Two more from the same home sold for 221.5ppk and 206.5ppk. Well-fed Lim x bulls from E, DJ & P Nesom of Wilton topped at 231.5ppk ( 1412) with another two selling for 224.5ppk and 218.5ppk. Cha and Stab x from M & JE Dowson topped at 208.5ppk twice. BB x from WH & DM Curtis reached STEERS A decent entry of steers with more still required. The top price per kilo was for a 19 month old BB x from DR Jackson and Sons of Carnaby weighing 700kgs and selling for 246.5ppk ( 1725) to R Pearson. Lim and BA x from C Foster and Sons topped at 221.5ppk and Lim x from JE & P Remmer reached 236.5ppk ( 1478). Lim x from A Cussons and Son topped at 226.5ppk twice. 2 37 HEIFERS MALTON LIVESTOCK AUCTIONEERS A very good entry of heifers with some well fed cattle in this week and very little poor cattle about. The top price per kilo was for a 27 month old lim x from GI Marwood of Harome weighing 540kgs and selling for 264.5ppk ( 1428) to JA Jewitt Ltd of Spennymoor. Another three from the same home sold for 253.5ppk, 243.5ppk ( 1607) and 243.5ppk. The top price per head was for a 22 month old lim x from DR Jackson and Sons weighing 640kgs and selling for 255.5ppk ( 1635) to Worsley Wholesale Butchers of Leeds. Another lim x from the same home sold for 257.5ppk. BB and Lim x from JR Gardiner Ltd topped at 258.5ppk twice. Lim x from RH Mason reached 259.5ppk ( 1479). Lim x from J & R Waind topped at 258.5ppk. Lim x from R Rose sold for 253.5ppk and 254.5ppk. Lim and BB x from AW Hardwick and Sons topped at 239.5ppk and Cha x from R & E Hall topped at 235.5ppk. The top price OTM was a 31 month old Lincoln Red steer from LG Gray and Son weighing 685kgs and selling for 194.5ppk ( 1332). A 31 month old BB x heifer from DJ & S Tomlinson topped at 167.5ppk ( 1055). 7 Older cull cows (over 72 months old) Older cows topped at 135.5ppk for a 169 month old AA x cow from EW Stead and Son of Lockton. A Lim x cow from R Rose topped at 133.5ppk. A Cha x stock bull from AB Brown sold for 94.5ppk. 740 HOGGS A better show of hoggs this Tuesday with certainly more fed hoggs forward overall. A better trade across the board as well with more and more demand for hoggs each and every week at present. The top price was for a pen of ten Texel x from M Ward and Son of Great Habton weighing 44kgs and selling for 227ppk ( 100) to JB Fitton of Shaw. 53kgs from the same home sold for 108 and 52kgs sold for 110.
