2 About About Black Tie & Tails Black Tie and Tails is one of the Baltimore Humane Society s largest fundraising events and is the only black tie event in the region where guests are encouraged to bring their pets. This gala event features an elegant seated dinner, open bar, music, a live and silent auction, and an award presentation to national and local animal welfare heroes. This year s event will take place on Saturday, April 13th from 6 PM until 10 PM at the Grand Lodge in Hunt Valley. About Your Sponsorship The Baltimore Humane Society seeks sponsors and advertisers for this event. Your support will be used to further our mission to provide care and temporary shelter for unwanted or homeless animals and to place each animal that comes to our shelter into a loving, permanent home. In recognition, you will receive logo placement at the event, on the Black Tie and Tails webpage, and in the event s printed materials. Additionally, you will receive advertising space in the Black Tie and Tails program book. About the Baltimore Humane Society In 1927, Elsie Seeger Barton founded the Humane Society of Baltimore County, now known as the Baltimore Humane Society (BHS.) Since that time, Mrs. Barton s selfless dream of establishing a refuge for abused and homeless animals has come to fruition, situated on 365 acres of peaceful farmland in Reisterstown, Maryland. Over the years, BHS has found safe and loving forever homes for thousands of wonderful animals, as well as provided low-cost Spay/Neuter and Pet Wellness services to the community in our Veterinary Center. In addition, the Baltimore Humane Society Pet Cemetery provides a final resting place for many beloved pets. Finally, 343 unused acres of our property serve as a nature preserve, alive with deer, fox, several species of birds, and numerous other types of local wildlife. BHS also offers many special programs to help both animals and people, such as our Pet Food Bank, Humane Education, Read to the Animals, visits to Stella Maris long term care residents, and free Pet and free Pet Bereavement Counseling Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown, MD bmorehumane.org
