1 WEST OF SCOTLAND CAT CLUB SHOW SHOW REPORT MARY KALAL A very happy show with a great Christmas atmosphere which I thoroughly enjoyed in the good company of Margaret Mather, many thanks to Ian, Caroline and the Club for the kind invitation and excellent hospitality and I hope that the show is a great financial success. Many thanks also to Margaret for her excellent handling of the exhibits and sorting of the paperwork; we had some lovely cats and kittens to handle and I hope she enjoyed herself as much as I did and I look forward to the next time. AV FSH Grand Premier Neuter Male: 1 and IGP to McFALL GR PR PERSEPHONIES TEP (34) A tense cat who preferred his pen but we managed to persuade him to come out and be judged; firm semi-cobby body with legs and paws in proportion, tail tapered and balanced; large ears with rounded tips, wide at base and high set, heart shaped face with breadth across and between his eyes, curving to a rounded muzzle, good chin and level bite, slight stop to profile, eyes large, rounded and bright green colour with a typical expression. Coat short close and of silky texture, even blue colouring tipped with silver; AV FSH Grand Premier Neuter Female: 1 and IGP to McRAE/GABB GR PR DUSHENKA XARIABELLA (16a) A lovely female with an excellent expression, firm lithe body, fine legs with oval paws and long tapering tail; large narrow vertically set ears, balanced head with a flat skull, angle, slight concave curve to profile, puffed whisker pads, good chin and level bite; eyes of full almond shape and vivid emerald green colour. Excellent coat, short dense and of silky texture, even medium blue colour with a silvery sheen, excellent condition and beautifully AC Oriental Grand Champion Adult Male: IGC not awarded. 1 to HARVEY GR CH FIORDILISO CUBA (29) A shy male who preferred his pen but is basically good natured; long firm body, long fine legs and fine tail to balance; large well flared ears slightly low set, medium length wedge head, almost straight profile, chin rounds off slightly, bite level; eyes a little on the small side and slightly deep set, deep green colour. Long neck; coat short and close, colour sound but darkish, excellent shine and texture; I would happily give this cat a Grand certificate but did not think he was up to this high award. AC Oriental Grand Premier Neuter Male: 1 and IGP to DYKES GR PR MAZPAHS REBEL ROY (48b) A handsome male, elegant, stylish and deceptively heavy with a long firm well muscled body, long fine legs with small oval paws and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, even wedge head, almost straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of vivid green with an excellent expression. Long neck; coat short and close, silky
2 texture and of excellent shine to the dark chocolate patches, brilliant white on his face, legs and under-parts; AOV SLH Champion Male: 1 and GR PR to LAMONT CH CATTITUDE ILLUSION INBLU (66a) A handsome and well developed male with a firm muscular body, strong legs with large tufted paws and balanced bushy tail; ears medium and wide set, broad head, flat skull, dip in profile, full cheeks, rounded muzzle, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set and vivid sapphire blue colour. Coat silky and well developed with a full ruff and knickerbockers, well matched medium blue points and glacial body colour; excellent condition and well RESERVE to WRIGHT CH POWERKATZ HERO (64.41w) A big strong male with a long muscular body, strong legs and large tufted paws, tail balanced and profuse; ears large, tufted, furnished but slightly wide set, medium length head with a concave curve to profile, good chin and level bite; eyes large, oblique set and hazel green colour, dark rimmed. Coat full and double with an excellent ruff and breeches, brown classic tabby pattern patched with pristine white; excellent condition and beautifully AC Oriental Champion Adult Male: 1 and GR CH to HARVEY GR CH FIORDILISO CUBA (29). AC Oriental Champion Adult Female: 1 and GR CH to DEBOWSKA CH CHAPELROSE CINDERELLA (37) A lovely female with an excellent expression; long lithe body, long fine legs with small oval paws and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of excellent emerald green. Long neck; coat short, close and dense black; excellent shine and texture and beautifully AC Siamese/Balinese Champion Adult Female: 1 and GR CH to BROWN GR CH FISEPO THISLEWAY-AURORA (32t8) A beautiful young female with a firm lithe body, long fine legs with small oval paws and fine well ringed tail to balance; large ears well set and flared, medium length even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of lovely vivid blue with an excellent expression. Long neck; coat short and close showing caramel tortie-tabby markings on points and a clear body; excellent condition and beautifully RESERVE to TOSUN CH PALMIRA NERISSA (24b) A fine boned female with a long lithe body, long fine legs with small oval paws and fine balanced tail; large ears well set and flared, balanced wedge head with a small muzzle pinch, almost straight profile, chin rounds off slightly and bite scissored; oriental eyes of bright blue. Long neck; coat short and close with warm chocolate points and an ivory body colour showing slight shading in tone; AC Norwegian Forest Cat Adult Female:
3 1 CC and BOB to HENDERSON NORGESKAUKATT TIGRADOTTIR (67.31t) A pretty young female of good type and balance, ears large, tufted and high set, triangular head with a straight profile, chin rounds off slightly but bite level; eyes of oblique set and hazel colour with an excellent expression. Coat double with a fair ruff and full knickerbockers, showing a classic tabby pattern patched with white; AC Colour Pointed or Mitted Ragdoll Kitten, Female: 1 to GILLAN VONVARDA TYPSY (66w) A gorgeous young female of good weight for her age with a firm body, legs and tufted paws in proportion, tail balanced and bushy; ears medium, wide set and forward tilted, broad head, flat skull, dip and retrousse tip to profile, full cheeks, rounded muzzle, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set and deep vivid blue colour with an excellent expression. Silky coat, well developed with seal points, white spot on forehead, white chin, mittens, under-parts and back legs to her hocks; 2 to JOHSON HOLLYGRAM SUNNY CASCADE (66a) Another very pretty female of good type and balance with a large firm body, strong legs and tufted paws and balanced bushy tail; ears tufted, medium size and wide set, broad head, again an excellent profile with a retrousse tip, rounded muzzle, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set and vivid blue colour. Silky coat well developed with a very good ruff and knickerbockers, medium blue points with a clear glacial body colour, excellent condition and beautifully 3 to KINCART TUMBLERAG TWIRL (66a) A gorgeous baby, strong and well developed for her age with a firm body, strong legs with tufted paws and balanced bushy tail; ears medium, wide set and forward tilted, broad head, dip and retrousse tip to profile, full cheeks, rounded muzzle, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set and bright blue, but not quite the depth of colour of the previous two females. Coat silky and well developed with a full ruff and knickerbockers, soft pale blue points and a clear glacial body; excellent condition and presentation. AC Bi-Colour Ragdoll Kitten, Male: 1 and BOB to BRESLIN HOLLYGRAM FROSTYSLARSSON (66.31a) A handsome young male, strong and well boned with a firm muscular body, legs and tufted paws in proportion, tail balanced and bushy; ears medium, well furnished and wide set with a forward tilt, broad head, dip in profile, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set and bright but pale blue colour. Coat silky and well developed for age with a balanced inverted V on face, pale blue top of head and tail, white on paws, under-parts down to his hocks; excellent condition and well AC Bi-Colour Ragdoll Kitten, Female: 1 to BRESLIN HOLLYGRAM UPANDCOMING (66.31a) A well developed and strong young female with a beautifully presented coat, full and silky; firm muscular body, strong legs with tufted paws and balanced bushy tail; ears medium, tufted but held slightly high until she relaxed, balanced head with good width, dip in profile, full cheeks, rounded muzzle, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set and vivid blue colour. Coat well developed with a full ruff and knickerbockers, pale blue
4 top of head and tail, white legs and under-parts; excellent condition and beautifully 2 to SMITH VONVARDA LORBRITRUFFLE (66.31a) A pretty young female developing well with a firm body, strong legs and paws, long bushy tail; ears medium, wide set and forward tilted, balanced head with a dip in profile, cheeks developing, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set and vivid blue colour. Coat silky with ruff and knickerbockers starting to form, correct markings with a balanced inverted white V on face, white legs and under-parts, blue top of head, tail and on her back with white patching; 3 to SKILLING CATSROOL BELLE AMIE (66.31a) A pretty little baby just old enough to enter with a firm body, legs and paws in proportion, tail balanced and bushy; ears medium and wide set, broad head with a dip and slight retrousse tip to profile, rounded muzzle, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set and vivid blue. Coat developing, balanced white V on face, pale blue top of head and tail, white paws and under-parts; well Bengal Brown Marbled Adult Male: 1 CC and BOB to ROBERTSON/RICHARDSON MACENVI GALAXY SWIRL OF HUBBLEBUB (76.20) A strong and handsome male with a long firm well muscled body, strong legs and paws in proportion, tail slightly tapered and balanced; ears medium, rounded and well set, balanced head, curve to broad nose, puffed leather, broad muzzle with prominent whisker pads, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set, dark rimmed and green colour. Coat short and dense, excellent silky texture and showing a very striking marbled pattern in brown outlined in black on a warm buff base with lots of glitter, paler chin bib and under-parts; excellent condition and beautifully Russian Blue Neuter Male: 1 and PC to HETTMANN PR DUSHENKA STANISLAV (16a) A handsome long and elegant cat with a firm muscular body, legs and paws in proportion, long tapered tail to balance; large narrow vertically set ears, balanced head with a flat skull, angle, slight curve to profile, muzzle a little fine, good chin and level bite; full almond shaped eyes of clear green. Coat dense, silky and stands beautifully, clear even medium blue colour with a silvery shine; excellent condition and beautifully Russian Blue Neuter Female: 1 PC and BOB to MCRAE/GABB GR PR DUSHENKA XARIABELLA (16a). Usual Abyssinian Neuter Male: 1 PC and BOB to SMITHERS GLENDAVAN RED KITE (23) A charming cat, strong and well developed with a firm heavy body, legs and oval paws in proportion, tail tapered and balanced; ears large, tufted, wide at base and well set, balanced head showing gentle contours, break to profile, rounded muzzle with indentation, good chin and level bite; eyes of full almond shape and hazel colour, dark
5 rimmed, clear pigmentation markings on his face, some pale cream around his lips and chin. Short close coat with a distinctly Aby texture, very well ticked in black to a good depth with a rich apricot base, darker dorsal line and tail tip, full black heels; Sorrel Abyssinian Neuter Female: 1 PC and BOB to JOHNSON IGR CH & PR PONTABY FRAGOLA (23a) A female of very good type and lovely rich colouring; firm lithe body, legs and oval paws in proportion, tail tapered, balanced and slightly thick at base; ears large, lightly tufted and well set, balanced head with gentle contours, a break to profile, rounded muzzle with indentation, good chin and level bite; large eyes of full almond shape and gold colour, excellent expression. Coat short and close, showing very good ticking for her colouring on a bright apricot base, good pigmentation markings, darker tail tip; Bengal Brown Marbled Neuter Male: 1 PC and BOB to COULTER JACOU KINGSOFLEON (76.20) A strong cat, well boned and showing good balance with a long muscular body, strong legs with rounded paws in proportion, tail thick and even to balance; ears well set, rounded tips and medium size, balanced head, broad nose, puffed leather, good broad muzzle with prominent whisker pads, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set and green colour.
