Paws for Love Foundation We can t save every animal in the world but we can give the world to every animal we save. Art Paws A Note from Ellyn Midway through summer is perhaps a good time to reflect on our adventures where we have been, where we are going. We traveled to Wyoming, where we met dogs and cats at the Adoption Center who were rescued from various heart wrenching circumstances throughout the West. At Compassion Without Borders in Santa Rosa, we met little lost souls who are now found, healed, and destined to be loved. We will proudly display all their paintings at our 2019 Twentieth Anniversary Gala! We have granted funding for mill dog rescues, abandoned cats, broken hips, broken jaws, and broken hearts. Where are we going now? Well, until the smoke clears (and for some time after), we will be on hand to assist financially with petvictims of the recent and ongoing fires in our area. Hundreds of pets have been evacuated, REevacuated, lost, abandoned, or otherwise displaced. A frantic scramble for foster homes resulted in sheltering pets, out of harm s way for now. Paws for Love and Kokomo Winery have decided to benefit pet victims of the fires (and their rescuers) with the proceeds of this year s Artsy Dogs of Kokomo coming up soon! So, if your dog has not yet painted for Paws for Love, this will be a great time to have your Pawcasso create a masterpiece and help support fire victims at the same time! Watch for us in September when we return to West Wines for Barks & Art in the Vineyard and the world famous Wine Barrel Dash! A special day for you and your dog, and an important fundraiser for our organization. October will mark the end of summer, but not the end of Paws for Love fun! At Montgomery Village, the last Concert Under the Stars of the season will take place Paws for Love will benefit from the beverage sales. Also in October as the vineyards are dressing up in fall colors we will be dressing in black and white when White Oak Winery presents a Black & White Ball! To our volunteers and sponsors, we thank you for your support throughout the year, and we are truly grateful to those of you who attend our summer and fall events bringing your talented dogs to paint with us - and telling their stories. Every dollar from these paintings goes to help an at-risk animal in need. Together, we are saving the lives of many. * * * Put a paw print on your calendar for the 20 th Annual Paws for Love!
