1 YORKSHIRE COUNTIES CAT CLUB MARIA CHAPMAN-BEER Many thanks to Linda, Jim and the Committee for their kind invitation to judge. The hospitality, as always, was first class. A big thank you also to Steve Parkin who kindly chauffeured us to the station. A Committee that all work hard and support the show, well done to you all. I had an excellent line-up of kittens for Best Foreign Kitten, the best I have had in some time. My final choice went to a super Sorrel Abyssinian female kitten EAGLAND S ABYCHAT VOGUE, a very promising little girl. Only just old enough to be at the show she was a lovely example of the breed, she also showed herself off really well. I have to admit, she nearly ended up in my pocket. I had the assistance of Joanne Geddes throughout the day, who is an excellent steward and kept me in order, many thanks Joanne. IMPERIAL FOREIGN GRAND PREMIER MALE: IMP GR PR GR PR MAKIMA KYANITE (RUS a). Large ears of good set and shape with flattening to top of head between. Green eyes of good expression, set well and of good almond shape, breadth between. Prominence to whisker pads giving a broad end to head. Profile shows an angle with a slight curve to profile with a very small bump, level chin. A young boy of 15 months, nicely developed for age with a muscular body of good size, slim shape to legs and oval paws. Coat has density and is showing colour to roots, silvery sheen, would ideally like a little softer. Good shape and length to tail. A gentle nature to this very nice boy. RES IMP GR PC HUTCHINSON S GR PR TOBYSDEN HARRY HOUDINI (BEN n 24 33). A chatty boy, talking to everyone who passed by. Medium sized ears of good shape with breadth between, slight rounding to top of head. Large pale blue eyes of good shape and set with uniform width to nose between, defined whisker pads. Gentle contour to profile with a slight bump to nose, level chin with untidy teeth but bite level. A good sized boy with body of good length and weight, slim well shaped legs and paws. Well defined brown spots on an ivory base coat, including rosettes and arrowheads, broken and unbroken necklaces, good spotting to belly. Coat is of good texture and has density. Well marked tail of medium length. A nice lad who presents and stands well. GRAND CHAMPION BURMESE FEMALE: Two very nice girls. GR CC RIDDLE S CH OAKFORD SUMMERTHYME (BUR n). Good breadth to gently rounded top of head between medium sized ears of good size and set. Large yellow eyes of good set, she does round them a little when out of pen but when back in the safety of her pen and relaxes, very nice expression. Blunt muzzle to short balanced wedge. Nose break to profile, bump to nose, level chin which could be deeper. A weighty, mature girl of good bone with good depth to chest, slim legs and neat oval paws. Super shine to very close lying coat, of excellent texture, fits like a glove (couple of white hairs scattered on neck which looks like damage). Medium length to tail. RES GR CC RIDDLE S CH OAKFORD SELENE (BUR b). About a year younger than the winner and from the same household. Rounding to top of head between ears of good set and shape. Large yellow eyes of good shape and set. Blunt muzzle to wedge with a nose break to profile, rounding off slightly at nose leather, chin could be firmer and deeper. Good size and bone to body with good depth to chest, good weight and feel, slim legs and oval paws. Even warm chocolate colour to coat of good texture and lies well. Medium length to tail. A little grumble but no malice. RUSSIAN BLUE ADULT FEMALE: BOB awarded to: PHILLIPS GR CH MELKELTER GALIYA GERTRUDA. Medium sized ears of good set and shape, would ideally like larger in size, flattening to top of head between. Green eyes of good shape and set with good width between, nice expression. Good prominence to whisker pads giving a good broad end to head. Angle to profile with a slight concave curve, small bump to nose, level chin. Slim body of good size and weight, with slim legs and neat oval paws. Coat is of good texture and has density, mid blue in colour with a silvery sheen. Good shape and length to tail. Lovely purr and nature to this girl who poses so well. I believe she went on to win Best Overall Foreign, many congratulations.
2 MARIA CHAPMAN-BEER -2- YORKSHIRE COUNTIES 2017 BROWN SPOTTED BENGAL NEUTER MALE: BOB awarded to: GR PR TOBYSDEN WILLIAMOFORANGE. I liked this boy very much, a grand old gentleman of over 8.5 years of age. Large ears set well, slight flattening to forehead. Deep green colour to eyes of good shape and set, good uniform width to nose between. A slim lad with long body, very firm and muscular in feel, slim legs and good shape to paws. Contour to profile with a bump to nose, level chin, level gums as has no small teeth now. Rich rufus tone to brown coat with well defined dark brown and black markings and spots. Coat is a little long now but lies well. Well marked tail. A gentle lad who handles so well, a joy to judge thank you he stole my heart. BROWN BURMESE FEMALE ADULT: BOB awarded to: RIDDLE S CH OAKFORD SUMMERTHYME. ORIENTAL BLUE KITTEN: 1 & BOB ALARIO WINDSOR male. A well grown, strong lad in fine condition. Large ears wide at base with very good breadth between, does hold low some of the time but when relaxed of good set. Oriental shape and slant to green eyes with width between, aloof expression. Strong head, nicely balanced with a strong straight profile and level chin and bite (gums a little red). Elegant and muscular slim body of very good weight and size, long slim legs and oval paws. Sleek dark blue coat with a shine, just a little fading to roots in a couple of areas, but generally sound. Coat is fine and very close lying. Tapering tail, showing a few feint tabby markings. Very nice boy whom I believe went on to become Overall Best Oriental, many congratulations. ORIENTAL BI-COLOUR KITTEN MALE: 1 & BOB ALLEN S VONTEEZ ERIE-RIQUE (OLH a ). Sweet young kitten only just old enough to be here and I think nearly disappeared into several pockets during the day. Large ears are wide at base with breadth between, does bonnet them slightly some of the time. Oriental shape to eyes, of a straighter set rather than an oriental slant with width between, colour developing being a muddy green at present. Attractive blue markings either side of the bridge of nose and a little blue blotch on his pink nose leather, some blue on back of ears and head. Medium length wedge with a virtually straight profile, a little rise at bridge of nose and a slight dip to forehead at present. Good depth to chin, teeth are a little untidy at present with the centre top small teeth just slightly set back but canines are level, teething. He is obviously a long hair and his coat length is well developed for his age, fine in texture and lies well with a shine. Sparkling white to coat with darker blue patches on body and shoulders which are sound to roots. White is between 65%-70% coverage, with a little blue on inside of back legs. Some encroachment of white into the blue patches on body. Good weight and size to this young kitten, looks to have had a large breakfast with a bit of a round tummy, long slim legs and neat oval paws. Good shape to tapering tail with length to fur developing. He was a real purrer and loved the cuddles, such a sweet nature. This kitten was as entered as a blue tabby but found no evidence of tabby. As he was the only entry, I did not penalise as it would not have affected the class he was entered into. TABBY POINT SIAMESE KITTEN: 1. MILES SIMPLISMITTEN OOH LALA (SIA n 21) female. A very pretty and feminine girl who was very stylish. Large ears have good width to base and are well set, thumbprints to backs. Clear warm seal coloured M to forehead with clear ribbons and tabby markings to face. Good blue colour to lovely eyes of good size and of oriental shape and slant with width between. Balanced medium length wedge with a virtually straight profile and good chin, level bite. A slim, elegant body of very nice weight and of good size, long slim legs and neat oval paws. Fine and short, close lying coat of very good texture with a shine, slight tonal shading to body, definite seal tabby markings to legs with clear tabby rings to approximately ¾ length of tail with a seal tip. Tail is fine and tapers to end, could have another half inch to balance. Lovely purr and nature to this well balanced girl who handles and poses so well.

WATKINS ROGUS HARRIET-INAHURRY (DRX w 61) female. A very pretty girl. Flattening to top of head between medium sized ears which are wide at base and well set. Large blue eyes set well apart. Very fine coat, extremely close lying and has a shine, colour sound to roots. Slim tapering tail, would like another half inch to balance. In super condition and presents herself so well.
