Birds can be unpenned after 3pm on Saturday 23rd June 2018 and all birds must be collected by 5pm on Saturday 23rd June 2018, unless alternate arrangements are organised with the Chief Steward at least 48hrs prior to the show day. The shed will be locked after 5pm Saturday 23rd June Prize Money: 1-3 Entries First $ Entries First $2.00, Second $1.00 All Prize money to be collected from Treasurer s office on day of Show after 3pm Entry Fee: Veterinary Surgeon: Leg Bands: $1.00 per entry (All payments must accompany entry forms) Service obtainable on show day Exhibitors responsible for all fees incurred. 3 1. Birds 12 months and over will be judged as adults. 2. Bird age definitions: Cock: male 12months and over Hen: female 12 months and over Cockerel: male under 12 months Pullet: female under 12 months 3. Should any dispute for which there is no specific rules arise, the matter in dispute will be referred to the committee, the decision of which is final. 4. Exhibits shall be in their place by 8:30am on Saturday 23rd June 2018 and will not be removed until after trophy presentations have been completed. All exhibits must be collected from the shed by 5pm, after which the shed will be locked. 5. Exhibitors are responsible for their own carry boxes. Exhibitors are not to leave carry boxes in the pavilion. 6. Water cups for birds will be provided. No personal water cups to be used 7. Any bird found to be carrying lice/mites or deemed sick will not be judged and will be removed from judging pens. 8. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY OF THE SHOW. 9. No eggs to be taken from pens, even by the owner of the bird. 10. The Society will not accept any liability for livestock exhibited, the risk being that of the exhibitor. 11. Any person found removing eggs from the fowl pens will be prosecuted, unless given permission by the Chief Steward. 12. Abuse towards the stewards from exhibitors will not be tolerated and will result in exclusion from the Poultry Pavilion and may result in permanent expulsion. 13. Electrical Equipment- Any exhibitors intending to bring electrical equipment and or gas bottles to the showground s will be required to ensure that such equipment is fitted with earth leakage circuit breakers and that all electrical leads, tools and appliances have been inspected and tagged by a licensed electrical contractor or gas fitter. This is essential for the safety of all exhibitors and general public and is a requirement of work place health and safety act of The act imposes very severe penalties in the event of non compliance with its provisions. Any exhibitors who do not comply will not be allowed on the Kalbar showground s. Exhibitors should check all electrical equipment and all gas bottles to avoid occurrences of any difficulties 14. Kalbar Show General Rules: The rules listed in this area supplement the general list provided on the Kalbar show rules and regulations web page. 15. JUNIOR SECTION (Not eligible for Fowl of Show) Juniors are aged 6 years to 17 years inclusive at time of show. All juniors MUST pen their own birds in front of a steward. 16. Waiver, Release and Acknowledgement Form Clarification of Terms In this waiver, release and acknowledgement form, the society means and includes: a) All affiliated entities; b) Servants or agents of the society and / or all affiliated entities; c) Employees of the society and / or all affiliated entities; d) Members of the society and / or all affiliated entities; e) Volunteers of the society and / or all affiliated entities.
