PO Box 3143 Regina, SK S4P 3G7 Phone: (306) Fax: (306) Dear Friends, I am often asked by people what they can do to help the animals in our care. I know at times they, perhaps like you, feel helpless, but there is something you can do right now to help. By supporting the 2017 Holiday Catalogue and donating items or services for the animals instead (or in addition to) providing gifts for your friends and family, you ll make an immediate difference. You ll also have the satisfaction of knowing that your gift will keep working throughout the year as we care for the over 4,000 animals who may find themselves in need of shelter and care in Since being introduced in 2009, the gifts provided to animals through this catalogue by people like you have made an incredible difference in the lives of homeless animals. From bottle feeding formula for newborn kittens and puppies to soothing warm water beds for traumatically injured animals, your chosen gifts are a meaningful way to truly celebrate the spirit of giving. I hope this holiday season you ll give a gift that really matters. With gratitude, For Dog Lovers... 4 For Cat Lovers... 6 For the Benefit of All Animals... 8 Special Gifts...13 Upcoming Events...14 Order Form...15 Order online at Below: Vanillope was found orphaned and alone on a cold October day at just two weeks old. Thanks to your support, she received the care she needed including kitten milk replacement, veterinary care and the love of a foster family before being adopted. Lisa Koch Executive Director, Regina Humane Society P.S. Once we receive your order we'll send back to you a beautiful Regina Humane Society card and envelope. This holiday card will list which item or service you have donated and can be given or mailed to the person you are wishing to honour. Above: Three month old Georgia was brought to the RHS with a broken leg. She received the help she needed to recover because of donors who purchased emergency care through this catalogue.

Provide a Forever Home by sponsoring the adoption fee of a homeless animal The dream of every animal that comes through the doors of the Regina Humane Society is a lasting and loving home. Launched in 2011, the Sponsored Adoption Program has quickly proven to be one of the best methods to increase adoptions and lifesaving efforts at the Shelter. The adoption fee at the RHS offsets the costs for a number of critical services including spay/neutering, vaccinations, tattoo, microchip and care received while at the Shelter. By paying for the adoption fee, you ll feel great knowing that your support is immediately being put to work to find a homeless dog a quality home while also allowing us to continue our needed work. Dog Adoption Sponsorship $220 Put a Smile on a Dog s Face by donating rawhides and treats or Kongs Life in a shelter environment can be challenging which is why every comfort of home provided can go a long way in keeping homeless dogs happy and healthy. A rawhide to chew and yummy treats to taste provide happy moments for animals as they await adoption. The addition of durable plastic chew toys such as Kongs, which are always in demand at the Shelter, provide dogs with many hours of enjoyment as they seek out hidden treats or food frozen inside. Support a Week s Stay at the Shelter for a dog while they wait for a home From feeding, walking, cleaning, playing and providing medical attention, taking care of all the animals at the Shelter is a 24 hour a day job! Support a week s worth of care for a dog waiting for a home and feel good knowing that they will receive the best care possible until adopted. One Week Shelter Stay for a Dog $75 Rawhides and Treats $20 Large Size Kong $10 Make Walks More Enjoyable by gifting an easy walk harness Learning to walk calmly on a harness and leash is a critical skill for dogs. Often dogs at the Shelter haven t been taught loose leash walking and we rely on our volunteers to help with this process. By donating an easy walk harness, you re providing an easy to wear and use tool that allows dogs to be walked and exercised safely while awaiting adoption. Easy Walk Harness $35 Provide a Good Night s Sleep by donating a Kuranda Bed Our shelter pets deserve all the comforts of home while they await their special someone. A cozy alternative to sleeping on a cold, hard surface, Kuranda beds provide dogs with a soft, dry, off the floor place to relax. The calming effect reduces stress levels thus promoting adoption. Kuranda Dog Bed $75 Help a Dog Find a New Start by providing a transport kennel The hope we have for each animal is a loving home. Every animal comes with their own unique story and sometimes, unfortunately, that story isn t always positive. As a result, some dogs require long term treatment or rehabilitation outside of what the Shelter can provide. With the support of our on-staff Behaviourist, we work to find these dogs the very best placements to ensure success. Your gift of a transportation kennel will help these very special dogs complete the first step in their journey to a forever home. Transport Kennel $100 For dog lovers

Donate Cat Nip and Toys and help keep our cats entertained at the Shelter Used for centuries to lift the spirits of cats and keep them entertained, we use cat nip filled toys to help our felines overcome boredom and increase play while awaiting adoption. Your gift of cat nip will allow us to stock up on an item that is frequently in demand but low in supply. Plus you ll make thousands of cats more joyful all throughout the year! Cat Nip and Toys $15 Donate a Bag of Non-Clumping Cat Litter and help keep our cats healthy Every year thousands of cats depend on the Regina Humane Society for care which means we use a lot of litter! We use non-clumping litter which allows for easier monitoring of potential illnesses or health issues. Your gift of a bag of this litter helps lower operating costs so we can do even more to help homeless animals in our community. Non-Clumping Cat Litter $20 Provide a Good Night s Sleep by providing a soft cat bed and blanket Our shelter pets deserve all the comforts of home while they await their special someone. A cozy alternative to sleeping on a cold, hard surface, a soft and warm cat bed along with a blanket provides shelter cats with a soft, dry and comforting place to relax. The calming effect reduces stress levels promoting adoption. Cat Bed and Blanket $30 Provide a Forever Home by sponsoring the adoption fee of a homeless cat The dream of every animal that comes through the doors of the Regina Humane Society is a lasting and loving home. By paying for the adoption fee, you ll feel great knowing that your support is immediately being put to work to find a homeless cat a quality home while also allowing us to continue our needed work. Help a Cat Adoption Sponsorship $150 Support a Week s Stay at the Shelter for a cat while they wait for a home From feeding, walking, cleaning, playing and providing medical attention, taking care of all the animals at the Shelter is a 24 hour a day job! Support a week s worth of care for a cat waiting for a home and feel good knowing that they will receive the best care possible until adopted. Cat in Need be Adopted by providing professional grooming supplies We receive hundreds of cats a year that are in desperate need of grooming. Far beyond the typical bath, these cats have often been neglected for years and are experiencing serious health and skin issues due to extensive matting. By providing professional grooming supplies for our staff, you won t just be helping cats to feel better, you ll be greatly increasing their chances of being adopted. Cat Grooming Supplies $40 One Week Shelter Stay for a Cat $50 For cat lovers

Add Some Fun Help Silent Victims of Domestic Violence by providing shelter animals with enrichment toys by providing refuge for an animal needing a temporary home It can be a long wait to be adopted and every dog and cat needs to have access to things that make their stay at the Shelter easier. The gift of enrichment toys go a long way to make that happen. With fun toys our animals benefit immediately from your thoughtfulness. Enrichment Toys $25 Animals are often the silent victims of domestic abuse and when an individual decides to leave a violent situation, most often they have nowhere to house their pets. Through the Safe Places Program, the Regina Humane Society provides screened foster families and all the items the animals need so they can be safe and free from violence. Safe Places One Month Stay Prevent Life Threatening Illness Give a WarmWater Blanket by providing critical vaccinations Unfortunately, not all animals that come into our safekeeping have been given basic medical care. Your gift of vaccinations for an animal at the Shelter will ensure the health and safety of not only the animals, but the members of the public who come into contact with them. Vaccinations $100 and provide comfort for injured or elderly animals For our injured or elderly animals, a circulating warm water blanket can provide significant relief from arthritis or after surgery pain. The gift of a water blanket is a great way to provide a comforting rest to animals who are hurting. Warm Water Blanket $25 $50 Bring Joy to an Individual in Palliative Care by donating a Pet Therapy visitation Studies have shown that when dogs and cats come to visit a care facility, there is more laughter and interaction among residents than during any other "therapy" or entertainment time. Couple that with the happiness our animals receive by getting much needed love and attention and it s no surprise how popular our Pet Therapy Program is. Pet Therapy Visit 8 $25 For the benefit of all animals... 9

Maintain Good Health by providing nutritional soft food The Regina Humane Society is fortunate that all dry food is provided to the Shelter by Horizon Pet Nutrition free of charge but is often short of critically needed soft food. By providing our animals with access to high quality soft food in addition to their dry food you ll be making sure they are happier, healthier and one step closer to finding a home. One Week Soft Food for One Cat and One Dog $30 Help Orphan Puppies and Kittens Survive by providing bottle feeding formula Every year hundreds of orphaned puppies and kittens who are found helpless and alone depend on the staff and volunteers at the Shelter to survive. By gifting much needed feeding formula, you ll provide these vulnerable animals the chance at survival by receiving the critical nutrition they need. Bottle Feeding Formula $50 Provide ablood Count Screening and help ill animals recover By providing the supplies necessary to conduct a blood count screening for ill animals, you ll help our Veterinary team find out why the animal is sick and what the best treatment is to help them. Provide the Gift of a Specialized Diet to help pets recovering from surgery or other medical conditions Veterinary diets are specifically formulated to meet the needs of pets that are living with on-going health issues such as skin conditions, allergies and obesity as well assisting those who are recovering from injuries or surgery. By donating a supply of this food to the animals with special needs at the Shelter, you ll be helping them heal faster and, in turn, be adopted sooner. Veterinary Food $250 Blood Count Screening $20 Help Animals Who Need Emergency Care by supporting the Faith Fund Many animals arrive at the Shelter in need of emergency care due to car accidents, neglect or abuse. The Faith Fund provides the money needed to save these animals lives by providing the critical emergency veterinary care they need, and the aftercare required, to ensure they are adopted into a happy and loving home. Emergency Veterinary Care $500 For the benefit of all animals

Give the Smallest Animals Hope Special Gifts and provide for their care until they find a home We help all types of animals at the Regina Humane Society including rabbits, hamsters, birds, ferrets and gerbils. With your support, we can provide these critters with the special care they require including appropriate living spaces, food and toys until they are adopted. Rabbit, Bird and Critter Care Fund an Animal RehabilitationTransport and provide a second chance at happiness $15 Celebrate and Share Success by purchasing a 2018 Regina Humane Society Calendar The 2018 Calendar features the stories of extraordinary animals that have overcome adversity with a little help from the Regina Humane Society and are now happily living with their new families. This calendar makes a great add-on to include for your gift recipient! 2018 Calendar $10 (Plus $3 S/H) With So Many Options, I Can t Decide so please use my donation where it is needed most All donations given through this option will be used by the Regina Humane Society in the area of greatest need. We ll still provide you with a card to give to your gift recipient and you ll have the satisfaction of knowing you ve helped our animals in the greatest way possible. Area of Most Critical Need 12 $ For the benefit of all animals... By funding an animal rehabilitation transport, you ll be providing everything an animal needs to start their journey to a new home. The animals that participate in this program are in need of long term rehabilitation outside of what the Shelter can provide. By partnering with other animal welfare organizations across Canada that are able to provide the support these animals need, your gift will ensure each participant has access to airfare and the supplies needed for their fresh start. Animal Transport $800 Provide a Warm Air Recovery Blanket and increase comfort for dogs after surgery A warm air recovery blanket is a specialized veterinary system for the postoperative care of dogs. It is critical for patient comfort after spays, neuters and other surgeries. It also prevents hypothermia, which is a potentially serious complication of anesthesia. Unlike heating pads, there is no risk of burns due to its high tech temperature regulation system. With the potential to be used multiple times each day, this is a gift that will truly have a tremendous positive impact on the dogs in our care. Air Recovery Blanket $2000 Special Gifts... 13
