If yu have a specific gal f lsing weight r maintaining weight, yu will likely rely n yur scale. It can als be a great way t stay accuntable t yurself. If yu chse t use the scale t help stay n the right track, yu shuld be aware f these tw things: 11. Yur weight fluctuates thrughut the day, and thrughut the week. Weigh yurself at a similar time and day and under similar circumstances, in rder t have a mre accurate cmparisn. 12. Changes in yur diet and exercise rutine can cause unexpected changes in yur weight. Fr example, if yu are building muscle yu will

3 likely experience an increase in weight as muscle weighs mre than fat. Checking the scale t frequently can lead t frustratin if the numbers aren t changing the way yu d like. Remember that weight is nly ne measure f prgress. Just because yu dn t experience a change in weight desn t mean yu aren t making prgress. Other indicatrs f prgress are: 13. Yur clthes fit better. 14. Yu have mre energy. 15. Yu sleep better. 16. Yur md has imprved. I use the scale as an accuntability tl. When I feel like I am fcused and my wellness prgram is ging well, I rarely check the scale. Hwever, when I knw that my eating habits have gtten away frm me a bit, I make it a pint t use the scale mre regularly. Befre I step n, I usually knw what t expect but seeing that number usually mtivates me t get back n track. If yu chse t use the scale, develp a psitive relatinship with it. Remember that it is just ne indicatr f health. Fitness equipment update: Cana Hills will be receiving tw new treadmills in the cming weeks. They will replace the Paramunt treadmills that are currently in use. Replacement parts fr the Paramunt units are n lnger available.
