The Humane Society of Broward County: Is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization Is a 33,000 square foot, completely air-conditioned shelter Can house 300+ dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and bunnies Places over 6,200 animals into new homes each year Receives over 250,000 visitors to the facility annually Has full-time internal veterinary services with an on-site clinic and staff Is recognized nationally as a leader in animal welfare in the southeastern United States" Is supported by nearly 550 active volunteers Receives no funding from the government, or any other national group Is not affiliated with, or a subsidiary of, any national or local animal shelter or group What PAWS Supports PAWS was founded in 1997 and is an auxiliary of the independent non-profit organization, the Humane Society of Broward County (HSBC). HSBC is not affiliated with any other Humane Society or any national or local animal welfare groups. The shelter relies entirely upon private donations, grants, bequests and fundraising events to care for the more than 30,000 animals the HSBC provides services for each year. Funds raised from special events help the Humane Society of Broward County continue to provide the following programs and services.

Adoptions: Over 6,200 animals placed into loving new homes in 2017 Adoption counselors help match the right

Vaccine clinics are offered to provide low cost vaccines to the public Provided low cost vaccines to over 8,000 pets in 2017
