4 OFFICERS AND COMMITTEE RULES 1. This institution shall be called Blanchland and Hunstanworth Show. 2. The Society shall be governed by a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and General Committee, to be elected at an Annual Meeting, any five of whom shall be competent to act. To them shall be committed the disposal of the funds of the Society. They shall make arrangements for the Show and all matters connected therewith. 3. Exhibitors shall pay admission money at the gate, and entry money in each class. 4. That competent Judges be appointed by the Committee previous to the day of the Show, the decision of such Judges to be final. 5. The Committee, Exhibitors and one Assistant only will be allowed to enter the place of showing during the time of setting up the productions for competition. Admittance for that purpose at 8.30am. All Industrial and Horticultural productions for competition must be in place by 10:30am prompt. The Show Field will be open for visitors from 11am. Any late entries will be taken from 9am for this year only, in following years entry will only be in advance. 6. Should there be three or less exhibits in one class, prizes will be left to the Judge s discretion. 7. Donations will be received by Secretary or Treasurer. 8. No exhibitors are allowed to remove any exhibit before 4.30pm and all exhibits should be removed by 5:30pm, at which hour the tent will be cleared. Exhibitors will be allowed to re-enter. No parking on the field until after 5:00pm anyone infringing this rule to be liable to forfeiture of prize money. 9. In all sections all exhibits must be the bona-fide work of the exhibitor and must not have gained a prize at this Show previously. Any person charging an exhibitor with violating this rule must do so on Show Day, depositing 3.00 with the Secretary, which shall be forfeited to the Society if the Committee consider the charge not proven. 10. If any alterations or additions be required to the foregoing rules such shall be made at the Annual Meeting.

9 FLORAL ART An exhibit denotes an arrangement or arrangements of plant material with or without accessories. Plant material must predominate. No artificial material allowed, height unlimited, but must be in proportion. Would all entrants please advise the Industrial Committee of the approximate entries and classes 48 hours before the Show to enable ample staging to be provided. Any article for exhibition sent by post must reach the secretary on the Friday prior to the Show. It should be accompanied by a notice that will be removed personally, or by an addressed label and remittance covering postage. NOTE: All reasonable care and attention will be given but the Secretary and Committee do not hold themselves responsible for any loss or damage. 4.
