ENTRY FEES FOR MEMBERS OF THE LADIES KENNEL ASSOCIATION For each dog: Shs. 1,000/- per Class for all Classes. Mpesa payments: Shs 1,100/- per Class Benching fees included in the entry fee. NOTE: MAXIMUM FEE FOR LKA MEMBERS ONLY SHS. 10,000/- FOR ANY NUMBER OF CLASSES. Payment by Mpesa Shs 10,100/- The LKA Joining Fee is Shs 1,000/- making exhibitors eligible to receive cups and enter shows at membership rates. Membership Payment by Mpesa: Shs 1,100/- ENTRY FEES FOR NON-MEMBERS OF THE LADIES KENNEL ASSOCIATION For each dog: Shs. 1,500/- per Class. Benching fees included in the entry fee. Payment by Mpesa Shs 1,600/- Each exhibitor will receive a complimentary catalogue. Cheques should be made out to Ladies Kennel Association. NUMBER CARDS MAY BE COLLECTED FROM THE EAKC OFFICE BY WEDNESDAY, 20 TH FEBRUARY, 2019 OR AT THE VET OFFICE AT THE TIME OF VET INSPECTION. VETERINARY INSPECTION Exhibitors arriving more than 30 minutes after the vetting office is due to close, without a valid excuse, will have to obtain clearance from a private veterinarian. If a vet is on the showground and can help, hs 1,000/- will be paid to the show accounts. Saturday 23 rd February a.m. to 9 a.m p.m. to p.m. Sunday 24 th February a.m. to 9 a.m. 1

2 IMPORTANT NOTICES 1. Bitches in season may now be exhibited in beauty classes but are not allowed to compete in Obedience Tests. 2. Only dogs with valid VACCINATION CERTIFICATES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE SHOWGROUND. Validity is not less than 2 weeks before the Show and not more than 1 year before the Show date. Puppies should be vaccinated at the age of 12 weeks. Please consult your vet if in doubt. Booster doses are valid within a week. 3. RABIES A valid RABIES CERTIFICATE OF VACCINATION for each dog MUST be presented at the time of Veterinary Inspection. Please consult your vet if in doubt. 4. PUPPIES Vaccination of puppies at 12 weeks of age with an inactive vaccine is valid for one year 5. DOGS NOT ENTERED IN THE SHOW WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE SHOWGROUND unless permission is granted beforehand. 6. All dogs should be brought to the Showground with a VALID RABIES VACCINATION CERTIFICATE. 7. BREEDS shown in the morning session on Saturday may leave at 1 p.m. but Breeds shown in the afternoon session must stay until the Show closes. As the general public pays to see the dogs it would be appreciated if you could adhere to the above rules and keep your dogs at the Show until leaving time. Thank You. 8. At the discretion of the Show Committee, some classes may be amalgamated. 9. Attracting the attention of exhibits from outside the show ring is not permitted 10. Castrated dogs and spayed bitches are eligible for exhibition whether or not they have progeny registered with the E.A. Kennel Club. 11. PLEASE NOTE: CHAMPION CLASSES will be offered to all breeds for Champions only. The winner of the Champion Class will not be eligible to challenge for the challenge certificate, but may compete for Best of Breed, except for German Shepherd Dogs. WARNING: DOGS MUST NOT BE LEFT IN CARS. TEMPERATURES INSIDE A CAR CAN BE DANGEROUSLY HIGHER THAN THOSE OUTSIDE A VEHICLE. IF DOGS ARE IN CARS IN WARM WEATHER EVEN WITH WINDOWS AJAR THEY CAN QUICKLY SUFFER FROM HEATSTROKE AND DIE IN LESS THAN 20 MINUTES. DOGS TO RETURN ON SUNDAY BEST PUPPIES: All Best puppies will be eligible to compete in the Puppy Criterion for Best Puppy in Show to be judged on Sunday afternoon. Puppies eligible will be the winners of Puppy Class in their respective breeds. However, if no Puppy Class is provided for a Breed the best puppy in that breed will be nominated by the Judge. Owners should return to the Showground with their Puppies by 2 p.m. Please bring your Number Card with you. BEST JUNIORS: Please see above. The same circumstances apply to Best Juniors in Show. This is for dogs that have attained 12 months of age but are under 18 months on the first day of the Show. BEST OF BREEDS, VETERANS, BRACES AND TEAMS Each Best of Breed, the winner of the Veteran Class judged on Saturday and the winners of the Brace and Team Classes judged on Saturday should return to the Showground on Sunday afternoon to compete in Best in Show judging in their respective groups and categories. All dogs to have returned to the Showground by 2 p.m. Please bring your Number Card with you. CHALLENGE CERTIFICATES Challenge Certificates will be offered to all Breeds classified, but in the case of Breeds entered in the ANY BREED NOT SEPARATELY CLASSIFIED classes, Challenge Certificates will be offered at the discretion of the Ladies Kennel Association for all Breeds for which Challenge Certificates are offered under the Kennel Club Regulations, and for those Breeds eligible to receive Challenge Certificates (or their equivalent) in their Country of Origin. For dogs of six and not exceeding twelve calendar months of age on the first day of the Show NB Wins in Puppy Class do not count as Prizes in any of the following classes For dogs of six and not exceeding eighteen calendar months of age on the first day of the Show For dogs which have not won more than two first prizes at any Show or Shows, or a Challenge Certificate. Wins in Puppy Class are excluded For dogs which have not won more than four first prizes at any Show or Shows in the following Classes: Graduate, Post Graduate, Limit, Open or a Challenge Certificate For dogs which have not won more than two Challenge Certificates or more than seven first prizes in the following classes: Limit and Open For all dogs of the Breed for which the Class is provided For dogs of any age specified in the Schedule but not less than seven years of age on the first day of the Show. When Veteran Class is offered as a Breed Class the award of Challenge Certificate shall take place after the Judging of the Veteran Class For Champions only. The winner of the Champion Class will not be eligible to challenge for the Challenge Certificate, but may compete for Best of Breed, except for German Shepherd Dogs.
