1 LANCASHIRE CAT CLUB SHOW MARIA CHAPMAN-BEER Many thanks to Chris, Janet and the team for their hospitality. A busy, varied day which seemed to go smoothly from my front of house position. As ever in this area, a very good Russian entry of a very good standard, giving me quite a headache but a good headache to have, thank you. RAGAMUFFIN KITTEN: 1 & BOB MCDOWELL S CHEHAM RAINBOW S GOLD (RGM n ) female. A very pretty girl. Broad head of moderate length with rounded contours. Broad top of head with dainty ears with furnishings, set well with good breadth between. Large green eyes a little round in shape some of the time but of walnut shape when relaxed. Nose break to profile with a bump to nose, well developed chin, would like a little more whisker pad but still developing. A well grown girl, weighty, with heavily boned legs of medium length and large round paws, lovely white gloves and bootees. Soft coat of medium long length with density. Well furnished tail. RAGAMUFFIN NEUTER FEMALE: BOB awarded to: ARCHER S IMP GR PR FILENSIO PANDORA CHARM (RGM ns ). Very broad head with rounded contours. Medium sized ears are well placed with good furnishings. Large green eyes of good shape and expression, rounded cheeks. Puffiness to whisker pads with a nose break to profile, slightly tapering chin. Short neck with a mature body, a weighty, plump lass, heavy bone to medium long legs with large rounded paws with tufts. Good ruff with density to coat of medium long length, plushsaz and soft with undercoat. Well defined black tabby markings on silver coat with white gloves and bootees. Good plume to tail. A gentle girl. Also considered: ARCHER S PR FILENSIO SILVER-DREAM (RGM ns 03 22) female. Very sweet, pretty girl not yet quite a year old. Very good overall type and nice expression, a little tarnishing to muzzle. Look forward to seeing her as she develops. RUSSIAN BLUE ADULT MALE: 1 CC PHILLIPS MELKELTER INNOKENTIY. Young lad just over 18 months of age. Ears of good set and shape, could be larger in size, with flattening to top of head between. Larger almond shaped green eyes are set well apart. Would like more prominence to whisker pads but much better once been out of pen and alert, jowling to head. Angle to profile with a slight contour to profile, level chin. Slim body of good size, could be a little weightier but a young working male, long slim legs and oval paws. Silvery sheen to darker blue coat which has density, could be softer in texture. Tail of good shape, showing faint tabby markings, would like a little more length. A well behaved lad. RUSSIAN BLUE ADULT FEMALE: 1CC PECK S MIAKUSH AELIA AAFJE. Large ears of good set and shape with flattening to top of head between. Green eyes with quite a serious expression, good width between. Prominence to whisker pads, angle to profile with a slight contour to nose, chin is slightly set back. A young girl of 10.5 months of age, of very good weight and feel to slim body of good size, slim legs and neat oval paws. Soft coat has density and showing a silvery sheen. Faint markings to tail which tapers to end, could be a little longer. A little wriggley but of good nature. Best of Breed: I also had another 3 male and 3 females to consider, and finally awarded to: PHILLIPS IMP GR CH MELKELTER GALIYA GERTRUDA. She was presenting herself so well and was so relaxed, purring all the time. Very good overall type with very good prominence to whisker pads giving her excellent breadth to end of head. Good green colour to eyes of good expression and shape. A very nice girl. I believe I recently made her up to Imperial and she didn t fail to impress today either. Very close, but not quite showing to her best the lovely girl OSIMP GR CH KREMLINKATZ KATYA KALIKOVA. RUSSIAN WHITE/BLACK ADULT: BOB awarded to: CHERRY S GR CH BRIGHLITE INKI BLACK (RUS n) female. Good shape and set to ears with flattening to top of head between. Large green eyes with good width between. Good angle to profile with a slight contour, level chin. Mature, weighty body

2 LANCASHIRE CAT CLUB SHOW -2- MARIA CHAPMAN-BEER with slim legs and neat oval paws. Density to jet black coat which has a shine and coloured to roots. Tail tapers to end, just about long enough. A sweet, gentle natured girl. USUAL ABYSSSINIAN ADULT: 1CC & BOB LOCKWOOD S SYRINX QUEEN OF THE NIGHT female. Very pretty, alert girl interested in all around. Large ears are wide at base and well cupped, gentle rounding to top of head between. Large golden hazel eyes with a good expression, slight oriental slant with good width between. Slight nose break to profile, slight bump evident, chin is just a little set back, level bite. Slim, medium sized body of good weight and feel, long slim legs with a little black colour to lower hocks, and neat oval paws. Very well defined black ticking to warm golden brown coat, slightly darker spine line, good apricot colour to base. Lovely shine to close lying coat of very good texture. Tail tapers to end with a black tip, a little short in length. Good nature and in good condition. DEVON REX ADULT MALE: BOB not awarded. DALE S GR CH POOLSIDE PIRRIP REX (DRX 3e 32). Unfortunately this lad was extremely unhappy and it was not possible to judge him properly, he was very reluctant to leave his decorative bed. Flattening to top of head between medium sized ears which were wide at base and of good set. Oval eyes of good expression with good width between. Short wedge is wide at eye level, slight whisker break to muzzle. Profile looks to need more stop and a firmer chin, I was unable to check his bite. Very good coat which is well waved and looked to cover well. Tail has a slight area near base which lacked coat but was clean. RUSSIAN BLUE KITTEN FEMALE: 1 & BOB STARK S DUSHENKA WILHEMINA PINKLETINK (RUS a). A sweet lass who was alert and interested in all around. Flattening to top of head between large ears of good shape and set. Almond shaped green eyes, slightly straight in set, good width between. Angle to profile, slight contour to nose line, chin could be firmer, prominence to whisker pads. Slim body of good length and size, slim legs and neat oval paws. Coat has density and of good texture with a silvery sheen, a few faint tabby markings evident. Good shape and length to tail, some faint tabby markings. Enjoying her day. DEVON REX KITTEN MALE: 1 & BOB COX S REVERELF HUBLEY OR WRENEGADE (DRX e 33). Flattening to top of head between ears of good shape and set, wide at base, with tufts. Wedge is wide at eye level with oval eyes of good set. Profile shows a stop, slight bump to nose chin could be firmer, bite looks level. Good weight and feel to body with slim legs and oval paws. Density to coat which has waving, down on tummy. Tail well covered and waved. My goodness, this boy was not at all happy, I hope it was just today. 2. BURROWS DENDAW THIN WHITE DUKE (DRX n 22) male neuter. What a sweet nature this boy has. Very large ears have width to base but holding very high today, flattening to top of head between to develop. Large full shaped eyes are set well apart. Whisker break to slightly long muzzle. Stop could be stronger to profile, chin is shallow and set back, level bite. Slim body of good weight with slim legs and neat oval paws. Coat generally covers, waving developing. Lovely fine shape to tail which is long and well covered. A joy to handle. DEVON REX KITTEN FEMALE: 1. BURROWS DENDAW WHITE LLAMA CUDDLE (DRX n 33) female neuter. Delightful nature to this little pint pot. Large ears are wide at base, held rather high at present, flattening to top of head between to develop. Large fuller shaped eyes. Short wedge has a good muzzle, stop could be stronger in profile, level chin and bite. Slim body of good weight for size, long slim legs and neat oval paws. Coat covers, waving developing, down on tummy. Fine shape to tail, needing more length, well covered and waved. Handled well.

3 LANCASHIRE CAT CLUB SHOW -3- MARIA CHAPMAN-BEER RUSSIAN BLUE NEUTER: Four to consider for BOB (one absentee) and again a real teaser, finally awarded to: MCGLASHAN S IMP GR PR SHOELINA DIAMOND JUBILEE (RUS a) female. Good broad end to head with good prominence to whisker pads, slight contour to nose in profile, level chin. Mature lass with body of good length and size, slim legs and oval paws. Dense coat is soft and of mid blue colour showing a silvery sheen, just a little flat area near to base of tail. Tail of good shape and length, a few faint tabby markings. Lovely temperament and handled well. So very close was IMP GR CH & IMP GR PR DUSHENKA BELUCLA, looking lovely but only one prize to give, two lovely girls. Her coat showing a slightly larger dark area on lower spine where coat was flatter, was having to be so pickey. DEVON REX NEUTER MALE: BOB not awarded. MIURPHY S IMP GR PR KALTES KATHYS CLOWN (DRX bs). I am sorry not to award but his lower teeth appeared to be out of alignment to one side and he was not happy to have his mouth handled. DEVON REX NEUTER FEMALE: PC not awarded. 1. JONES AMUN PANDORAS-BOX (DRX hs 22). Large ears held rather high narrowing top of head, wide at base with tufts. Large rather bold shaped eyes. Wedge is wide at eye level, with a whisker break to muzzle. Profile shows a stop, chin could be deeper and firmer, untidy teeth. Slim body of good weight with slim legs and neat oval paws. Coat generally covers and has waves, but is changing and there are several patches where there is less density and is a bit sparse. Tail is well covered and waved. A sweet lass. A similar aged girl but still looking very much a kitten. Slightly large ears with gentle rounding to top of head between. Large chartreuse eyes set well. Blunt muzzle to medium wedge with a nose break to profile, level chin. Good weight and feel to body with slim legs and neat oval paws. Mid blue colour to coat which is fine and close lying. Tail has a blunt end and needs more length to balance. An alert lass interested in all around, her head needing to catch up with her body. Sweet girl. ORIENTAL TORTIE KITTEN: 1 & BOB CASSAR SIMMONDS FIORDILISO SATANIC VERSES (OSH f). A gentle girl who was very apprehensive, what a shame. Very large ears wide at base with very good width between.
