Betsy Molony Award of Horticulture Excellence This award is given in memory of Ms. Elizabeth (Betsy) Molony, a true and dear friend to the Western Carolina State Fair for 24 years. She assisted the fair with nearly every aspect of operations but she is best remembered for her dedicated service in the horticulture department. The Aiken Fair may not have the largest horticulture display, but she was determined to see that it would be one of the best - and to us it is. The memories we have of her and the beautiful flower and plant shows that she directed at the fair will forever remain a part of our event and our lives. Betsy, thank you for sharing a special part of your life with us. The Western Carolina State Fair Exhibits Committee 14
