1 WELCOME MESSAGE On behalf of KRISS, I would like to welcome you to Korea, and thank you for your participation in APMP The Asia Pacific Metrology Programme has been a productive foundation for the cooperation of the Asia-Pacific region NMIs as well as for metrology researchers and experts to exchange ideas and improve our regional measurement capabilities. We are delighted to host the 30th APMP General Assembly and Related Meetings, and always consider it a great pleasure to haveour friends and colleagues from around the world here in Daejeon. I hope that fruitful outcomes will be achieved through intense discussions and vast information sharing. We have also prepared this year s APMP Symposium to commemorate the 30th APMP General Assembly, focusing on the journey we have had for more than 30 years as a successful regional metrology organization, and on the future cooperation needed within the metrology community, and also with other areas of standards and metrology. I hope this event will give us more insight and inspiration to continue our endeavors and cooperation in the future.
