2 SHEEP SECTION- RULES & REGULATIONS Franklin Sheep & Fleece Wool Show CHIEF STEWARD: General Rules and Regulations for the governance of the Franklin A & P are those issued by the Royal Agricultural Society of NZ (Inc) and it shall be deemed as if they have been printed in full in this schedule. Any exhibitor not sure of the conditions should get in touch with the Secretary. The Society may publish the names of winners. All sheep entered in the show must be the bona fide property of the Exhibitor. Sheep must not be housed for more than 48 hours prior to the Show. All sheep must be shorn on or after 1st July 2016 unless otherwise stated. All sheep entered in the show must be from a flock currently accredited Brucellosis free. Copies of Brucellosis Certificates must accompany entries. Sheep must be exhibited in NATURALCONDITION. PROTESTS: All protests are to be lodged at the Secretaries office within 30 minutes of the event. Protests must be in writing and accompanied by a $50.00 cash deposit. This will be refunded if the protest is upheld. Where necessary, Franklin A & P Society will adjudicate in all matters other than judging and such a decision shall be final. It may be necessary to make changes to the programme, prizes or judges because of circumstances beyond our control. No correspondence will be entered into. SPORTSMANSHIP: The purpose of our show is to provide our community & visiting competitors the opportunity to have an enjoyable day of fun & competition, therefore any person or persons who verbally or otherwise abuses fellow competitors, stewards, judges or show officials may be asked, at the discretion of the show committee, to leave the showgrounds All sheep to be penned by 8.30 am on day of show. JUDGING will commence at 10.00am No sheep to be removed from the show before 4 pm Saturday without the permission of the Chief Steward. The Governor General s Crook will be awarded only where there is adequate competition. Breed must be represented by a minimum of 2 Breeders.. The John Allen Trophy awarded to the Best Ram Lamb is awarded in rotation. Rotation as for the above trophy the Governor General Crook 2018 Poll Dorset The Harris Memorial Cup for Perpetual competition is awarded to the exhibitor gaining most points in the Sheep Section. Exhibitors can not gain Multiple points by exhibiting more than 1 breed. ENTRY FEES: - Franklin A & P Society member $9.00, ENTRIES CLOSE:- Friday 19th January 2018 PRIZE MONEY: 1st $20; 2nd $15; 3rd $10 Unless otherwise stated The Society reserves the right to substitute prizes for product or vouchers. In the event that there are three or fewer entries in a class, only half prize money may be paid at the discretion of the show committee. PRIZE MONEY WILL BE PAID OUT BY CHEQUE WITHIN 21 DAYS OF SHOW.
