3 NEW PURCHASERS AND CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT All lots must be paid for on the day of sale. No credit will be given. Any prospective purchasers unknown to the Auctioneers and wishing to pay by cheque must make arrangements with the Auctioneers prior to the sale day. A facility will be available for card payment on the day. PAYMENT FACILITIES Payment facilities by debit card will be available on site and also a facility for credit card payments (subject to 2.45% charge on the purchaser). 11 A consignment of 15 Bulling and Maiden Heifers from the Lamaston Herd of Pedigree Welsh Black Cattle have been entered for the inaugural sale of native and rare breeds. The Lamaston herd was formed in the early 1900 many years before the first volume of the Welsh Black Herd Book and was then and still remains a closed herd only purchasing bulls when required. The herd was owned by the late Mr and Mrs Eric Davies and after their retirement sale in 1977 a portion of the herd was retained and is now owned and managed by Mr and Mrs Davies daughter Susan Jones and family. There are further entries of pedigree Welsh Black Cattle from the high health status Deiniolen and Llwynog herds.

23 CONDITIONS OF SALE 1. Unless stated at the time of sale, Value Added Tax at the standard rate will be added to the purchase price of all items bought this sale by Purchasers in the United Kingdom (this includes Northern Ireland) and the amount will be clearly shown on the Purchaser s account. The only exception to this will be in the case of zero rated or exempt articles. Overseas buyers who arrange their own shipments will be required to deposit with the Auctioneers the equivalent percentage of the purchase price, which will be refunded when the Auctioneers received from them, within three months, a Bill of Landing or Certificate of Shipment from the Shipping Company or Transport Company as proof of shipment from H.M. Customs & Excise. 2. The highest bidder to be the buyer, and if any dispute arises respecting any bidding, the Lot to be put up again at the Auctioneer s discretion. 3. The bidding to be regulated by the Auctioneers. 4. The Purchasers to give in their names and places of abode and pay down a deposit of 20% (if required). In default of which the Lot or Lots so purchased to be immediately put up again and resold. No Lots to transferable and all accounts to be settled at close of the sale. 5. To prevent inaccuracy in the delivery and inconvenience in the settlement of purchases, no Lot must be removed during the Sale, or without being previously paid for. 6. If any person neglects or refuses to comply with any of the foregoing conditions, the Auctioneers shall be at liberty to re-sell the Lot uncleared within the time specified by Public Auction or Private Sale, and any deficiency that may arise in the resale, together with all expenses attending it shall be made god by the defaulter at the Sale. 7. The Auctioneers shall not be responsible for any damage done by animals prior, during or after the Sale. 8. Every Lot is sold with all faults and errors of descriptions and the Auctioneers disclaim for themselves and for the Vendor all responsibility for authenticity, age, origin, condition or quality. All statements on such matters whether or not printed in the catalogue or made orally are statements of opinion and not representations of fact. The Purchasers are deemed to have satisfied themselves on the authenticity, condition, etc. before bidding and no-one in the Auctioneers employment has any authority to make any representation of fact. THE HEALTH & SAFETY AT WORK ACT 1974 THE AGRICULTURAL (FIELD MACHINERY) REGULATIONS AGRICULTURAL (TRACTOR CABS) REGULATIONS 1974 AND ALL OTHER ACTS & REGULATIONS APPLICABLE TO FARM SAFETY. Purchasers are reminded of the provisions of the above Acts regarding the safeguarding of machinery and implements and that some of the machinery sold at this sale may not immediately comply with the Regulations laid down in the Acts and Regulations and accordingly it is a condition of the contract of sale that Purchasers shall undertake ON THE DAY of the sale to comply with the Acts and Regulations relating to such machinery and implements as he shall purchase. 10. Udder Warranty. Any Cow or Heifer in milk at the time of sale will carry a two hour warranty that she is sound in udder and teats at the time of sale. If the animal is shown not to be so sound within the time limit then the sale will be cancelled. 11. The sale will be conducted under the Livestock Auctioneers Association of England and Wales Rules.
