a rounded muzzle. Cupped ears set wide apart though they could be more pricked. Quite large, expressive eyes of good shape & set. Elegant & muscular body with limbs & tail to balance. Close-lying coat clearly ticked with black on an apricot base. OK head markings & creamy-coloured chin. Very faint, well-broken necklet. Darker spine line, black tail tip & heels. She was shaking a little in her pen & a touch grumbly when out but not a problem to handle. 4 A very gentle young man of 1½ years with a good Russian expression. Tall vertically-set ears, green almond-shaped eyes & prominent whisker pads. Long muscular body with elegant limbs, oval paws and long tapering tail. Plushy double coat though a little harsh down his spine. Overall colour a little dark & I would prefer more silvery sheen. MISCELLANEOUS CLASSES AV SLH LIMIT KITTEN 1 ST BUTLER S YAHESKA PANTHERIA (MCO n (64 15)) MN Black Maine Coon A very relaxed young man of only 4 months. Head developing with huge tufted ears but his eyes are a touch small. Long body with limbs of reasonable bone & long tail to balance. Coat developing, soft as yet but with good black colour at the roots. 2 ND SALLOWS S FILENSIO VELVET TRUFFLE (RGM n 31 (60 27)) F RagaMuffin A well-grown young lady of 6 months who had been beautifully prepared. Head developing nicely, good body shape but she needs to fill out. Soft silky seal brown coat. Feminine head with a nice look though her profile is a touch straight. Well-set ears & expressive green eyes. Long body with muscular limbs & moderately long, slightly tapering tail. Soft coat though a touch greasy, good rosetted pattern on a golden base. A friendly girl who wanted to play! AV FOREIGN/ORIENTAL LIMIT ADULT 1 ST PORTSMOUTH S JUSARKA DREAM-CATCHER (TAI a 33 ( )) F Thai Blue Point A young lady & only just adult. Heart-shaped head with well-set ears & large well-opened blue eyes. Muscular semi-cobby body with limbs & tail to balance. Lovely coat, short fine & close-lying with well-developed blue points. A gentle girl shown in super condition. 2 ND BANDY S MITHRIM BOGDAN TOVARITSJ (IMP) 3 RD MANSELL S ADZWOSH FENJA MAI (72 43s) F Black Silver Burmilla AV FOREIGN MAIDEN KITTEN 1 ST IRWING S SHOMILI ICE-ANNA (BEN n 24 (76 30)) F Brown Spotted Bengal A well-grown young lady of not quite 5 months. Head developing with well-set ears & large eyes, the colour developing. Athletic body & lovely soft dense coat clearly marked with rosetted spots on a golden base. 2 ND MURRAY-BROOKS S TROIKA VARVARA (RUS a (16a)) F Russian Blue A sweet gentle girl of 5 months. Nice Russian look with tall vertically-set ears & prominent whisker pads. Eyes of good shape & set with the green colour developing though they could be larger. Elegant body with limbs to balance & long tapering tail. Soft dense coat if a touch long, the colour a little uneven as yet. Shown in lovely condition & easy to handle. 3 RD THEAKSTON S TROIKA OKSANA (RUS a (16a)) F Russian Blue AV FOREIGN LIMIT NEUTER 1 ST ROBERTSON S ONATUREL APPENNINE STAR (SPH n 03 (84 31)) MN A well-grown young man of 1½ years with a strong muscular body with a rounded chest & abdomen. Muscular limbs & long fine tail. Head a modified wedge with large ears that held 4

5 a little upright & his eyes could be more lemon-shaped. Fine down on the body, slightly thicker down on his nose. A gentle boy who was easy to handle. 2 ND SPENCER-FLEET S TONKAHOLICS SUMMERSOLSTICE (TOS d 33 ( )) FN Red Colourpointed Tonkinese A well grown young lady of only 9 months shown in super condition. Her head is a moderately proportioned wedge with good width between the ears, definite whisker pinch & rounded muzzle. Slight break to the profile & level bite though her chin is shallow & could be a little stronger. Medium ears slightly taller than wide with a broad base & oval tips though they are set a fraction low. Large blue eyes of almond-shaped with a more rounded lower line. Strong muscular body of medium length with slender limbs to balance. Tapering tail of medium length. Her coat is a touch long especially near the base of her tail though lies close & has a fine silky texture. Lovely pale body colour contrasting with rich red points though the mask is still developing. Lovely temperament she has a sweet friendly nature. Head a medium wedge with well-set ears & quite large green eyes. Long muscular body with limbs to balance & tapering tail. Lovely coat, soft & dense with rosetted spots on the body though the pattern is a little solid down his back.
