2 The Hunter Valley Bantam Club Show will be held with the kind permission of the Maitland Showground trust at Maitland Showground Poultry Pavilion Blomfield St, Maitland NSW Entries close Friday 29th June, 2018 PLEASE NOTE that no entries will be taken on the day of the show. Judges: Soft feather Kim George Hard feather Brett Porter Waterfowl Peter Cliff Chief Steward Peter Cliff Stewards Barry Newell Brett Greentree Gail Barlow Judging will start 9.00am sharp. Unpenning will take place after presentation. All birds are to be stewarded out. Fowls can be penned from 7am until 8.30am NO penning Saturday night All entries together with entry fees to be mailed to The Show Secretary Heather McKenzie 27 Pokolbin St Kearsley 2325 Phone: Entry Fees Members $1.00 per bird per class Non-members $1.50 per bird per class Annual Club Membership Fees Due 1 st July 2018 to 30 th June 2019 Cheques Payable to Hunter Valley Bantam Club Inc. Family $15.00 Single $10.00 each Catering will be Available Lunch will be available for purchase along with morning tea, cold drinks, tea and coffee. Show Day Raffle Tickets will be on sale on the day of the show for $1 per ticket. Please support this fundraiser by purchasing your tickets on show day. The large variety of prizes will be displayed at the show.

3 SHOW RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. This Show will be conducted under the rules of the Exhibition Poultry Association of NSW, The Rare Poultry Breeders Association and the Australian Poultry Standards. A copy may be perused at the Secretary s office. 2. All care will be taken of exhibits, but the Club cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to the birds over the duration of the Show. 3. All birds are to penned and ready for judging by 8:30am on the day of show. No fowl is to be handled after penning (8:30am) without the authority of the stewards. 4. Only the clean, new water containers supplied by the club are to be used. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to ensure that their birds have water. 5. All exhibits must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor and any attempt to misrepresent will result in disqualification. 6. The committee reserves the right to refuse or cancel any entry without giving reason for doing so. 7. All birds must be clean and healthy. Any bird infested with vermin, diseased or sick birds will be rejected and removed from the pavilion. 8. Judging will be open, but onlookers must remain quiet and maintain a respectable distance from the Judges and Stewards. 9. The Club reserves the right to substitute a Judge or Judges if deemed necessary. 10. It is expected that all entries received will be accepted, however, the committee reserves the right to limit the number of entries from any one exhibitor, in any one class, if deemed necessary. 11. NO LEG BANDS. To ensure an unbiased competition it is important that an exhibit along with its cage is not to be altered in any way that may make a bird recognisable. This includes leg bands, drink containers, shavings etc 12. The Judge s decision on the day is final. 13. NO SMOKING IN THE PAVILION AT ANY TIME 14. Junior exhibitors are aged between 4 and 16 (must prepare and pen their own birds) 15. If six or more birds of any are entered in a class then a new class may be formed (at the discretion of the committee) to reflect the s entered. Similarly, classes may be collapsed (at the discretion of the committee) if six or less birds are entered.
