2 FOREWORD David has farmed Malkin Bower Farm all his life, taking over from his father who farmed before him. He is a very well respected farmer within the area, regularly selling quality lambs & store cattle through Northallerton Auctions. The sale could not be more genuine as David has decided to retire as both of his children have chosen other career paths. A lot of the machinery has been owned since new and driven & maintained carefully by David and his long serving farm worker. Never has the saying not raced or rallied been more appropriate. The breeding ewes have mainly all been bred on the farm, having only purchased replacement tups & Swaledale Ewes in recent years the flock is virtually a closed flock. The flock consists of mainly mule ewes with swaledale ewes bought in & kept to feed mule gimmers back into the flock which are mainly lambed as shearlings for the first time. The Flock are all in the Heptavac P system, had Cydectin LA at lambing & have recently been Crovect pour on treated. Approximately 500 Mule Ewes & 88 Swale Ewes along with 8 Continental & Blufaced Leicester Tups of flock ages will be sold on the farm ages and exact numbers at page 19 of the catalogue. GENERAL INFORMATION VIEWING Viewing for the sale at the following times only; by appointment only on Wednesday 12 th September and from Noon on Thursday 13 th September. BUYERS BIDDING NUMBER Prospective purchasers are required to register for a bidding number specific to this sale before placing bids. BUYERS PREMIUM Buyers Premium at 5% plus VAT will be added to hammer price of all deadstock No Buyers Premium on Livestock PAYMENT OF OUTSTANDING ACCOUNTS Buyers must note that all accounts must be settled in full on the day of the sale. All purchasers unknown to the Auctioneers and wishing to pay by cheque must make one of the following arrangements prior to the sale day. 1) Arrange with your bank to bring a Guaranteed Cheque with you 2) A letter from your Bank stating the amount, up to which your cheque will be honoured, 2

3 letters must specify the sale and date, and must not be a photocopy or fax. Cash payments will be accepted on the day. Please note, credit cards will not be accepted. TAKING AWAY OF GOODS Purchasers may only take goods after the sale has ended, and will only be released with a PASSOUT. Items to be paid for in full before removing from the sale. All items purchased must be removed by Monday 16 th September. Failure of purchasers to remove lots within the given time frame will incur storage charges, payable on collection. Purchasers must note that all lots become their responsibility upon the fall of the hammer. FACILITIES AT THE SALE A catering trailer will be in attendance on Thursday 13 th September from 1pm. LIABILITY The vendor & Auctioneers will not accept any responsibility or liability for the loss or damage to lots left on the sale ground and buyers are reminded that upon the fall of the hammer they are liable for the purchased lot. 19 Breeding Sheep A genuine flock of breeding sheep that have mainly all been bred on the farm, having only purchased replacement tups & Swaledale Ewes in recent years. The flock consists of mainly mule ewes with swaledale ewes bought in & kept to feed mule gimmers back into the flock which are then lambed as shearlings for the first time.
