Thursday, 19th April, 7.00am to 8.30am - enter through Gate 3 NB - No carry boxes are to be left in Pavilion after penning. UNPENNING: Sunday, 22nd April at 5.00pm (no exceptions) This WILL BE supervised by stewards. Poultry will be fed by Stewards over the course of the show, HDAA supplies all feed. JUDGES: HARD FEATHER - all: TBA SOFT FEATHER - all: TBA WATERFOWL - all: TBA ANIMAL WELFARE POLICY Hawkesbury District Agricultural Association (HDAA) provides for the welfare and how we treat animals on the showground. The expectations and requirements are for the care of animals and if exhibitors breach these conditions HDAA may take action if required through ejecting the involved exhibitor and/or reporting the incident to the RSPCA for legal action. An Exhibitor or Attendant of an Animal Exhibit must use all reasonable steps to ensure that the exhibit is housed and cared for in accordance with the Animal Welfare Policy. Animal Welfare is a human responsibility that encompasses all aspects of animal wellbeing. 2 Best of Breed sashes (PAIRS) will be awarded to the following: HARD FEATHER BREEDING PAIR STANDARD or BANTAM SOFT FEATHER BREEDING PAIR STANDARD or BANTAM WATERFOWL BREEDING PAIR Best of Breed sashes (SINGLES) will be awarded PROVIDED there are SIX or more entries of the one breed in their respective classes; eg Standard or Bantam. BEST Leghorn OVERALL Trophy Donated by Mr Colin Shaw CONDITIONS: 1 The Show generally is judged under the standardised guidelines laid down by the Exhibition Poultry Association of NSW Inc. Any person found guilty of any malpractice will be reported to the State Controlling Body. 2 The Committee reserves the right to refuse or cancel any entry without disclosing the reason. 3 All entries are to be the bona fide property of the Exhibitor 4 No fraudulent practice will be allowed. Every exhibitor shall be deemed to be, and will be held, responsible for the condition in which his exhibit appears in the Show pen. Diseased or vermin affected birds will be removed at the discretion of the Chief Steward. 5 Leg bands and tags must be removed prior to judging. 6 No eggs are to be removed from the pens EXCEPT by the Stewards. 7 No bird may be removed from its pen without the permission of the Chief Steward and then only with a Steward in attendance. 8 Exhibitors and onlookers are to refrain from talking to or otherwise distracting the Judge & Stewards. Offenders will be removed from the Pavilion. Judging sticks are to be used by the JUDGES ONLY. 9 Junior Exhibitor classes are restricted to exhibitors 18 years and under at the time of the Show. Junior Exhibitors MUST pen their own exhibits. Junior Exhibitors may exhibit in Open Classes 10 Great care is taken, but the Association will not be responsible for any accident, loss or damage arising from any cause. All exhibits are entered at the risk of the Exhibitor. 11 Undubbed males in Old English, Modern and Australian Pit Game classes will not be judged. 12 Birds entered in wrong classes will not be judged. 13 If 6 or more of the same variety or colour are entered in the AC, AOV or AOC classes, a new class will be made. Please state variety or colour on the entry form. 14 Birds in Breeding Pair classes will not be eligible for major awards. 15 Judges who officiate are not to exhibit birds in the breed classes they are judging. 16 Judging is by the Australian Poultry Standards.
