ALL DOGS MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE IRISH KENNEL CLUB. Owners/handlers must bring to the show their agility record books containing the officially recorded height of their dogs.

3 AGILITY GRADING SYSTEM GRADE 1 GRADE 2 GRADE 3 GRADE 4 GRADE 5 GRADE 6 GRADE 7 For handlers or dogs which have not gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Irish Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows. N.B. Handlers or dogs previously qualified out of Grade 1 (Elementary) are not eligible for this class. For handlers or dogs which have qualified out of Grade 1 but have not gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Grade 2 at Irish Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows, or elected to progress on points from Grade 1. N.B. Handlers or dogs previously qualified out of Grade 1 (Elementary) are not eligible for this class. Open to dogs which are not eligible for Grade 1 or 2 or have elected to progress on points from Grade 2 at Irish Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows and dogs which are not eligible for Grade 4, 5, 6 or 7. Open to dogs which have gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Grade 3 or elected to progress on points from Grade 3 at Irish Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows and dogs which are not eligible for Grade 3, 5, 6 or 7. Open to dogs which have gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Grade 4 or elected to progress on points from Grade 4 at Irish Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows and dogs which are not eligible for Grade 3, 4, 6 or 7. Open to dogs which have gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Grade 5 at Irish Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows and dogs which are not eligible for Grade 3, 4, 5 or 7. Open to dogs which have gained a minimum of four first places at Grade 6 at Irish Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows. Two first places must be gained in Agility (not Jumping) Classes. SHOW REGULATIONS 1. Warm up jumps and exercise area may be available for competitors. No practice will be allowed on agility equipment in the competition ring prior to competition. Failure to comply with the rules and regulations of the show will lead to automatic disqualification. 2. The committee reserves the right to refuse any entry. 3. Dogs under 18 months of age are not eligible to enter agility tests. 4. All wins prior to the day specified for the closing of entries shall be taken into account when entering any class. 5. It is the competitors responsibility to be available for their class. It is the policy of this club to treat our appointed judges with consideration. Please attend promptly for your class or ensure you excuse yourself with the ring steward. 6. No bitch in season is allowed to compete. Mating of bitches within the precincts of show grounds is forbidden. 7. Should the Judge be unable to fulfil the appointment, the committee reserves the right to appoint another Judge. 8. Should circumstances so dictate, the Society in consultation with the Judge, may alter arrangements as necessary. 9. Dogs must be kept under proper control at all times. 10. Dogs must not wear any type of slip, half-slip collar or lead when under test. A flat, close-fitting leather or webbing collar is permitted, providing the only attachment is a plain identification panel as an integral part of the collar, i.e. not attached by a ring. 11. Food shall not be given or carried in the ring. 12. Handlers will be permitted to walk the agility courses before judging commences. 13. Any article carried by the handler is subject to the judge s discretion, but must be indicated to the judge prior to the commencement of test. 14. Entries will only be accepted once the correct payment is received. 15. Please Note, IKC Reg. No. or LTC No. must be given. Microchip number only is not sufficient. 16. All competitors must show respect for the judge. Training rounds will only be allowed if prior permission has been given by the judge. 17. The Working Trials Club of Ireland will not be responsible for any loss or damage sustained through accidents by exhibits, exhibitors or other persons attending the show. 18. I hereby undertake not to bring within the precincts of the show any dog which has (a) distemper or other communicable disease, unless it has been fully recovered for more than 30 days immediately prior to the show or (b) has been in contact with or in any kennel or establishment containing distemper or any other communicable disease during 30 days immediately prior to the show or (c) has been inoculated with distemper virus or displayed any reaction there from during the 30 days immediately prior to the show or (d) has been in contact during the 30 days immediately prior to the show with any dog which was previously inoculated with distemper within 30 days. 4. IN CONSIDERATION of my entry being accepted I hereby agree (1) to indemnify the Irish Kennel Club and/or its Trustees or its Officials in respect of any damage or loss from whatever source arising caused by or to any dog exhibited by me while in the precincts of the Show; (2) that any decision given concerning me by the Irish Kennel Club or by any Committee thereof in connection with any matter whatsoever arising through or at this Show, shall be communicated by the Secretary of the Irish Kennel Club to all whom at the sole discretion of the Irish Kennel Club, it may concern and that such a decision, together with a report of the proceedings in the matter may also be published together with my name and address and description. 5. Therefore Membership paid on the day of a show or trial does not facilitate winning of trophies.
