Thanks to the exhibitors as I had some wonderful cats to judge today and some difficult close decisions to make. Thanks to my steward Miss C Jenkins for being such a wonderful steward and much help. I was delighted to be judging the British BOV Neuter and there were 6 beautiful cats in this class. My winner was a very handsome cream longhair Selkirk Rex of 11 months and 3 weeks old - Exh 119 Mrs K Winn s PR NOONTIDE FOXGLOVE JINGLEDUST (SRL e (79L 17)) MN Many congratulations a well deserved win. Nice head with good proportions of depth and width. Ears are medium in size broad at base with good curly furnishings and tufts to tips. Good width between ears. Gently rounded brow. Short downward slanting nose with correct convex curve in profile. Chin is firm and level bite. A fraction square in muzzle today but developing well padded whisker pads. Some curly and broken whiskers. Large expressive well opened eyes that are well rounded. And nicely set apart. Some curly eyebrows. Well developed body, for age, developing a nice deep cobby rectangular look with good depth and width at shoulders and rump. Chest rounded in profile. Legs are short thick with good sized large rounded paws. Tail is good length to balance. Coat is flowing, soft to feel and in a random pattern with good rexing, standing away from body. Legs are well rexed to paws, chest, belly and neck well rexed and developing slight ruff. Tail has flowing plumes. Burmese Section: Burmese Open Kitten Classes: Two beautiful brown kittens Class 503a Brown Burmese Kitten Male 1 st BOB Ex 196 Miss Wrigglesworth ROSSIKHAN AFTER DARK (BUR n (27)) M Now 7 months and 4 weeks old and growing very nicely. He s a super little character very playful and starting teething. Good rounding to top of head and good gentle rounding to forehead in profile. Good width to head and short wedge ending with a blunt finish to muzzle. In profile has good depth to head with a defined nose break. Nose is short and straight and ends in same vertical plane as chin. Chin is fairly deep and bite is level. Ears are medium in size, open at base with rounded tips, set with slight tilt forwards and good nice width between them. Overall a lovely balanced head with ears continuing the contours of the head and head is in good proportion to body on slender neck. Eyes are expressive and a good size, in a yellow chartreuse colour, set well apart with gentle curve to top line and deeper curve to lower line. Very nice Burmese expression. Body has, in profile a nicely rounded deep chest, straight back and good depth to body. Body is well grown for weight, much heavier than he appears and with good firm muscle tone for his age. Legs are slender with neat oval paws. Tail is medium tapering to a rounded tip and good length to balance. Coat is short, fine in texture, close lying, with satin feel, well polished and super glossy finish, in a rich seal colour. A lovely confident chap who is very comfortable sitting in my arm too big now for my pocket but still.a soppy boy. Class 503b Brown Burmese Kitten Female 1 st Ex197 Mr & Mrs Bone SYKRIS MISS CHIEF (BUR n (27)) F A lovely girl 6 months and 1 week with a super Burmese expression. Very unlucky today for a very close BOB award sorry. Nicely rounded top of head. In profile, head has good depth. Slight flattening to brow and could have a fraction more roundness for perfection. Short wide wedge to blunt muzzle. Tip of nose and firm chin in same plane. Medium sized ears, wide at base, correct slight tilt forward in set with rounded tips. Expressive eyes, well shaped with correct gentle curve to top line and deeper curve to lower, well set apart, in yellow colour with hint of chartreuse at centre. In profile shows a good break to straight short nose that just falls off at the very tip. Bite is marginally Tuesday, 15 August
4 but acceptably untidy. Body is still developing as yet but is well muscled and heavy with straight back and curved chest in profile. Slender limbs with oval paws. Medium tail which is just long enough to balance in length and tapers to a rounded end. Coat is a rich warm seal colour paling to underparts which has a super glossy finish and satin texture. A very pleasing girl, well presented and a real poppet. Class 510 AOC Tortoiseshell Burmese Kitten 1 st BOB Ex 198 Prof. Jarvis KYMIAN TANZANITE (BUR h (27h)) F A lovely chocolate tortie baby of 4 months old with a beautifully pleasing delicately coloured coat. Burmese Miscellaneous Classes: Class 898 AC Burmese Junior Adult 1 st Ex 184 Mr & Mrs Bone CH SYKRIS CHINA LADY (BUR n (27)) F I judged this girl as a kitten and was impressed so I m happy to see she has done so well since. Lovely expression and cattitude. 2 nd Ex 183 Mrs Brininger ISAJEN KARRIE-KINTYRE (BUR n (27)) M Class 903 AC Burmese Maiden Adult 1 st Ex 189 Miss Robertshaw ROSSIKHAN JUST FOR YOU (BUR b (27b)) F Just 9 months and 4 weeks with a short wedge, fair break, lovely expression and beautiful warm milk chocolate coat. Class 928 AC Burmese Breeders Neuter Female Two beautiful girls who I have judged before. 1 st Ex 200 Mrs L Power GR CH & IGR PR INDIANSTAR SUMARA (BUR c (27c)) FN A lovely super coat. 2 nd Ex 201 Mrs L Power CH & IGR PR INDIANSTAR SHIMLA (BUR c (27c)) FN Class 936 AC Burmese Neuter 1 st Ex 199 Mrs L Power UK OBIGP MAINMAN RAJAH (BUR b (27b)) MN super relaxed boy not showing his senior years at all. Class 937 AC Burmese Debutante Neuter 1 st Ex 202 Mrs Mansaray KYMIAN STARMAN (BUR e (27f)) MN I jusdge this lad as a kitten and loved him due to his very relaxed nature which he displayed today and wanted loads of cuddles. A cream boy with a slight gentle roundness to top of head. In profile, good width across at cheek bones and good depth to head. Slight rounding to brow. Pleasing short wide blunt wedge with good finish. Firm chin which ends level with nose in same plane. Level bite. Nose is short with good break. Pink nose leather. Slender neck. Ears are medium in size, slightly open at base. Set with width between them and continuing nicely the contours of head. Ears have correct slight tilt forward. Eyes are developing a nice shape with a slight curve to top line and deeper curve to lower well set apart in a good gold yellow colour. Some brown freckling around lower edges of eyes present. Body is medium in size, well grown for age and of good weight and nicely firming muscle. In profile chest is rounded, straight back and feels heavier than he looks. Proportionate slender legs and good oval paws with pink pads. Medium thickness tail that is good length to balance tapering to rounded tip. Coat is short and close lying but a fraction loner along spine line. A satin and silky feel to texture. Coat colour is a pale Tuesday, 15 August
5 warm cream with gradual shading to underparts. Broken necklace and some quite slight smudges to rear legs and belly. There is a gentle bloom to tips of ears, top of head and along back. Overall, a well balanced kitten, who really just wanted to be lifted for cuddles. Tuesday, 15 August
