BUCKS, OXEN & BERKS CAT SOCIETY SHOW REPORT FROM ALISON LYALL. Many thanks to Sally for the invitation and to Wayne Baxter for giving up his Easter Saturday at such short notice it would be difficult to find a better steward. It was a busy day with a buzzy holiday atmosphere. IMPERIAL CLASS AV SLH GR PR NEUTER FEMALE. IMP.PARKER S GR PR FILENSIO TALLULAH ROSE RGM n FN A brown classic tabby and white bi-colour RagaMuffin who was very balanced and extremely hefty. Her head was very broad with rounded contours, well developed cheeks and puffy whisker pads giving her a lovely gentle expression. Her large gold eyes were well shaped and wide set, the bite was level and she had a broad nose with a beautiful profile and a good nose break. The rectangular torso was very weighty with heavily boned medium legs and large round tufted paws and the tail was well furnished and in proportion to the body. The medium length coat was superbly presented with an imminent ruff, a lovely gloss to the top and was soft and dense in texture with an beautifully defined classic pattern. She was a little shy and happier in her pen where she was most interactive and sweet. RES IMP. SIMPSON S GR PR BARNJEMMS CINNAMON RGM ns FN A heavyweight brown smoke RagaMuffin with darker points who really couldn t be bothered today. Her generous broad head, with full cheeks and a rounded muzzle, was rather diminished today by her insistence on flattening her whisker pads, the very part that needed to be puffy to give the characteristic gentle sweet expression of her breed. Her pale greenish blue eyes were large and well spaced and she had a pleasing profile line which flowed over the top of the head, showed an obvious nose break and was straight at the tip. Her body was broad and rectangular and extremely hefty with a short strong neck and was well covered with a fleshy pad between the back legs, limbs were medium in length and heavily boned and the well furnished tail was of length to balance. The luxuriant coat was beautifully presented with a gleaming top and soft and dense in texture with the appearance of a ruff framing the head. GRAND CLASS AOV SLH PREMIER NEUTER MALE. GPC.PARKER S PR. FILENSIO THE WIZARD OF OZ RGM as MN At eleven and a half months and the youngest in this class, this blue silver tabby and white Burmese pointed RagaMuffin boy
was a real glamour puss and I thought his type and sweet and gentle expression was exceptional. His head was broad with generous rounded contours showing full cheeks, puffy whisker pads and a full chin with a level bite. His large gold eyes were set wide and his profile showed a defined nose break and was straight to the tip. His body was long and weighty, medium limbs were heavily boned with large round tufted paws and he had a long tapering well furnished tail. His coat was soft and dense in texture and beautifully presented with longer hair forming a ruff around the head and thick knickerbockers. A very promising young man. RES GPC. BUTLER S PR YAHESKA PANTHERIA MCO n MN A solid black Maine Coon in his prime who was superbly presented and was a pleasure to handle. He had such a handsome head with his large ears set wide and held erect with pointed tufts at the tips accentuating their height, broad high cheek bones and a lovely strong square muzzle with a level bite and broad strong chin to fill the base of the square. Large gold eyes were set wide and slightly oblique with a sweet interested expression and the nose showed a slight concave curve at the bridge. His body was muscular and strong and rectangular in shape with a good square rump, limbs were thickly boned, paws large and tufted and he had a long sweep of flowing tail. His glossy coat was profuse with a generous frontal ruff falling from behind the ears, flow to the top coat and fluffy breeches. Unfortunately, the black fur was marred by a rusty tinge to the top throughout the coat which is the only reason he missed the certificate. Also considered for the certificate were: WILLIAMS PR MABALAKAT BETTER CALL SAUL MCO n MN A well presented brown classic tabby and white Maine Coon with a glossy coat. Good skull conformation with broad high cheek bones and square muzzle. His very large ears with long tufts tend to splay to the sides, his large green eyes have a very oblique aperture and the broad nose has the correct profile. Substantial strong rectangular torso with impressive boning to the limbs, very large tufted feet and a lovely length of tail. SIMPSON S FILENSIO KISMET KAT RGM ns MN An alert and interested young RagaMuffin boy, brown silver tabby and white with darker points. He had a broad rounded skull with quite a short nose showing minimal nose break, well spaced medium ears and large ice blue eyes that were walnut shaped. The whisker pads needed a little more development but the bite was level, chin firm and the muzzle nicely rounded. The soft luxurious coat was well presented and he had a hefty body and proportionately well boned medium legs and balanced bushy tail.
GRAND CLASS AOV SLH PREMIER FEMALE. GPC.COX S COONARIA SPICE OF LIFE MCO f FN A most striking tortie and white Maine Coon who was very well developed for her age. She had very good skull conformation with her large ears with pointed tufts held erect, nicely spaced and wide at the base. Her cheek bones were high and broad and she has a square muzzle with a level bite and a deep, slightly narrow chin. The large eyes were round with a slight oblique aperture and set wide and her profile was good with a slight concave curve at the bridge of the nose. Her torso was muscular and strong and almost rectangular in shape with heavily boned long limbs, large tufted paws and a lovely long plume of tail. Her coat was beautifully prepared for the show with a glossy harsher top coat and a generous frontal ruff. A lovely cat. RES GPC.PARKER S PR.FILENSIO DEMELZA ALIS RGM a FN A nice blue tabby and white RagaMuffin lass with darker points, looking a bit a transitional today. Her head was broad with rounded contours, full cheeks, reasonable puffiness to the whisker pads and a level bite. Her large walnut shaped eyes has a pleasing alert expression and were two tone greenish aquamarine in colour and the profile line was good with an obvious nose break. The body was a little long and lean and rather adolescent looking, of reasonable weight but with a fat pad between the back legs yet to develop. Her medium length legs were well boned with large tufted paws and her bushy tail was of length just to balance. Her well presented coat was full and dense although felt a little coarse in the lower spine area. A sweet natured cat who needed a little more development. BLUE POINT BIRMAN ADULT MALE. BOB.GARDINOR S GR CH SUCETTE WANDRIN STAR SBI a M A beautifully presented and obviously greatly loved entire boy in his prime. His head was broad and rounded with well spaced medium ears and full cheeks and well developed muzzle with a level bite and slightly sloping chin. His deep blue eyes were almost round and had such a wonderful trusting, loving expression and his nose showed a slight dip at the bridge and a Roman profile. His long body had excellent substance, medium limbs were thickly boned and his bushy tail balanced. The white gloves were symmetrically scalloped to mid level and the left gauntlet tapered to a point just below the hock while the right was a little shorter with a blunt end. The long silky coat was beautifully presented, a little shady to the top but bluish white below and with a full ruff framing his head. A delight to judge! BLUE POINT BIRMAN ADULT FEMALE.
1 ST (CC N/A) PORTER S ELMORE LADY GALADRIEL SBI a F An attractive young female with good substance for her age. Her head was strong and rounded with the ears still a little dominant and yet to settle, full round cheeks and muzzle needing just a little more breadth at present with a level bite and firm chin. Her deep sapphire eyes were almost round and the medium nose had a slight dip at the bridge. Her long body was hefty and strong, medium length limbs were well boned with short strong paws and her bushy tail balanced her body. The white gloves were symmetrical but unfortunately there was a long runner reaching well beyond the stopper pad on the left front foot which is why I was unable to award the certificate. The socks were level and the long broad gauntlets reached a level point just below the hocks. Nicely presented coat of lovely silken texture. Considered for BOB: COUPLAND & BROWN S CH BROFIELD FORGET ME NOT SBI a F A well presented female who was not in the best of tempers today and made it very clear she did not wish to be handled so our acquaintance was brief to say the least. Rounded skull with very erect ears, full cheeks and slightly narrow muzzle. Slight dip at the bridge of the nose and Roman profile. Right glove scooped, left full and well matched gauntlets. GARDINOR S CH KITTAH ATAKAD HEBE SBI a F A very pretty female of good Birman type who felt a little light. Nice rounded head conformation with well spaced medium ears, well developed cheeks and muzzle and slightly sloping chin. Beautiful almost round deep forget-me-not blue eyes with the sweetest expression. Body of good length, reasonable bone and balanced bushy tail. Beautiful long silken coat expertly presented and symmetrical white gloves and long matching gauntlets. AC SMOKE, SELF OR SHADED MAINE COON ADULT. BOB.CANNELL S GR CH MABALAKAT MENEMSHA BEY MCO f 03 F A stunning tortie bi-colour with the most dramatic markings. The large ears were tufted at the tips and held erect, cheek bones were high and broad and she had a beautifully defined square muzzle. Her strong body was fully rectangular with a square rump, her legs heavily boned and her tail long and flowing. Very full coat with a glossy top, attractive mingling of the colours and a profuse white frontal ruff. BLUE POINT BIRMAN KITTEN. 1 ST & BOB.FLUCK OFFORD S LUXDON SNAPDRAGON SBI a M A confident chunky kitten. He had a good strong rounded head
with full cheeks and a lovely broad well developed muzzle with a level bite and a firm chin. His ears were still a little dominant and yet to settle and his eyes were almost round, a nice strong cobalt blue in colour and with a lovely alert expression. The medium nose had a slight dip at the bridge, a clear profile and slate blue nose leather. He had an impressive torso, long and substantial with appropriate heavy boned medium limbs and strong paws although he had rather outgrown his tail which was bushy and a little short for ideal balance. His coat was well presented and of promising silky texture. The white gloves were symmetrical and he had long well matched gauntlets. All in all, a most promising young lad with an endearing and affectionate temperament. AC BI-COLOUR RAGDOLL NEUTER.(Both for BOB only) BOB.TODD S GR PR LOKITTI MYHEARTBREAKER RAG a 03 MN A lovely large blue bi-colour with a most endearing open expression in his well shaped large blue eyes. Strong head showing gently rounded contours and a flat plane between the medium forward tilting ears which were rather buried in his enormous mane and a lovely nose with a gentle dip at the bridge and a retrousse profile. He had impressive bone and great substance and a full soft dense coat with a well balanced inverted V, a lovely white chin (quite a rarity these days in the blues, both bi-colour and mitted) and white throughout underneath to body level at the back legs. Also considered for BOB: THORPE S IGP RAGSHAVEN TAGARYEN RAG n 03 MN A very strong and gentle seal bi-colour lad who was most substantial. Broad head with a flat plane between forward tilting ears and well developed cheeks and gently rounded muzzle. Large pale forget-me-not blue eyes set wide and with a slight oblique aperture. Excellent long and extremely heavily muscular torso with very thickly boned limbs and a long tail which was a bit sparsely furnished today. Otherwise, he had a profuse well groomed coat with a lavish ruff and knickerbockers, a good inverted V and white to body level at the rear. MISCELLANEOUS CLASSES. AV SLH BREEDER S ADULT. 1 ST.CANNELL S MABALAKAT ALL THAT JAZZ MCO f F Only just an adult, this pretty tortie tabby and white Maine Coon was a real glamour puss and of lovely type. Her large tall ears were tufted at the tips, well furnished and held erect and were well supported by her high broad cheek bones. Expressive large round gold eyes were set wide with a slight oblique aperture and her broad, rather flat nose showed a slight concave curve at the bridge, a clear profile and the suggestion of a roll over at the tip. Defined square muzzle with a strong chin and a level
bite. Strong long substantial body, very well boned long limbs with large tufted paws and a long flowing tail. Beautiful coat gleaming with health and glowing colour. 2 ND.WILSON S MYPAWS JUST JACKSON RAG n M A most impressive and masculine looking seal tabby mitted Ragdoll who never stopped purring. The head was broad with gently rounded contours and very good cheek and muzzle development. The ears, which looked fractionally small, were well separated by a flat plane and had a distinct forward tilt and the large deep blue eyes were set wide and slightly oblique with the correct slightly fuller lower line. The medium nose had a gentle dip at the bridge and a slight retrousse profile, the bite was level and the chin full. His body was long and muscular with a short strong neck, limbs were thickly boned and his tail was long and bushy. His very full coat was beautifully presented with a profuse frontal ruff and his pattern conformed to the standard with the white reaching from his chin through the underbody to above the hocks at the rear. A lovely confident male. 3 RD.ADAMS CH RAGADEE AMETRINE RAG c F Shy and very feminine lilac colourpointed Ragdoll female with a beautifully presented full coat and a lovely expression in her large deep blue eyes. The ears are well separated by a flat plane and the broad head shows gentle rounded contours to broad cheeks and a well developed muzzle with a level bite and a slightly narrow chin. Good substance to the long body with well boned limbs and a long bushy tail. Full ruff and knickerbockers. AV SLH NON-BREEDERS KITTEN. 1 ST.
