2 ROYAL COUNTY OF BERKSHIRE SHOW 2017 Smoking is not permitted in the Tent for safety reasons. Held under Poultry Club Rules. TWO DAY SHOW September 16th & 17th 2017 Prize Money Best in show 40; Reserve 20; Section Winners 10 Prize money will be paid at the show. Poultry Club Representative : Terry Hannam Tickets will be sent out with penning slips. Birds to be penned and eggs plated by September 16th Boxing at September 17th. Departure at The committee reserves the right to penalise entrants boxing early. Exhibitors who enter 4 birds receive one two day ticket. Exhibitors who enter 12 or more plates of eggs to receive one two day ticket. Entry Fees:- Poultry Classes including trios 1.50 Juveniles aged 5-16 inclusive 50 pence Eggs 50 pence Cheques payable to Newbury & District Agricultural Society. Entries to :- Newbury Showground, Priors Court Road, Hermitage, Thatcham, Berks. RG18 9QZ Telephone Entries close:- August 20th 2017 Online Entries available at: Please Note. You are advised to arrive before noon on the Sunday to ensure you can park near the tent. Parking is the responsibility of the Newbury & District Agricultural Society, and therefore the stewards have no influence if you have any problems. RULES AND CONDITIONS FOR ALL EXHIBITORS

3 1. The show will be held under Poultry Club Rules. 2. Entry Fees, Prize Money and Closing Date for entries are stated in the schedule. 3. There will be no cancellation or amalgamation of classes. 4. Water will be provided by The Newbury & District Agricultural Society and your stock will be cared for by experienced stewards. Anyone locking their pens will be responsible for their own feeding and watering. 5. On no account may any exhibit be handled or removed from its pen by anyone other than the Show Judge and/ or a Steward until after on Sunday. 6. Whilst every care is taken, the organisers cannot be held responsible for loss. 7. The decision of the Show Committee on all points not covered by these rules is final. 8. Any person wishing to protest must deposit 5 with the Show Secretary and obtain a receipt. This sum shall be forfeited if the protest is not upheld by the Show Committee. 9. No late entries will be accepted. 10. Each exhibitor will be responsible for the insurance of stock and equipment brought to the Show and no liability shall fall on the Newbury & District Agricultural Society Show Committee. 11. All trophies of a perpetual nature must be signed for by the winners immediately after presentation. The return of Trophies must be made at least 28 days before the 2018 show.
