LONDON CAT CLUB 18 th March 2017 Dr Bruce Bennett Many thanks to Kym and her colleagues for the invitation to participate in this highly enjoyable event in Woking, well attended and with a swing to proceedings. Thanks also to Kirsty Baxter who stepped up to steward and did so with panache. I look forward to our next meeting in April, Kirsty. I substituted for Mrs Brooks, who had to leave early, at the Best in Show event and was privileged to meet seven quality exhibits. My last four were a very handsome blue and white Norwegian, PR FORESTFRIEND VULCAN, with a militarily correct air to him, a very striking British Tipped, CH JERAZ LITTLESNOW BEAR, showing super masculine type as well as a dazzlingly sparkling coat, a very elegant and typy Tabby Pointed Siamese, PR ATARIQ ROYAL APPOINTMENT, with the closest and sleekest coat that I have seen for some time. These three fellows were all quite splendid and worthy of the award; all were adolescent and just short of mature presence. My choice fell on a fully mature and suavely delightful Tortie Burmese lady, I GR CH TRIBUNE HUFFLEPUFF, who in addition to looking delicious, flirted demurely and could not be denied. AC ORIENTAL PREMIER NEUTER MALE. GR PC to JONES PR SOULSTEALER KAMALI. MN. (OSH d 03) 1 yr 5 mth. A very diffident fellow who did not do himself justice outside his pen. However, he has a very pleasing equilateral wedge head with breadth at its top between large ears that came back into good alignment when he was back in his pen and subjected to a bit of TLC. There too, his eyes adopted a lovely oriental shape and incline. Straight profile, chin might be a little stronger, bite level. Lengthy slender body, balancing length of limbs and tail; has a sternal naughtiness but it does not appear to be fixed. Coat a little long but lies well. Bright reds with contrasting white, suitably distributed in sufficient quantity. RES GR PC to CAMPBELL S PR SARAMESE NICKEL N DIMES. MN. (OSH c) 1 yr 8 mth. Another striking gentleman with a lengthy, straight sided wedge sweeping upward into large ears that might be spaced just a little more to balance the length. Eyes marginally open, pale green. Proud, just arched profile, aligned chin that could be a little deeper, excellent even bite. Long,

firm body, matching limbs and tail. Very splendid close-lying silken coat of desired pinkish grey shade. AC SIAMESE/BALINESE CHAMPION ADULT. 1 GR CC Withheld. MORGAN S CH JOMESE SIAMAZING JEDI. M. (SIA n) 2 yr 5 mth. Rather a dainty boy with very elegant lines to his wedge head, spaced ears well set and of balancing size. Pleasing oriental shape to his eyes of good blue. Arched profile, muzzle rather shallow, chin aligned, peggety incisers meeting. Body neat though tummy curiously full and rounded for his size, reducing elegance, limbs and tail matching the body length. Coat a little open over the spine, lies well otherwise, dense seal points with shaded body showing sufficient contrast. MAINE COON SILVER TABBY SERIES ADULT. CC & BoB to MASKELL S KELFERRON BUBBLE-ROCK. F. (MCO fs 23) 9 mth 1 wk. Handsome lass, only just adult but well developed. Head well balanced length to breadth, with square outline to the muzzle beneath the cheek bones. Large oval amber eyes, set oblique; large ears, well spaced, tapering up to large tufts. Required shallow profile curve, deep muzzle, well aligned chin and level bite. Lengthy firm body, matching limbs, excellent long tail. Double coat well developed, topcoat softly sweeping down flanks, furnished tail, ruff and breeches developing. Beautiful soft tortie tabby patterning over the silver. MAINE COON RED TABBY SERIES ADULT. 1. CC Withheld. WHITMARSH S LEISHA BY KELFERRON. F. (MCO f 22) 2 yr 1 wk. Very splendid and strong lady with excellent head proportions length to breadth, square of muzzle with tall tapered, tufted ears, large amber eyes, set oblique with an imposing expression under beetling brows. Shallow profile curve, bit unfortunately slightly undershot. Large strong rectangular body, matching limbs and tail. Magnificently groomed tortie classic double coat. BoB. AGGETT S CH ISADORYOU MATILDA. F. (MCO f 03 22) 1 yr 3 mth. Pretty young lady, head proportions developing, muzzle marginally short as yet, ears tufted and set up, tapering. Pale green large eyes set oblique. Profile curve might be just a little clearer, muzzle shows depth, chin aligned bite meets. Body strong and well developed for her age, limbs and tail to match. Soft silken texturing to her double coat, breeches evident but little ruff as yet, striking bright tortie tabby and white patterning.

MAINE COON. SMOKE/SELF/SHADED ADULT MALE. Considered for BoB. STANTON S GR CH ISADORYOU HOLD URFIRE. M. (MCO ds 11) 1 yr 8 mth. Huge young man looking very strikingly handsome. Broad strong head, oblique set amber gold eyes, superior expression, ears spaced well, held up with tiny tufts. Shallow curve to his profile, excellent depth of muzzle strong chin, level bite. Powerful lengthy rectangular body, proportionate limbs and tail, large round tufted paws. Magnificent red silver shaded coat pattern, positively glowing, well furnished tail. MAINE COON SMOKE/SELF/SHADED ADULT FEMALE. BoB to CANNELL S GR CH COONBERRY DADDY S GIRL. F. (MCO ns 03) 4 yr 11 mth. Simply terrific mature lady with a super head length to breadth, attractive shallow profile curve, excellent square muzzle with depth to it and level bite. Ears tall and tapering ending in graceful droopy tufts. Proud large oval oblique set eyes of olive tone in the hall light. Huge strong oblong body of almost masculine proportions, with complementing length of limbs and tail. Wonderful double coat with full ruff and breeches, excellent texture, smoke and white pattern. Gosh! Also considered. ALLEN S GR CH EMPURRER MASQUERADE. F. (MCO fs 03) 5 yr 4 mth. Senior lady with a good broad head, squared muzzle evident, spaced ears with tufting at their tips, green eyes, large ovals set oblique, gently curved profile, deep rounded firm chin, level bite. Large body, a little portly now, strong limbs and tufted paws, proportionate tail. Double coat top layer just a little oily, tortie smoke and white pattern. AC RAGAMUFFIN ADULT FEMALE. CC to CANN S CH CHESHAM SUZIEQ. F. (RGM ds ) 10 mth 1 d. Handsome adolescent with a strong, broad head, well boned, broad cheeks, rounded muzzle with whisker pads conferring a benign affect. Neat ears spaced well on its top. Large, pale orange, walnut shaped eyes beneath slightly beetling brows, a well developed profile break from a rounded forehead, down to a straight muzzle, chin slopes away rather, incisors meeting. Body developing, presently a little chubby, sturdy limbs, balanced length of tail. Coat at present a ball of fluff, looking delicious, lovely red silver tabby and white. BoB POWELL & WELLS CH CHEHAM TRULY IRRESISTABLE. F. (RGM n 03) 4 yrs 6 mth. Splendid mature lady, broad cheeks to her well boned head, neat, widely spaced ears on its top, open light green eyes widely spaced, rounded

walnuts in shape. Clear break to her profile, well aligned chin of depth, level bite. Body lengthy and firmly muscled, wee fat pads there on lower tum, balancing strength of limbs and tail of length. Well developed dense coat of mid length with attractive ruff framing her face and full brush tail, dramatic black and white. MAINE COON. AC SMOKE/SELF/SHADED KITTEN. 1. BoB. ALLEN S EMPURRER CARNIVAL QUEEN. F. (MCO f 03) 8 mth 2 wk. Well grown girl with head of good length to breadth ratio, square muzzle might be just a little broader for preference, ears widely spaced, held up well with terminal tufts. Eyes rounded and open, oblique set, amber shade. Neat shallow profile curve, deep muzzle, aligned rounded chin, level bite. Well proportioned rectangular body. Matched limbs and tail. Double tortie and white coat with developed undercoat evident and with flow to the top layer, tail could be more fully furnished at present. 2. CANNELL S ALISKA PASCALI. F. (MCO es 03 11) 4 mth 2 wk. Neat little lass, head yet to broaden though muzzle squareness already evident, tapered internally furnished ears, spaced and held up. Striking orange eyes set on the oblique. Profile shows the required shallow curve, aligned chin, teething bite meets. Baby body, limbs and tail. Lovely cream silver shaded and white coat, still quite short, some guard hairs coming through. AC BI-COLOUR RAGDOLL KITTEN. 1 BoB. STRACEY S RAGADICT CHRISTINE S LEGACY. M. (RAG n 03) 4 mth 1 wk. Sweet baby with a neat head, nice top, flat between well set ears of mid size, rounded eyes of light blue, darker around the pupils. Profile shows a gentle dip from brow to a mid length straight muzzle, aligned chin and level teething bite. Neat little body, matched by limbs and tail. Bright whites on inverted V of mask, correct on limbs and understory. Quite a lot of white evident on the body, though the becoming pallor of the basic body shade, while it contrasts dramatically with the seal points makes it difficult at present to determine exactly how much white there actually is on the body. Time will make this clear no doubt. AC SIBERIAN KITTEN MALE. 1. PHILIPS MUSRAFY POLYARNY. M. (SIB n 03 24) 6 mth 1 wk. Youth with a reasonably well developed head though cheek bone development yet to become prominent as is desired, muzzle below rounded, curved whisker pads. Nice topline, ears a little large, well spaced and set, big oval eyes, green shade

round the pupils, alert expression. Profile curve rather shallow, aligned chin and level bite. Body firm and strong, well balanced sturdy limbs and tail. Excellent tabby and white coat, soft textured, undercoat denseness already developing. AC SIBERIAN KITTEN FEMALE. 1. BoB. FINCH S SNOWWITCH GOLDEN-RAINBOW. F. (SIB n 24) 7 mth 4 wk. This girl already shows breadth and strength to her cheek bones to complement the breadth of her head, rounded whisker pads and muzzle enhancing it all; nose of even width. Neat ears spaced widely on the crown. Eyes held a little lazily half shut, giving a mysterious expression. Defined profile curve from the brows to a deep muzzle with an aligned rounded chin and level bite. Substantial body with strength of limb and length of tail to match. Coat already shows pleasing density and resilience, with some ruff and tail furnishing already, blurred tabby pattern. AC RAGAMUFFIN KITTEN. 1. BoB WALTER S AMBERJACK SIOUXIE BANSHEE. F. (RGM n 03 21) 8 mth 1 wk. Well named, a total live wire outside the pen. Lovely broad head already, widely spaced ears set well, large walnut eyes brightly expressive. Profile break could be better defined, chin well forward, has depth to it, level bite. Body has strength, matched by limbs and tail, little fat pad evident already. Tabby and white coat has a velvety dense texture at present, attractive to the touch. FOREIGN WHITE ADULT. BoB. BAUERFEIND S I GR CH SNOWSEAL STARRGAYZER. M. (SIA w 67) 1 yr 8 mth. Elegant fellow, well balanced triangular head, flared ears well aligned, oriental eyes for shape and set, showing depth of blue. Profile angled at the brow, straight above and below, firm chin, incisors irregular but on average meeting. Lithe body with limbs and tail to match. Even coat of clear white, just a touch of tan in the gentlemanly region. ORIENTAL CLASSIC/MACKEREL TABBY ADULT. 1 CC Withheld. UNDERHILL-PRICE S OOPSEEIDEE HARLEQUIN. M. (OSH a 22) 11 mth 3 wk. Sweet little lass even sides to her wedge that could be a little broader at its top, ears set in line, oriental eyes of mid blue shade. Profile straight, aligned chin, bite a little over. Neat body, matched by limbs and tail.

Excellent short close lying coat texture, though blue tabby pattern blurred and indistinct at present. AV SLH ADULT. 1. BIKULCIUTE S CH KORNEY AREA LOVE. M. (SIB n 03 33) 2 yr 1 wk. Seal Pointed and White Siberian. Very large, powerful lad with a broadly boned head matched by commendable breadth of cheek bones as desired. Neat furnished ears spaced widely with an entrancing little curve back at their rounded tips. Large eyes, of good depth to their blue. Domed forehead, curves down to a straight muzzle, chin curves back a little, incisors level. Body substantial and solid, with strongly boned limbs and rounded paws, balanced length of tapering tail. Mid length double coat has good texture, developed undercoat conferring resilience under the hand. Seal pointed pattern showing the neatest little white wisp at the tip of the tail. 2. AZAM S ADPIXSL BLUE- OCEAN. M. (RAG a 04) 10 mth 2 wk. Blue Mitted Ragdoll. This youth shows good breadth to its boning, well developed cheeks already, with breadth to the rounded muzzle below. Mid sized ears well spaced on the flat top, tilted gently, rounded tips; eyes large ovals, just oblique, blue good in the Hall light. Profile shows just a shallow curve from bridge to nose tip, chin curves away a little, incisors level. Very well grown, strong body, proportionate limbs and matching tail. Another impressively developed young man, only ten months but his head already shows commendable boning, a short broad wedge with excellent strength to the broad cheek bone arch extending to the bases of the well spaced and aligned round tipped ears. Large oval eyes, full curve to lower lids, frowning gently below the brows. Profile shows a curve from the high brow to the straight short muzzle, chin slopes away a little and could be a little deeper ideally. Body lengthy and sturdy, matching strength of limbs and length of tail. Good double coat, classic and white pattern, with crisp resilience to its texture. 3. LACHLAN S PENDELSTAR YOKOTA SUNSET. F.
