4 Rules and Conditions of Entry Closing Date for Entries Entries must be received no later than 4:30pm on Friday 10th May Entries received after that date will not be accepted. Where classes are ARC, AORC or AOV the colour and/or variety must be stated on the entry form. No phone or faxed entries accepted. 1. Entry Fees $5.50 for each POULTRY entry $2.50 for each EGG entry Entry fees must accompany your Application for entry and ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. 2. JUNIOR ENTRANTS MUST Enter as a Junior on their entry form Be under 15 years old on the 8 th of June Prepare, pen and care for the birds they enter. 3. Entry Restrictions It is anticipated that all entries received would be accepted. However, the Committee reserves the right to reduce the number of entries accepted in any class or classes should there be insufficient penning space to accommodate all entries. Health & Cleanliness of Exhibits Exhibitors are requested to ensure their exhibits are in good health and condition when delivered to the Poultry Pavilion. Exhibits showing signs of sickness, disease, vermin or poor condition may be refused acceptance and removed by the Chief Steward. Entry fees will not be refunded. Exhibitors are requested to ensure that exhibits are clean by examining their birds for lice and vermin prior to delivery. Interstate exhibitors will be welcome, but they are asked to check with the appropriate government department in their home States in order to ascertain details of any special health regulations to be met before birds may be forwarded to or returned from the ACT. 4. Property Identification Code (PIC) The RNCAS Committee hereby request owners of all species of poultry to be compliant with the requirements of PICs. PIC Requirement A PIC number is required for any holding on which are held 100 or more chickens turkeys, guinea fowl, ducks, geese, quail, pigeons (Including racing pigeons), pheasant or partridge and 10 or more of emus and / or ostriches. Compliance The onus is on individual property and stock owners to comply with PIC requirements under clause 29 of the Stock Diseases Act There is no active surveillance for or compliance of PICs for property on which Poultry are held. RNCAS PIC Number The RNCAS of EPIC Showground PIC number for compliant Exhibitors recording the details of their bird s movements is: NF Entry Acceptance No exhibit entered in a wrong class will be allowed to compete, and the entry fee in respect of such exhibit will be forfeited. The decision of the Judges shall be accepted as final. No trimming, plucking, dyeing of feathers, legs or any other fraudulent practice will be allowed, and every exhibitor will be deemed to be, and will be held responsible for the condition in which his exhibit appears in the pen. Any protests shall be considered by the Committee as soon as possible after lodgement, and their decision shall be final for this show. Whenever any exhibit has been disqualified the Committee may also disqualify the exhibitor thereof from exhibiting at future Shows of the Society and may declare forfeited all prizes awarded to him. Should any exhibit which has been awarded a prize be disqualified, the next in order of merit on the Judge s award card shall not necessarily be entitled to the prize, but the matter shall be determined by the Committee. No bird other than an exhibit in respect of which application for entry has been accepted by the Society shall be brought onto the Showground by any exhibitor or other person except with the consent of the Chief Executive Officer. No bird other than an exhibit shall be displayed or offered for sale on the Showground except as part of a Trade Stand and then with the consent of the Chief Executive Officer. An exhibitor must not cover any exhibit during the period the pavilion is open to the public. Birds may only be removed for photographing with the approval of the Chief Steward or Supervising Steward, who will appoint another steward to attend while the birds are being photographed. The Chief Steward or Show Manager may sanction the removal of birds from pens should this be required to conduct Judging. 6. Arrival and Penning Dates Exhibitors are invited to pen their birds on: Friday 7th June 2019 Between 10.15am and 8.30pm Saturday 8th June 2019 Between 6.30am and 8.30am Any exhibit not penned with in the designated time frame will be refused entry to the pavilion. 2

5 7. Removal of Exhibits (Unpenning) Unpenning on Sunday 9th will be managed strictly in order of Exhibitor Travel Distance. Exhibitors will receive written advice in respect of the departure order and arrangements. Sunday 9th June Unpenning will commence at 2:15pm and will cease at 5.30pm. Monday 10th June Unpenning will be available between 6.20am and 10.30am. 8. Awards Ribbons for the Best of Breed Awards will be presented if there are eight or more entries in any one breed. 9. Exhibit Unworthy of an Award An exhibit shall not receive an award if, in the opinion of the Judge, it is unworthy of such an award. 10. Cancellation of the show It is agreed between the parties that, if in the sole view of the Directors or the Chief Executive Officer or some other authorised officer that the Show is to be partially or fully cancelled for any reason whatsoever, the exhibitor shall not pursue the Society for the recoveries of lost income or damages. 11. Non-Exhibition of Exhibits Exhibitors are requested to advise the Society by phone, letter or at least 10 days prior to penning date, if any exhibits cannot be penned. This will assist in avoiding empty pens within classes. 14. Sale of Birds for the duration of the Show will be by way of HELMSMAN AUCTION on Sunday 9th June Birds entered for auction must be exhibited and the $5.50 entry fee paid by the Vendor. Bidders must register in order to place bids. A Bidder registration fee of $5.00 will apply. Bidder numbers will be issued. Auctioned birds may not be removed until unpenning in the presence of an Auction Steward. ## Trade stand holders must have written agreement to sell display stock. 15. Prize Cards Prize Cards will be awarded at the discretion of the Committee depending on Class entries. Important Information about Your Prize Money Ensuring you promptly receive your prize money is important to us. The RNCAS is only able to pay prize money if we receive up-to-date bank account details, including BSB, Account Number and Account Name. All prize money will be paid via direct deposit to your nominated bank account. In the event that you do not provide bank account detail s we regret to advise we will be unable to pay any prize money. You will find an appropriate place on your entry form or in your online entry form for your bank account details. The RNCAS is unable to pay prize money to a credit card. 12. Loss or Damage of Exhibits The Society shall not be responsible in the event of any loss or damage to any exhibit howsoever arising, and in particular shall not be responsible if, through any negligent or willful act on the part of any official or servant of the Society, or through theft, the exhibit is not restored in good order and condition to the exhibitor or any person claiming through the exhibitor at the close of the Show. 13.
