2 THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING US! On November 3, 2018, Dorchester Paws will host the 1 st Annual Top Dog 5K Walk/Run honoring service animals, held at Nexton. OUR MISSION Dorchester Paws strives to instill humane principles into society through the prevention of cruelty to animals. OUR VISION We envision a world where every animal goes on the journey from victim to victory. 3 WHAT IS THE TOP DOG 5K? The Top Dog 5K is a fundraising event that honors animals who are part of the service industry. From police dogs, firefighting dogs, PTSD service animals, Autism service animals and more, this event shines a spotlight on animals who serve. The Top Dog 5K appeals to running enthusiasts, animal lovers and anybody who has been affected by a service animal. The goal of this special honorary event is to educate the public on the importance of service animals and bring to light the service and dedication of animals that give their lives to serving others. THE RACE The Top Dog 5K Run/Walk course is USATF certified. In addition to the 5K Run/Walk, there will also be a kids fun run and timed 1 mile dog and handler race. Each participant will receive swag, including a knitted cap, water bottle and medal. HOW ARE SERVICE ANIMALS AND DORCHESTER PAWS CONNECTED? The special bond that is created between a service animal and its handler is similar to the bond between an adopted animal and its owner. Some animals that have passed through the doors at Dorchester Paws have gone through training to become service dogs for police departments, therapy and respite cats for seniors and much more after adoption. WHY SHOULD I BECOME A SPONSOR? The Top Dog 5K is the only event in the Tri-county area putting a spotlight on animals who serve. This event is anticipated to host over 500 attendees with hopes of growing each year. At all of our events, we maximize our sponsors exposure. Our marketing campaign for the Top Dog 5K will give your company exposure on multiple platforms, placing your company at the forefront of the community to show your support for animals and service. PRINT Sponsors receive placement on printed, promotional and advertising materials corresponding to your level of sponsorship. MEDIA The Top Dog 5K will be featured on local news and radio outlets. We also partner with the Post & Courier, Charleston City Paper, Lowcountry Dog Magazine, Summerville Journal Scene and more. ONLINE Sponsors will have their logos displayed on marketing campaigns, web pages and social media with hyperlinks. Our social media and marketing reaches over 16,000 people, with over 20,000 views of the website monthly.

6 BECAUSE OF YOU Over 3,200 lost, abandoned, sick, abused and neglected animals come through our doors each year. Upon intake, it costs at least 100 per animal to prepare them for adoption. It is an additional 25 per day per animal to provide proper care. Your sponsorship fuels our commitment to taking care of each and every animal in our shelter so that they all can go on the journey from victim to victory. FOUND FUREVER HOMES Thanks to your donation, Dorchester Paws we found homes for over 1,700 animals. FOSTER HEROES Thanks to your donation, Dorchester Paws could provide supplies for over 1,000 animals in foster homes. REUNITE LOST PETS MEDICAL CARE Thanks to your donation, Dorchester Paws covered the medical care of over 2,000 animals, including spay/neuter surgeries and outside veterinary care.
