Health Certificate: Every sheep will have a health certificate available upon request. Guarantee: Every ewe selling as a bred ewe in this sale that fails to lamb in 2018 will have 20% of the purchase price refunded. All ewes sold as bred and failing to lamb must be reported to the seller by April 1, Ewes selling as exposed are not guaranteed bred. Bergs Dakota 1709 Sire: Knutson Suffolks Dam: Berg 1427 Dakota is sired by our pick of the Knutson ram lambs in He placed 2nd in class at the NJSS in He sired the Jr. Champ and Reserve Champ Bred and Owned Ram at the 2017 NJSS. Dakota s two half sisters were 2nd place ewe lambs at the NJSS. Dakota combines volume, a level top and thickness with bone and structural correctness. Berg ewes will be bred to this proven ram. 2. Bergs Ox GWC Sire: KC Suffolks 12-1 Dam: GWC KC Suffolks 12-1 goes back to Northern Connection and a KJ Lansing ewe. GWC goes back to a Silver Dollar ewe GWC was Champion Ram at the MN State Fair in We have leased this ram in 2016 and 2017 and have some great March lambs. Berg ewes will be bred to him. 3. Bergs Pretty Boy GWC Sire: Kjeldgaard Dam: GWC Pretty Boy sired Berg 1739, Champ Ram at the MN State Fair FFA Show, and 2nd place NJSS. He sired Berg 1740, the Reserve Ewe at MN State Fair FFA Show and Class Winner at NJSS. He sired 1733, the Reserve Champion Ewe at the MN State Show. Daughters sell open. Yearling ewes sell bred to Pretty Boy. 4. Bendas Oak Hill GWC Sire: Kjelgaard Becher 2571 Dam: Oak Hill Oak Hill C This is our latest addition from the famed Oak Hill program. Everyone has seen the Oak Hill yearling ewes come through the ring in Sedalia the last few years and they have been very highly received. This ram comes from arguably Pat s best ewe family. He has the size, pattern and structure we are looking for, and is out of a great 1411 daughter. We are super excited about mating him to the 1353 and Rocky daughters. 5. Benda JEP Sire: Prairie Rose Suffolks Prairie Rose Suffolks 712 Benda Hammerdown Dam: Benda Meyer Farms 5202 This is the other Rocky son that we kept back for stud. We got a really good, consistent set of lambs out of him. Just like Rocky they are big, heavy boned, thick topped, good patterned and great feet and legs. The 210 ewe is proving to be tremendous as well. She has a gem of a lamb out of Benda 1612 Swaggy P Sire: Prairie Rose Suffolks Prairie Rose Suffolks 712 Hoskins Dam: Dombek Family 2599 Dombek Family 2359 One of the two stud rams that we retained out of Prairie Rose Rocky. Like I said in my remarks last year, the only thing bad about Rocky is that he is dead. He left us with a group of daughters that are big, thick topped, good patterned and structurally sound sired a nice group of lambs for us this spring. He sired them just like his daddy.
