Rles and duties f the JLA Cmmittee may be fund in the Fair Bard Directrs Handbk in the Clark Cunty Fair ffice. Weight and Grading Requirements: T guarantee desired market quality, weight and grade requirements fr each species are submitted and accepted yearly by the JLA Cmmittee and fr ease f reference are fund at the end f this dcument and labeled, Detailed Specie Requirements. The cmplete specie classes and rules are fund in the 4-H/FFA Exhibitr Guide. Grievance r cntrversies arising ut f individual specie requirements (presented belw) will be reslved at the department specie level. Issues cnnected t the JLA, will be addressed by the JLA Cmmittee. In all cases, the final decisin n issues affecting the Fair r whether any actins r items are in the best interests f the Fair, reside slely with the CCFA and/r the Fair Manager/CEO. JLA Cmmittee will prvide a weigh master and scale reader t versee each species at each weigh-in. Specie Superintendent will prvide JLA Cmmittee: Official weigh in sheet fr each weigh in At final weigh-in the Superintendent will annunce if the animal successfully made weight and/r rate f gain and qualifies t participate in the market class. If a weight is cntested fr any animal: the animal must stay within the scale area and be re-weighed immediately upn cmpletin f the weigh-in f all ther animals f that specie. All animals nt making weight r grade will remain at the Fair and be eligible t cmpete in a Feeder Class r be released under the decisin f the specie Superintendent after crdinatin with the Fair Manager.

The weigh master will lg the identificatin number fr any animal that fails t qualify t participate in the Auctin and ntify JLA Superintendent. Prvide Judges placement f the Market Class. Animals nt meeting market class grade will be disqualified frm sale. Market Sale Requirements: All yuth participating in the sale must meet the specie qualifying rules fund in the 4-H/FFA Exhibitr Guide within the 4-H/FFA Animal Species Divisins class. This is a terminal sale. All animals sld at the Junir Livestck Auctin must g frm the Fairgrunds directly t a designated state-apprved slaughter facility upn release by species Superintendent as stated in the Sale Catalg. When a buyer wishes the animal prcessed fr his wn use, they will take pssessin f the carcass at the packing huse. The cst f custm slaughter and wrapping is the respnsibility f the buyer. Each Yuth Exhibitr is allwed t sell tw (2) animals r units meeting final weight/grade requirements at time f final weigh-in and judging. If an exhibitr has mre than tw (2) animals r units f cmbined species, Yuth must declare which tw (2) animals r units will be entered in the market sale after cmpletin f all Market Classes. The maximum number f animals r units an exhibitr may sell at auctin will remain at tw (2). Each exhibitr must lead, drive, r carry his wn livestck thrugh the sale ring unless excused by his/her superintendent Animal Health and Feed Recrds alng with a Market Expense Reprt (t include feed tags) must be prvided t the species superintendent, fully cmplete, prir t the animal being judged and graded. Failure t cmplete/prvide the recrds will disqualify the animal frm the Junir Livestck Auctin. Superintendents fficial weigh in recrds cntaining the exhibitr s name, animal ear tag number, pre-weigh-in (if applicable) and final weight will prvide infrmatin fr the sale bk. Sale Ring Rtatin: Order f sale will rtate each year between the species. All Best f Shw Champins and Reserve Best f Shw Champins will sell first in their respective species. Sale rder fr the Clark Cunty Junir Livestck Auctin fr 2018 will be: 1. Rabbits** 2. Sheep 3. Gats 4. Steers 5. Swine 6. Pultry ** Represents the Featured Species at the Buyers Buffet

Payment in full is expected at cnclusin f the auctin. Outstanding buyer invices will be charged at 1% per mnth fee n amunts nt paid within 30 days f invice. Failure t meet these terms may result in exclusin frm future sales. Animals must be wned by the Yuth exhibitr, and any prfit realized will be that f the exhibitr. Seller will be paid n the final live weight basis at weigh in fr steers, hgs, and lambs; and n a per head basis fr gats, pultry and rabbits. Buyers nt wishing t keep the animal they purchase, there are tw ptins: Optin 1: The buyer may re-sell it t the supprt buyer at the published supprt base price. Fr this ptin: the buyer pays the difference between his bid and the base price. The supprt buyer then pays the base price and takes delivery f the animal. Optin 2: The buyer may dnate the animal t the Clark Cunty Fd Bank thrugh the Yuth Effrts Against Hunger (YEAH) prgram. Fr this ptin: the buyer pays the full bid price f the animal. The animal is then sent fr prcessing. The Yuth exhibitr retains wnership and respnsibility fr the care and feeding f the animal(s) until released by the Superintendent. The buyer takes pssessin f the meat/carcass at the packinghuse. Rabbits and Pultry are delivered t buyers. Up t a five (5%) percent cmmissin will be deducted frm exhibitr checks. Any ther charges related t the sale f the animal may als be deducted. Market Sale checks will be issued when sufficient funds have been depsited in the Market Sale Accunt. Detailed Specie Requirements: Market Beef: (Steer/Heifer) Pre Weigh In: February 3, 2018 maximum 3 animals per exhibitr 500 pund minimum Final Weigh In: August 8, 2018 at 7:00 a.m. maximum 2 animals per exhibitr Animal must meet rate f gain (ADG 2.5 lbs/day) : 465 punds Minimum weight: 1000 punds Cmpete and grade in market class: select r better Exhibitr allwed t sell 2 animals animal, nt t exceed the maximum animals per exhibitr in each species (3 beef). All Rabbits (fryers) must be less than 70 days f age at final weigh in Only blue ribbn fryers qualify fr sale and nly tw lts (units) in any cmbinatin may sell in the auctin.
