Follow the instructions to log in to enter your animals. Returning exhibitor: New Exhibitor account: The Hold Harmless exhibitor statement, IAFE National Code of Show Ring Ethics and VCPR statement must be agreed to online when making entries. Once all entries are completed for each individual department, print out the Animal Entry Payment Confirmation and mail it with a check payable to the Crawford County Fair to Larrie Rose Blystone, Humes Rd., Cambridge Springs, PA Entries will not be officially accepted by the Department Chairmen until payment is received. Deadline: Postmarked by Friday, July 20, Please write DOB on entry form for all breeding animals. A $2.00 per head entry fee is required on all animals. 122
2 Registration papers and Health papers must be presented at check in on Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 8:00 AM to Noon, and 2:00-6:00 PM. A copy of your health papers must be presented to the Department Chairman at check-in. Beef will be released at 8:00 PM on Saturday, August 25. No additions or substitutions in classes will be allowed after 6:00 p.m. Monday. The Fair Veterinarian, Dr. Nicole Drummond, is responsible for Supervising checking in animals onto the Fairgrounds and has the final word on removal of animals from the grounds for health reasons. If a veterinarian is needed for any other medical reason, you as the exhibitor, are responsible for all treatment costs incurred. Hay, grain and straw are to be furnished by the exhibitor. Health Requirements for Pennsylvania Cattle: 1. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued after May 1, All animals must be free of evidence of infectious and contagious diseases and a statement of this should be written on the CVI. Animals appearing unhealthy upon arrival may not enter the exhibition grounds. 3. Exhibitors must show written proof from their Veterinarian that a beef animal (market beef are exempt from this vaccination requirement) exhibited at the Crawford County Fair has had a rabies shot one time in its lifetime and not less than 30 days before opening day of the current Fair year. 4. Cattle shall be identified by an official ear tag or other unique identification device approved by PDA. Official identification includes: a. A USDA-issued National Uniform Eartagging System (NUES) ear tag having a US shield ; or b. A 15 digit Animal Identification Number (AIN) ear tag starting with 840 and having a US shield ; or c. Other identification approved by the PDA (brands and breed registrations with tattoos are not acceptable). 5. Required vaccinations: IBR, PI 3, BRSV and BVD. All drug and vaccine label directions must be followed, including but not limited to milk and slaughter withdrawal period, 123
3 and the final dose of vaccine must be administered at least 15 days but not more than 180 days prior to entry into the Fair. The vaccination information must be included on the CVI. 6. Rodeo: It is recommended that rodeo cattle of all ages be negative on an official tuberculin test within 60 days prior to the start of the fair unless they are members of and originate from an accredited tuberculosis-free herd. The cattle can be accompanied by the negative test report or the tuberculosis test results can be recorded by the veterinarian on a CVI. IMPORTANT! The date of the last live virus vaccination, or the dates of the last two killed virus vaccinations, must be recorded on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI). Out of State Cattle Requirements: 1. Federal regulations (USDA) require a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued within the 30 days prior to the date of importation. 2. Vesicular Stomatitis (VS): This applies to cattle entering Pennsylvania from states that experienced a Vesicular Stomatitis outbreak in the last 12 months. In these cases an accredited veterinarian shall determine whether the animals are free from VS, and animals shall be accompanied by a CVI with the following statement signed by the accredited veterinarian: All animals identified on this CVI have been examined and found to be free from VS. During the past 90 days, these animals have neither been exposed to VS nor were located within 10 miles of a site where VS has been diagnosed. 3. All animals must be free of evidence of infectious and contagious diseases and a statement of this is required on the CVI. 4. Federal regulation (USDA) requires individual official animal identification. Official ID will have a US shield and includes: a. A USDA-issued National Uniform Eartagging System (NUES) tag; or b. A 15-digit Animal Identification Number (AIN) ear tag starting with 840 ; or c. Other official identification approved by USDA. 124

No test is required for animals originating from states or zones designated as accredited free by the USDA. b. All animals originating from states or zones designated modified accredited advanced by the USDA must be test negative within the 60 days prior to the date of importation. The negative test results and dates of tests must be included on the CVI or the animal must be accompanied by a negative test report (a copy of the original report is acceptable). c. All animals originating from states or zones designated modified accredited by the USDA must originate from herds in which all animals 12 months of age and older are test negative within the 12 months prior to the date of importation and the individual animals (all ages) to be imported are also test negative within the 60 days prior to the date of importation and at least 60 days after the negative whole herd test was completed. The negative test results and date of test must be included on the CVI or the animal must be accompanied by a negative test report (a copy of the original test report is acceptable). 6.
