2 About the Front Street Animal Shelter Our Mission We attempt to save them all, because they are all worth saving! The mission of the Front Street Animal Shelter is to save the lives of stray, abandoned, and abused animals and find them loving forever homes. Our Success At the Front Street Animal Shelter, we give animals a second chance. Through our partnership with rescue groups, local foster families and other shelters, we have clearly distinguished ourselves as the region s leader in saving animals. Our success would not be possible without the tireless and dedicated work of our staff and volunteers - and the support of the community. Working together, we have saved thousands of animals. You can help, too! My name is Smiles... I was hit by a car and then brought to the Front Street Animal Shelter. I had a broken leg and was in a lot of pain. Thanks to dona ons from someone just like you even a broken dog like me can find a forever home. My foster mom ended up adop ng me and we are both all smiles! Our Vision Our Vision is to remain the Sacramento region s leader in saving the lives of animals. With your sponsorship, we will continue to provide the care and services that abandoned and abused animals need. Together we will help them have a happy ending. Our vision extends beyond the border of the shelter we want to improve the welfare of animals throughout our community and provide resources for community members in need. Why we are Unique We are not afraid to try new things to help save lives. In the past year, we have flown hundreds of animals to no-kill shelters in Oregon and Idaho. We have participated in 97 different off-site adoption events. We made a difference! The Front Street Animal Shelter is proud to offer the following community programs and opportunities: We offer a free or low-cost spay or neuter program for low income pet owners. Our animal control team was recognized by local media for excellence in prosecuting animal abuse, cruelty, and neglect cases. In partnership with other organizations, we operate Titanic s Pantry (a free pet food bank for those who are experiencing difficulty feeding their pets during hard economic times). We give out 3,000-5,000 pounds of food each week to hungry pets! We operate a monthly Vaccination Clinic providing low cost or no cost vaccination to low-income pet owners in Sacramento. With your support We will continue to save lives! Your sponsorship is a crucial part of our success.
