1 Steve Crow Humberside C C& Lincolnshire C C Shows 29th July 2017 Many thanks to Penny and Beryl and the committees of both clubs for the invitation to judge again this year, I had a very relaxed and enjoyable day meeting some lovely cats. My thanks also go to Natalie Ilkiw, who stepped in to steward for me at short notice and proved to be a calm and efficient steward and very good company during the day. Humb - Original Foreign Grand Champion, Male: Three boys entered. GCC. STARK S CH DUSHENKA THEODORUS. Russian Blue. 26/6/2016. Very handsome young man, well developed for his age, looking distinctly masculine and showing very pleasing type. Long slender graceful body is of very good weight and feels firm, muscular and of good substance with strong underlying foreign boning, gently rounded chest and elegant slender well shaped legs ending in compact oval paws in proportion. Head shows short wedge with good breadth and strength to gently rounded muzzle and nice firm prominent whisker-pads. Large ears are broad at the base and of good shape, held almost completely vertical to his head and looking tall with pointed tips. Very good size to almond shaped eyes, which are pale medium green in colour and set wide apart and at a slight slant to give typical vodka expression. Forehead appears straight and forms slight angle above eyeridge with profile line to nose, slight dip at bridge of nose; chin is level and of fairly good depth. Fine double coat is short to medium in length, dense, soft and plush especially on upper back and around shoulders I could get my fingers into his coat which stands away from his body, coat lies a little flatter to the body on lower back and flanks. Shown in super condition and well presented. Medium to slightly dark blue grey colour is even in tone with good silvery sheen visible on head, ears, limbs, and around shoulders. Tail tapers evenly to finer tip and length balances, a few faint ghost rings near end. Very laid-back and relaxed, showed well and very good natured. Res GCC. CH SALADIN STARWIND. Usual Abyssinian. 20/7/2012. Mature handsome lad, elegant and of very pleasing type. Long slender body is lithe and nicely balanced, of very good weight and substance, feeling firm and muscular with straight back, gently rounded chest and slender well shaped elegant legs ending in compact oval paws in proportion. Head forms moderate wedge with gently rounded contours, good width to cheeks with indent below forming gently rounded muzzle of quite good breadth. Large broad based ears are of good shape, well cupped and spaced well apart, held pricked and alert when he is attentive. Large warm hazel yellow eyes are shaped like rounded almonds and set wide in an oriental setting to give typical expression. Gently rounded brow, slight break, very slight bump just visible on nose; chin is just level and of fairly good depth. Lovely short fine coat lies very close to the body, dense with good resilient texture evident, shown in superb condition and displaying a glossy shine. Well defined black ticking is evenly distributed over a warm ruddy apricot base, giving overall effect of golden brown ticked with black, dark spine-line and black tip to tail, clear of marks on chest and legs, very attractive facial markings with very pale cream on chin extending just

2 onto upper throat, also very pale cream around lips. Tail is thick at the base and tapers evenly to finer tip, length balances. Skittish and a little nervous out on the table, more relaxed in his pen and very good natured. Humb - Selkirk Rex Grand Premier, Female: One girl entered. GPC. THORNTON S PR NOONTIDE FIRESTARTER. LH Black Tortie Smoke. 13/7/2015. Attractive girl, mature, feminine and of very pleasing type. Balanced cobby body is more rectangular than square, of good weight and substance and feeling firm and muscular with solid boning, shoulders and rump and equally broad although she is just very slightly lean in the flanks at the moment, rounded chest, short thick neck and well-shaped sturdy legs of medium length ending in firm round paws in proportion with toe-tufts. Head is rounded and of good breadth, broader than it is deep with good width to rounded cheeks, muzzle is of medium breadth and well-padded whisker pads help to give a distinct rectangular impression, curly whiskers and eyebrows. Bite is level. Medium size ears are broad at the base and of good shape, spaced well apart and showing curly inner furnishings and tiny tufts at the tips. Large rich yellow eyes are round in shape, held full and well open and set wide apart to give typical expression. In profile has gentle curve to brow, good break; straight nose is short, broad and slopes downwards, whisker pads are visible beyond cheeks, chin is level and of fairly good depth and quite firm. Coat is of good uniform length, quite thick and dense considering the summer season, with gentle curl to hairs which stand away from the body along the sides and on flanks, hairs are straighter along a broad spine-line, tighter curls on lower flanks and across shoulders, texture is random and unstructured and feels soft and quite plush; tighter curls form good ruff around neck, tighter curls down chest and on underparts, good rexing on head, good curls down legs; tail is well covered with slightly curled hairs all the way around, forming quite a good plume. Shown in very good condition and well prepared. Tail is of good shape, thick and of medium length to balance. A little grumpy out on the table, but not difficult, more settled and contented back in her bed. Humb - Brown or Blue Tabby or Tabby & White Maine Coon Neuter: One boy entered, plus three boys to be considered for Best of Breed only. 1PC. BURGESS S GR CH KASSARO WASHINGTON. Brown Classic Tabby & White. 25/4/2015. Handsome boy, mature and of very good size, but needing to fill-out and bit more, showing very pleasing type. Long rectangular body is rather lean and slender, especially in the flanks, although of good weight for size and feeling firm and muscular with strong underlying boning, square rump and deep rounded chest, sturdy legs are of good shape ending in large round paws in proportion with snowshoes. Head is slightly longer than wide with good width to cheeks which are yet to fill-out fully, square muzzle is of good breadth and feels quite strong, but overall he is a little thin in the face. Large broad based ears are of good shape with pointed tips, well-spaced yet held correctly high to give alert stance, good inner furnishings and lynx-like tips. Large rich yellow eyes are full and round in shape, held well open and set wide apart and slightly obliquely to give typical expression.

3 Gentle concave curve in profile line to nose, chin is level and of good depth, feeling quite firm. Top coat is of acceptable length for the summer season, but needs to lengthen fully, especially down sides and flows as well as it can over minimal soft undercoat, slightly resilience texture just evident along back, small ruff frames face, some breeches, tail is quite well furnished but not yet bushy and profuse. Black Classic Tabby pattern is well defined and contrasts against a slightly cool-toned coppery agouti ground, clear butterfly motif across shoulders, clear oyster on each flank, three dorsal stripes along back are just a little blurred, barring on legs, M and scarab on forehead and very attractive facial markings; snow white chin, chest and under-parts and a short clean white sock on each of his four feet. Shown in very good condition and well prepared, displaying a glossy shine to his coat. Tail is of good shape and length reaches to shoulder-blades to balance nicely. Alert, very contented and friendly boy, he need to fill-out in the body to give him a more substantial and better balanced look overall. BOB to BURGESS S UK & OG IMP GR PR KASSARO CISCOKID. Brown Classic Tabby & White. 14/5/2009. Very handsome boy, mature and distinctly masculine, looking well balanced, finished and of good type and such a character. Long body is rectangular in form, of very good size, heavy and of very good substance and feeling firm and muscular with strong underlying bone-structure, square rump, deep rounded chest and well-shaped sturdy legs ending in large round paws in proportion with snowshoes. Head is slightly longer than wide with good width to high cheek-bones which are well filled and rounded, square muzzle is of good breadth and feels strong; long elegant whiskers and eye-brows. Medium large broad based ears are of good shape with pointed tips, good space between yet held correctly high and tall, good inner furnishings and lynxtips. Large lustrous warm yellow eyes are full and round in shape when he is fully attentive, set wide apart and slightly obliquely to give typical grumpy expression. In profile shows good depth to skull with, slightly rounded brow and gentle concave curve in profile line to nose, chin is level and of good depth and quite firm, bite is slightly untidy. Very good length to top coat which has a distinct resilient water-proof texture and flows over a soft dense woolly undercoat, full ruff and shirt-front, breeches and some belly fur, well- furnished tail is quite profuse. Coat is all the more impressive considering the warm summer season, very well prepared and beautifully present in superb condition and displaying a glossy shine. Defined Black Classic Pattern contrasts against a warm coppery toned agouti ground, showing clear butterfly motif across shoulders, slightly blurred oysters, triple stripes along spine are a little blurred and indistinct in places; pristine white chin, chest, underparts and short white socks on feet. Tail tapers evenly to rounded tip and length reaches to shoulder-blades to balance. Very confident, contented and friendly boy, majestic with impeccable manners and a good example of the breed. Humb - Sorrel Abyssinian Adult: Two girls entered. 1CC & BOB. LINCOLN S ABYCHAT GIRL FROM IPANEMA. 16/9/2016. A very attractive young lady, well developed and looking mature for ten and a half months old, feminine and showing very pleasing type. Slender lithe body is balanced and of good substance, feeling

4 firm and muscular with gently rounded chest and slender elegant, well-shaped legs end in neat oval paws in proportion. Head forms moderate wedge with gently rounded contours, good width to cheeks with indent below forming slightly rounded muzzle of good breadth and strength, overall she has a slightly adolescent appearance, but this is only to be expected. Large broad based ears are of good shape, well cupped and spaced well apart, held pricked to give alert stance. Lovely large warm hazel yellow eyes are shaped like rounded almonds and set wide apart in an oriental setting to give typical expression. In profile has slight curve to brow, gentle break, straight nose, chin is just level and of fairly good depth. Coat is fine, dense and closely-lying with good resilient texture already evident along her back, in superb condition with a glossy shine. Well-defined ticking in warm rich chocolate is evenly distributed over a warm rich bright apricot base, good depth to ticking with darker spine line and chocolate tip to tail, legs are clear of marks, faint well-broken necklace, very attractive facial marking with pale cream on chin extending onto upper throat, also some very pale cream around lips. Tail is thick at the base and tapers evenly to finer tip, length just balances. Delightful temperament, lively, playful and affectionate. 2. WHITWORTH S ABYDREAMES PACHA. 26/10/2016. Pretty girl, just adult and looking distinctly adolescent at present, developing nicely and of pleasing type. Slender lithe body is a touch lean, but of good weight and feeling firm and well-muscled with gently rounded chest and elegant well-shaped slender legs ending in neat oval paws in proportion. Head forms moderate wedge with gently rounded contours, good width across cheeks and quite good breadth to gently rounded muzzle, although showing a very slight muzzle pinch today and overall a little thin in the face. Large broad based ears are of good shape, well cupped and spaced wide apart to continue the lines of her face, held pricked when alert and appearing just slightly too large for her and tending to dominate her head a little at present. Expressive large rich golden yellow eyes are shaped like rounded almonds and set wide in an oriental setting. Slight curve to brow, gentle break, nose leather falls away at tip on nose, chin is level and of fairly good depth. Fine coat is of medium length, a touch long on the back, but lies close to the body and is quite dense, texture is a little soft and yet to develop resilience. In very good condition and displaying a glossy shine. Defined ticking in rich chocolate is evenly distributed over a rich bright apricot base, legs are clear of markings, very faint well-broken necklace, dark spine line and chocolate tip to tail; attractive facial markings, chin is very pale cream in colour with cream extending onto upper throat and around lips. Tail is thick at the base and tapers evenly to finer tip, length is just a fraction short to balance. Very affectionate and full of purrs a happy and demanding girl. Humb - Blue Abyssinian Adult: One girl entered, plus one girl to be considered for Best of Breed only. 1CC. EAGLAND S ABYCHAT BUBBLES AND BLUE. 8/5/2016. Attractive young lady looking mature and well developed at fourteen months old and showing very pleasing type. Long slender elegant body is of good size and very good weight, feeling firm, lithe and muscular, very slightly lean in the flanks, gently rounded chest and elegant, well-shaped limbs ending in neat oval feet in proportion.

5 Head forms moderate wedge with gently rounded contours, good width to cheeks with indent below forming gently rounded muzzle of quite good breadth. Large broad based ears are well cupped and of good shape, spaced well apart and held pricked and alert. Large rounded almond shaped eyes are a rich golden yellow in colour, set wide in an oriental setting to give very pleasing expression. Gentle curve to brow, slight break, straight nose and level chin of fairly good depth. Short to medium length to coat which is very close lying, dense with resilient texture evident along her back, in super condition and displaying a glossy shine. Blue grey ticking is defined and evenly distributed over a warm oatmeal base, ticking is subtle but clearly visible on close inspection, richer warm slightly pinkish mushroom tone on face, chest, legs and underparts, dark spine line and blue tip to tail; legs are clear of marks, smudged and broken necklace, very attractive facial markings. Tail is thick at the base and tapers evenly to the tip, length balances nicely. Playful, very lively and affectionate. BOB to EAMES S ABYDREAMES SPECSAPPEAL. 22/2/2015. Mature and very attractive lady, nicely finished, feminine and showing good overall type. Long slenderish body is of very good size and just in balance as she has gained a good deal of weight since I last saw her and is tending towards very slight plumpness, of very good weight and substance, feeling firm and muscular with gently rounded chest and elegant slender well-shaped legs ending in neat oval paws in proportion. Head forms balanced moderate wedge with gently rounded contours, good width to cheeks with indent below forming slightly rounded muzzle of good breadth and strength. Large broad based ears are well cupped and of good shape, spaced well apart to continue the lines of her face and held pricked to give typical alert stance. Lovely large rich golden yellow eyes are shaped like rounded almonds and set wide apart in an oriental setting to give typical expression. In profile has good depth to skull with gentle curve to brow, slight break, straight nose, chin is level and of quite good depth. Very close lying coat is fine and dense with good resilient texture evident along her back, shown in superb condition and displaying a gleaming shine. Defined blue grey ticking is evenly distributed over a warm pale mushroom base on her body, warmer richer pinkish mushroom tone to her face, chest, legs and underparts, good depth to ticking on close inspection with darker spine line, good blue colour up hocks and dark blue tip to tail, clear of marks on legs and the merest hint of a well broken necklace on chest, very attractive facial marking and pale cream colour on chin. Tail is thick at the base and tapers evenly to finer tip, length just about balances fully body. Calm, contented girl, confident and a pleasure to handle lovely head-type. Humb - Blue Abyssinian Kitten, Male: One boy entered. 1 & BOB. LINCOLN S LINCZOZO PAS DE CHAT. 13/1/2017. Handsome young man, developing well and of pleasing type, of very good size for six and a half months and of good weight for size. Long slender body is firm, lithe and muscular, of good substance with striaght back, gently rounded chest and slender well shaped elegant legs ending in compact oval paws in proportion. Head shows moderate wedge with good width to cheeks, indent below forms gently rounded muzzle which has sufficient breadth, but I d like a

6 little more breadth and strength here for perfection. Large well cupped ears are of good shape and spaced well apart, held pricked and alert when he is settled and attentive; he can hold them just a little to high at times when excited. Large expressive rich hazel yellow eyes are shaped like rounded almonds and set wide in an oriental setting. Gentle curve to brow, very slight break, slightly Roman shape to nose, chin falls back a touch and is of reasonably good depth. Fine coat is short to medium in length and very close-lying, good density and well developed for his age, smooth in texture with resilience yet to come in, in super condition with a glossy shine. Defined blue-grey ticking is evenly distributed over a very pale mushroom ground, warmer tone to mushroom colour on face, chest, legs and underparts, darker spine line and blue tip to tail, legs and chest are clear of marks; attractive facial markings and pale cream chin. Tail is thick at the base and tapers to finer tip, length balances nicely. Very friendly and playful, a confident youngster. Humb - Blue Abyssinian Kitten, Female: One girl entered. 1. EVANS S KOPERKAT LUCCA QUINN. 10/4/2017. A very pretty baby girl of quite good size and weight for three and a half months, very feminine and of very pleasing type. Slender elegant body is firm, lithe and well muscled, of very good substance with gently rounded chest and elegant well shaped legs ending in neat oval paws in proportion. Head forms balanced moderate wedge with good width to cheeks, indent below forms gently rounded muzzle of good breadth and strength. Large broad based ears are well cupped and of good shape, spaced well apart and held pricked and alert. Large rich amber yellow eyes are shaped like rounded almonds and set wide in an oriental setting giving typical expression. Gently rounded brow, slight break, straight nose; chin is just level and of fairly good depth. Coat is fine, closelying and quite dense, mature for such a young kitten and feeling smooth with just a touch of resilience already, in super condition with a gleaming shine. Even ticking in medium blue grey is evenly distributed over a very pale mushroom base, ticking is subtle but clearly visible, darker spine line and blue tip to tail, clear of marks on legs and chest, very attractive facial markings, pale cream on chin extends onto upper throat, unfortunately she also has a small cluster of very pale cream (possibly white) hairs on her upper chest. Tail is thick at the base and tapers evenly to finer tip, length just balances. Very affectionate girl, playful and demanding of attention. Such a pity about the cluster of pale hairs on her chest, which I did examine closely but could not ignore otherwise she would have been awarded BOB. Linc - Selkirk Rex Neuter: Two girls to be considered for Best of Breed only. BOB to HIGAB S IMP GR PR ACOZNI FAIRY FLOSS. LH Blue Tortie. 23/7/2014. A very attractive girl, mature, stylish and nicely finished and showing good overall type. Well balanced cobby body is of good size, more rectangular than square and of very good weight and good substance, feeling firm and muscular with strong underlying boning, back is level with equal breadth to shoulders and rump, chest is broad and gently rounded, short thick neck and sturdy well-shaped legs of medium length ending in firm round paws in proportion with toe-tufts. Head has rounded skull,

7 broader than it is deep with good width to rounded cheeks, which are well filled, muzzle is of medium breadth with firm, prominent well-padded whisker-pads giving a distinctly rectangular impression, pads are clearly visible beyond her cheeks when viewed in profile; crinkled whiskers and eye-brows, bite is untidy but acceptable. Medium size ears are broad at the base and of good shape, spaced well apart with curly inner furnishings and tiny tufts at rounded tips. Lovely large warm yellow eyes are full and round in shape, held well open and set wide apart to give typical expression. Gentle curve to brow, good break, short broad nose is straight with a slight downward slope, chin is level and of quite good depth and feels quite firm. Coat is plentiful and of very good uniform length, dense, especially considering the Summer season with very gentle curl to hairs along the sides and flanks which stand away from the body and form random curls, texture is unstructured and feels soft and plush, hairs along spine-line are almost straight, good tight curls to full ruff around neck, tight curls to hair down chest, on underparts and also on back of her neck and lower flanks, good rexing on head, gentle curls to hairs all the way down legs and on paws with curly toe-tufts, slight curl to hairs on tail, which cover quite well all around and form a small plume. Shown in superb condition, well prepared and presented. Tail is of good shape and of medium length to balance. A slightly grumpy girl when out on the table, relaxed and much more contented when back in her bed. A stylish exhibit and a good example of the breed. Linc - Egyptian Mau Neuter: One girl entered. 1. PC withheld. WHITE S RIVERSONG MARTHA. Silver. 17/8/2016. Attractive girl, looking mature for eleven months old and pleasing type. Long slender body is well-filled and of very good weight and substance, feeling firm and muscular with level back, gently rounded chest and slender elegant shapely legs ending in neat rounded paws in proportion. Head shows medium wedge with slightly rounded contours, good width to cheeks, muzzle is of quite good breadth and nose is of uniform width. Medium large broad based ears are of good shape, spaced well apart and cupped slightly forward when she is settled. Large expressive eyes are shaped like rounded almonds and set wide apart under straight brows, colour is very warm gooseberry green with a slight amber cast at present. Very gentle curve to brow, slight dip in profile line to nose, chin is level and of fairly good depth. Coat is fine and of medium length, close-lying with good density and distinct resilient texture along her back, shown in very good condition with a healthy sheen. Pattern of plentiful dark charcoal grey spots is evenly distributed and contrasts well against fairly silver agouti ground, spine line is broken, double necklace is broken, bars and spots on legs and broken rings on tail, M and complex scarab on forehead and attractive facial markings, unfortunately she has distinct tarnishing on her muzzle and extending up onto her upper cheeks and around her eyes, tarnishing also down both forelegs and on fore and hind paws. Tail tapers slightly to finer rounded tip and length just balances. Very nervous girl, skittish out on the table, although a little more relaxed back in her pen, good natured. Sorry to withhold, but she has too much tarnishing visible for me to award the PC certificate

8 Linc - Asian Smoke or Burmilla Adult: One girl to be considered for Best of Breed only. BOB to RICHARDS S CH CARNABY DAWNERYS. Chocolate Silver Shaded with BCR. 16/3/2016. A very attractive young lady, looking mature for her age and distinctly feminine, showing very pleasing type. Balanced slender body is of very good weight and substance, feeling firm, lithe and muscular with straight back, gently rounded chest and slender elegant well-shaped legs ending in neat oval feet in proportion. Head forms short wide wedge, blunt in the muzzle with slightly rounded top between well-spaced medium large broad based ears of good shape. Lovely large lustrous chartreuse yellow eyes are of very good shape and set wide apart to give typical glowering expression. Slight curve to brow, very good break, short straight nose, chin is level and of fairly good depth. Coat is quite short, fine and close-lying with a smooth satin-like texture and in beautiful condition, displaying a gleaming shine. Pattern forms a mantle of medium intensity in rich warm milk chocolate over a pale beige ground, shading is uneven with a large number of ticked hairs visible on her back and particularly along her sides, which makes me question whether she is in fact a ticked rather than shaded pattern. A few short narrow inner leg-bars, very faint well broken necklace, M and skullcap on forehead, attractive pencilling on cheeks and mascara effect to eyes with light spectacles surrounding them. Tail is of good shape, tapering evenly to paintbrush tip, length balances nicely. Very sweet natured girl who showed herself to advantage. I have given her the benefit of any doubt with regard to her pattern, she is such lovely type and with a super coat texture so I felt she deserved the BOB today. Linc - Australian Mist Neuter: One girl entered. 1PC & BOB. NEWTON S HILDREK DREAM SEEKA. Chocolate Spotted. 18/10/2014. Mature attractive lass of good size and weight, of very pleasing type and looking finished. Well-filled slender body is balanced, feeling firm, lithe and muscular with straight back, gently rounded chest and slender well-shaped legs ending in neat oval paws in proportion. Head forms balanced moderate wedge with good width to rounded cheeks and good breadth and strength to blunt muzzle with firm well-developed whisker-pads and nose of uniform width. Medium large broad based ears are of good shape and spaced well apart. Large lustrous pale chartreuse yellow eyes are of very good shape and are set wide apart to give typical expression. Gentle curve to brow, good concave dip in profile line, slight bump gives Roman shape to nose, chin is level and of fairly good depth. Fine coat is dense and lies very close to the body, good resilient texture to coat and shown in super condition with a gleaming shine. Pattern of warm rich medium milk chocolate spots a visible against a warm pale beige ground, distinct misted effect with edges of the spots merging into the agouti ground, double necklace, one unbroken, narrow bars on legs and rings along tail; M and complex scarab on forehead, attractive facial markings. Tail tapers to a slightly fine tip, length just balances. Unhappy out of her pen and swore to show her displeasure, more settled and contented when back in her bed and good natured there.
