1 Jane L Francis Wilson Asian Cat Association Championship Show 17 th April 2010 An excellent entry of quality cats for the first championship show which was as usual well run with a super atmosphere and yet again the sun shone from a cloudless blue sky! Many thanks for the invitation, I enjoyed myself immensely including a first rate lunch and lovely pressie to take home. Also not forgetting my hard working steward Steve (Hillman) who steered me round a busy day thank you for your company I hope you enjoyed your day. Open Classes Asian (Tiffanie) Kitten Asian (Tiffanie) Kitten 1 & BOB JAMES INYANGA LAIRDOF FILANDRE (68 43dsq) Red Silver Shaded Tiffanie with Burmese Colour Restriction male 7 months 2 weeks I first met this handsome young man a few weeks ago and he continues to develop well and please the eye. Head forms a short well balanced wedge with width at the cheek-bones tapering to a blunt muzzle. The top is gently rounded between shapely ears of medium size set well apart, broad based with rounded tips showing tiny tufts. They have a slight forward tilt and possess light internal feathering. In profile the head has good depth with slight rounding to the brow leading to a defined break. Nose is slightly long but straight the tip in line to a firm chin that could be a fraction deeper; bite is level. Eyes of chartreuse green are large, lustrous and spaced well apart. The top lid slants towards the nose with a fuller lower lid giving him a good Burmese expression. Body is well developed, weighty of good proportions and has a nice firm feel. Back is straight with a rounded chest; tail needs to be a little longer and the plume continues to developing really well. Limbs are shapely, strong without sturdiness, ending in neat oval shaped paws possessing tiny toe tufts. Coat flows well beneath the hand, the texture is fine and silky with good promising length especially to the lower sides and shows the beginnings of ruff and breeches. Undercoat is a clear sparkling silver totally free from tarnishing with a very delicate, subtle and even mantle of light tangerine along the back and tail, shading down the sides giving the effect of a soft warm glow. Some slightly darker markings to the head, ears and legs but still of matching subtle hue. Excellent nature and comfortably presented. Congratulations on your BIS Tiffanie Household Pet Non-Pedigree Tabby LH/SLH Male 1 & MC TIBBOTTS MERLIN LH Tabby & White 8 years Large shy gentleman with a beautifully prepared long tabby coat. Wistful slightly surprised expression in his large clear chartreuse eyes. Strong well covered body, strong legs with dinky tufts to his toes that are tipped with sparkling white. Long waving tail, lovely condition and most comfortably presented. Tabby LH/SLH Female 1 & MC Best of Group WARWICK S MINI MINSTREL SH Classic Tabby 33 weeks Pretty lady with a super classic tabby pattern who welcomed us with confidence and purrs and a very ladylike meow. Alert, with bright clear eyes and pretty ears held upright. What a gorgeous talking tail and pretty tufted toes. Firm nicely covered body she is in excellent condition and beautifully presented. Self SH Male Neuter 1 & MC Best of Group BERRY S IVAN SH White 3 years A huge self possessed fellow, totally relaxed and at home in his excellent presented pen. Pristine sparkling white coat, not a hair out of place, short crisp but with a lovely dense luxurious feel to the finger tips. Strong muscular masculine body, an excellent nature he knows how to enjoy a cuddle. My choice for BIS and I was delighted to see his overall win. Well done I thought you the pieces. 2 KITSON S MORGAN SH Black 6 years another super cat a proper Sylvester in his black and white suit so smart and presentable. Gentle fellow and lovely nature so well presented. 3 POWELL S PIXIE SH Black & White 1 year 6 months Lovely open face to this well presented gentle person. Coat so soft and silky of shining black impeccably groomed. Expressive eyes. Solid firm body and a lovely purr to boot! 1

2 Self SH Female Neuter 1 & MC SKINNER S MILLIE SH Black & White 16 months Pretty lady with a jet black coat perfectly prepared satin-like and glossy but she did prefer the safety of her blankets. Clear sparkling eyes, dainty rounded paws and expressive shortish tail. Loved the white on her ears. 2 BERRY S MOLLY SH White 5 years Close runner up to the previous lady. Rather shy peeking out from under her blankets. Beautifully prepared and presented lass in a shiny black and Persil white coat that is short and crisp. Large expressive eyes. Very nice condition. Ginger/AC Tortie SH Neuter 1 & MC Best of Group KITSON S WHISKEY SH Ginger & White male neuter 5 years Oh what a time waster this super boy was the one that challenged my choice for BIS this boy or the white and I couldn t have both. Sparkly white with splashes of ginger especially to his face and ears. Strong muscular body I loved his beautifully ringed tail. Well presented in excellent condition he sat in my arms composed and watched the world go by. AOC SH Neuter 1 & MC Best of Group KITSON S Mc SMARTIE SH Tricolour female neuter 5 years I adored the patched colours of this dainty girl so pretty so attractive. Large expressive green eyes but surprising to meet such a gentle calm Tortie A calico girl with a coat so soft and plush, well covered body so beautifully prepared and presented. Miscellaneous Classes AV Adolescent Adult 1 HINKS INYANGA TIFFKINS SABLE (68 42q) Brown Smoke Tiffanie female with Burmese Colour Restriction 10 months 2 weeks A beautifully balanced young queen of very good type. Head forms a short wedge, wide at the cheek bones and tapering to a blunt finish at the muzzle. The top is gently rounded with well spaced ears of medium size with light internal streamers and tiny tufts to the tips. They are broad at their base and show a slight forward tilt. In profile the head has good depth with a gentle curve to the brow leading to a defined break. Nose is straight and short, bite good, chin quite firm just marginally slopes away thus almost in line to the nose tip. Chartreuse yellow eyes are large and lustrous and beautifully shaped with the top lid slanting towards the nose with a fuller lower lid giving rise to a very good Burmese expression. Overall just a touch petite, but of very good weight with a firm well toned muscled body. Proportionate with a straight back and gently rounded chest, limbs are elegant with dainty oval paws, tail needs a further inch but a beautiful full plume does go some way to disguise this fact. Coat is fine, silky and flows under the hand. The length is acceptable for age and stage of development although it will need further length - she has time on her side. Beginnings of ruff and breeches noted. Smoke is in a clear and even warm seal over a pristine silver under coat which currently is extending just on half way up the hair shaft, I hope that it will not develop much further as the silver is likely to break through to the surface. Face shows the typical clown markings of a smoke. Lovely condition, well prepared and presented an exhibit with excellent manners. 2 FALLON-NORRIS CLARENLIS FASCINATION (68 43cq) Lilac Shaded Tiffanie female with Burmese Colour Restriction 12 months 2 weeks Pretty young lass with a moderate wedge that could have a touch more width at the cheeks to balance the length of head tapering to a blunt muzzle. Slightly flat top needing a touch further width between marginally small but well shaped (mobile) ears held rather upright but better when relaxed. These are broad based with pretty internal streamers and tiny ear tufts. In profile the head has quite good depth with a very slightly flat brow leading to a break that could have more definition. Nose is longish but straight the tip in line to a fairly firm chin; correct bite. Large lustrous clear yellow eyes of good shape are set well apart with the upper lid slanting nicely towards the nose and a fuller lower lid, beautifully expressive and I thought her best feature as they do give her an Asian look. Firm svelte body of medium length could benefit from a little further muscle - she seems to be on the edge of a call which could explain why she is less weighty than expected and also is so wriggly! Elegant shapely limbs with neat very slightly rounded tufted paws, gentle rounding to chest with a straight back. Good balancing length of tail with rounded tip showing a super plume. Coat is a medium to short length, soft and fine, flowing under the hand. Breeches are showing some development, minimal ruff as yet. Even shading of dark lilac showing some faint markings to sides over a rather dull beige/mushroom ground. Slightly more intense colour down the back and tail matching the colour up the hocks and the light tracings to the head, face and legs. In the good light of the hall, I felt that the lilac was not the best being rather dark and dull in tone. Excellent temperament if somewhat lively. 2

3 AV Junior Adult 1 LOVELL S MALBRANT BALHKASH (72 43bsq) Chocolate Silver Burmilla female with Burmese Colour Restriction 1 year 3 months A well balanced queen of quality and good type. Head shows short wedge with good width at the cheeks tapering to a blunt muzzle. Gentle rounding to top between well spaced broad based ears of good shape medium in size with neat rounded tips and tilting slightly forward. In profile the head shows good depth with a slight rounding to brow leading to a quite well defined break. A fairly short nose is straight the tip in line with a firm deep chin, bite level. Chartreuse green eyes of good large size are set well apart of good shape with upper lid slanting to the nose and the lower lid rounder and fuller giving her a good Burmese expression. Well grown and developed body possesses firm well toned muscle with good weight and substance. Back is level, chest rounded with proportionate slender limbs and dainty oval paws. Tail is a little thick along its length almost reaching to the shoulder, and does taper slightly to a paint brush tip. Beautifully sleek fine textured coat of good short length gleaming with health just a touch longish down the back. Light mantle of warm milky chocolate shading is beautifully clear and even over the body with slight intensity of colour down the spine to a matching coloured tail tip. Pale silvery undercoat extends about half way up the hair shaft. One very faint broken necklace with a smudgy scarab to the head and other light markings to the extremities. Well presented, but what naughty language for such a lovely lady! 2 LAWRENCE S LAWRENCO WOODLANDS ZIVA (72 45q) Brown Ticked Tabby female with Burmese Colour Restriction 1 year 8 months Dainty elegant young queen of very nice type. Head forms a medium short wedge with good width at the cheek bones tapering to a fairly blunt finish at the muzzle. Gentle rounding to top between medium ears of good shape spaced well apart, she has a tendency to bonnet them. These are broad at base with neat rounded tips and show a slight forward tilt. In profile the head has good depth with a slight rounding to the brow leading to a defined break. Longish nose is straight with a level bite and fairly good depth to a chin which slopes back slightly. Large lustrous pale green chartreuse eyes of good set and well shaped with top lid slanting towards the nose and a fuller lower lid giving her a good expression. Body a touch petite but of very good substance and weight feeling firm and muscular. Proportionate slender elegant limbs, neat oval paws; tapering tail with rounded tip is slightly short to the shoulder. Nicely rounded chest with straight back. Coat short and fine lying tightly to the body and having a lovely glossy surface. Two bands of clear ticking in a rich seal brown over a warm toned beige ground colour. Slightly more intense colour down the spine to a coloured tail tip with well coloured hocks and some attractive markings to the extremities matching in colour A little pale to muzzle and lips-just beginning to spread a fraction lower down the throat. Well broken necklace and thumb prints. Condition first rate as are her manners. 3 HAMILTON S INYANGA CLARINDA (68 43q) Brown Shaded Tiffanie female with Burmese Colour Restriction 1 year 5 months AV Senior Adult 1 PILKINGTON S CH GARES SEA ENCHANTRESS (72 45bq) Chocolate Ticked Tabby female with Burmese Colour Restriction 4 years 3 months Beautiful mature queen of stylish type. Head forms a short wedge wide at the cheek bones tapering to a blunt finish at the muzzle. Gentle rounding to top between ears of medium size spaced well apart and of good shape being broad based with rounded tips and typical forward tilt. In profile the head has good depth, brow is slightly flat but the break is well defined break. Nose is longish but straight, bite level with a firm chin in line to nose tip. Large pale green eyes, lustrous and shapely set well apart with the top line slanting towards the nose and the lower fuller in shape giving her that special Burmese look. Strong weighty muscular but feminine body, straight back and rounded chest with elegant limbs ending in neat oval paws. Tapering tail almost to shoulder has a small fixed deviation at the end. Excellent short sleek coat showing two bands of clear even ticking in warm chocolate with a paler brown ground colour. Slightly more intensity of colour down the spine to a matching tail tip and to the hocks and ears. Lovely nature and beautifully presented. 2 AGUS INYANGA CHINA-TREE (72 43asq) Blue Silver Burmilla female 2 years with Burmese Colour Restriction Pretty female of nice type but looking rather immature for her age. Head shows fairly wide short wedge, wide at cheeks tapered to quite blunt finish at muzzle. Slight rounding to top between medium large ears of good set and set well apart, broad at base with rounded tips and slight forward tilt. In profile reasonable depth to head with a very slight curve to brow leading to a break that needs to be more defined. Nose straight and quite short, bite level chin in line but touch shallow. Large lustrous eyes - at first glance whilst in the pen the colour looked to be a pale luminous green but when viewed in the clear daylight in the hall there appears to be a degree of greenish blue. Fair slant to 3

4 upper lid, fuller rounding to lower leading to a quiet a nice expression but their colour is quite off-putting. Svelte firm body, well proportioned of medium size she could be a little weightier. Slender limbs, dainty paws, with a tail a touch short with blunt end disguising a small fixed deviation-felt but not seen. Coat long, soft textured and full to touch but lying well along the body. Medium mantle of clear even soft silvery grey blue shading to lighter colour at lower sides over an excellent clear silvery under coat extending well up the hair shaft. Slightly darker colour down the spine to tail tip with some tabby markings to extremities including a broken necklace and smudgy scarab to the head. Well prepared and presented with excellent manners in very good condition. AV Silver Kitten 1 ROBERTSHAW S SHADOWS CHIPPU KUKKI (72 42hq) Chocolate Tortie Smoke female with Burmese Colour Restriction 4 months 2 weeks Delightful kitten, stylish kitten, alert and of super type. Head forms a very good short wedge wide at the cheek bones and tapering to a blunt finish at the muzzle. Top is gently rounded between nicely shaped largish ears set well apart, broad based with neat rounded tips and slight forward tilt. In profile the head has good depth with a gentle curve leading to a distinct break. Nose is short and straight with level bite (she is teething), chin firm in line to the tip of the nose. Large lustrous eyes of yellow/green are set well apart and of good shape. Top line slants very gently towards the nose with a fuller lower line giving rise to an excellent Asian/Burmese expression. Firm weighty body, well proportioned with level back and slightly rounded chest. Slim limbs, dainty oval paws and balancing length of tapering tail with a paintbrush tip to the shoulder. Still wearing her baby coat which is short and fine textured. Warm milky chocolate smoke broken throughout with varying pale reds over a clear silvery undercoat. Face shows typical clown markings (which at first glance distort the shape of the upper eye lids) and looking down her back it is as if two halves (like an Easter egg) have been joined together. No forgetting this kitten! Happy, playful promising little person, my take home exhibit of the day - Congratulations on being BOV Kitten. 2 JAMES INYANGA LAIRDOF FILANDRE (68 43dsq) Red Silver Shaded Tiffanie with Burmese Colour Restriction male 7 months 2 weeks 3 TURNER-RUSSELL S FRILFORD FROSTY-KNIGHT (72 43bsq) Chocolate Silver Burmilla male with Burmese Colour Restriction 5 months AV Silver Neuter 1 EK S PR KARESAMA SILVER SEAMERCURY (72 43nsq) Caramel Silver Burmilla male neuter with Burmese Colour Restriction 2 year 5 months A stylish male of lovely type with a degree of attitude.
