Hi I m Sue Smith and I hail from the rotten little town of Perris, California. First let me say good luck to all exhibitors. Enjoy yourselves and have good time.

I have bred whippets on a very limited basis over those years. I have strived for Dual Titled whippets in both the ring and on the coursing field.

3 Hi I m Sue Smith and I hail from the rotten little town of Perris, California. First let me say good luck to all exhibitors. Enjoy yourselves and have good time. It s always fun to be out with our dogs. Now a little bit about me, I have been involved with whippets for over 35 years (Wow, I can t believe it s been that long). I have bred whippets on a very limited basis over those years. I have strived for Dual Titled whippets in both the ring and on the coursing field. I also have bred several Dual Champion whippets and in multiple countries. I am an AKC Coursing Judge (15 Years) as well as an ASFA Coursing Judge (30 Years). I am also an AKC Confirmation Judge (15 Years). I have held multiple positions with many of the local whippet clubs including the Cascade Whippet Club, the Western Washington Whippet Association, and the Lower Columbia Lure Coursing Association. I was active with the American Whippet Club and served as the Top 20 Show Chairman. I also served as the Local Show Chair for the American Whippet Club National Show in Olympia, WA in I am honored to be here and want to wish all the exhibitors happy coursing and good luck at the National. Charles Roberts Oregon City, Oregon I ve been involved with lure coursing since 1981, when I got my first Sighthound, a Saluki. Baashiq was a wonderful dog, incredibly keen, and never learned to share the lure his most shining moment in lure coursing being when I had to chase him around for 20 minutes after he decided that the other dog he was running with MUST DIE At the very next event, I brought him out to run him alone for practice, and low and behold there was an ex-pen full of the most charming puppies Whippets. Ann Billups handed me one of the pups and said walk him around to help socialize him so I did. A wonderful little brindle and white boy, not afraid of anything, and willing to love and kiss anyone. At the end of the day, I gave him back to Ann, with sadness in my heart. That pup crooked his paw and wrapped himself around my little finger. Next weekend, at the next event, I asked her if he was available. He was, and came home with me that day. Judges Sue Smith Perris, California He became formally known as BOB N JUST A GIGOLO Jiggs. Named after the David Lee Roth song popular at the time Just A Gigolo he was my greatest pride and joy and my greatest frustration. He was incredibly keen, as long as it was after a rabbit or coming out of a starting box. Lure coursing was something he dabbled in I never knew from time to time if he would go past the first pulley J He loved obedience, just as long as it was his way Jiggs eventually got his CD. And most importantly, he was the foundation for my love of Whippets. Over the years, I have run a number of my own dogs, and have run dogs for others. I ve owned two Turkey Run Best of The Best winners, an AKC NLCC BOB winner (okay, it was my Saluki), and have a number of specialty trial winners as well. I firmly believe that form follows function and that the pretty dogs should run too. I ve worked in the renewable energy arena for the last seven years. My company facilitates organic waste to energy projects, and sell scientific equipment and instruments for the biogas industry. I currently share my home with one Italian Greyhound Sasha. There will be a Whippet again in the future.
