2 NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List. The AKC will collect a $1.50 AKC Event Service Fee and 50 cent Recording Fee for the first entry of a dog in all AKC licensed and member dog shows, obedience trials, and tracking tests. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Event/Recording Fees to be collected on the first entry only. (AKC Rule. Ch.11, Sec. 2). In accordance with AKC Rally regulations, the AKC will collect a $3.00 per entry of dog Rally Event Service Fee. A show-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Recording Fees and Event Service Fees for AKC. CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTERNA- TIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or its Superintendent assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner s agent. RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPLETENESS OF ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH THE ENTRANT. Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fee for bitches in season. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. The Superintendent will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. The Superintendent will add a $20.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor or agent may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS. REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs. Entries will be acknowledged after entries close with entry acknowledgment and judging program to address on entry. Should Exhibitor NOT receive an acknowledgment within a reasonable time, PLEASE notify the Superintendent at (360) or dogshows@barayevents.com. LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. FAX ENTRIES Fax entries will be accepted up to closing time. Fee is $4.00 per dog per show. If the credit card charge is denied for any reason, an additional service charge of $20.00 will be added. FAX NUMBER: (360) This is for Fax Machine ONLY. Incomplete or illegible Fax entries are not acceptable as a valid entry in a show. Proof of transmission is not proof of receipt of a legible or complete transmission (under AKC Rule Ch. 11, Sec. 4). A Fax-Friendly entry blank PDF is available for download at TROPHIES & PRIZES will be awarded in the ring to the person exhibiting the dog. No awards will be mailed. All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. Winners of the above classes, if otherwise undefeated at this show, will compete for Best of Breed. NOTE: Dogs defeated in these classes may not compete for Best of Breed even if they were additionally entered in the Best of Breed class. (No championship points are awarded for these classes.) BEST OF BREED COMPETITION The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a Championship but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a Championship according to the owners records. Veterans Exhibition: (13 year old and over) Dogs must be AKC registered. Class will follow Veteran s Classes, but dogs entered in this class are NOT eligible for BOB competition. Dog may be presented for examination at owner s discretion. Entry should be accompanied by a 3x5-card description of the dog s lifetime achievements to be read in ring by the steward. Non-Regular Classes (Involving multiple dog entries) STUD DOG CLASS: For Stud Dogs and a minimum of two, and no more than four of their get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. The owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard for its breed. Get must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed competition, or some other non-regular class. BROOD BITCH CLASS: Same as Stud Dog Class, except for the following two changes: Substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog, and substitute Produce for Get. BRACE CLASS: Two dogs that are similar in appearance, performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of two handlers. Both dogs competing in brace competition must have at least one common owner. The Dogs comprising a Brace MUST be named at the time of entry. In making entries for Brace Class Only full particulars MUST be given for each dog on individual entry forms. If more than one Brace is entered by same owner, dogs comprising EACH BRACE must be designated Brace No. 1, Brace No. 2, etc. Team Class: Same as Brace Class, except for the following change: Substitute Two dogs for Four dogs. NOTE: As the judge s decision in the Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Brace or Team Class is based on the merits of more than one dog/bitch, no one of the dogs/bitches making up the entry judged first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. 8 FUTURITY Judge: Shelby Russell-Diaz futurity stake rules and regulations The Futurity Stake is exclusively for the competition of Basenji puppies, six (6) months and under eighteen (18) months of age at the date of the Futurity. Only puppies from nominated bitches, and with enrollment kept up-to-date, are eligible for the futurity stake at the show. Division must be noted on entry blank as an additional class. Futurity Classification Division 1: Puppy Dogs: 6 months & under 7.5 months Puppy Bitches: 6 months & under 7.5 months (Puppies born 12/19/06 through 02/03/07) Division 2: Puppy Dogs: 7.5 months & under 9 months Puppy Bitches: 7.5 months & under 9 months (Puppies born 11/04/06 through 12/18/06) Division 3: Puppy Dogs: 9 months & under 12 months Puppy Bitches: 9 months & under 12 months (Puppies born 08/04/06 through 11/03/06) Division 4: Senior Dogs: 12 months & under 18 months Senior Bitches: 12 months & under 18 months (Puppies born 02/04/06 through 08/03/06) Division 5: Bred-by Exhibitor Dogs: 6 months & under 18 months Bred-by Exhibitor Bitches: 6 months & under 18 months (Puppies born 02/04/06 through 02/03/07) The First Place winners will then compete for Best in Futurity. The Second Place winner to Best in Futurity will then return to the ring to compete for Reserve Best in Futurity. FUTURITY PRIZES Distribution of Prize Fund Futurity prize money will be calculated on the total of nomination fees received. Forty percent (40%) of the total prize money will be awarded to Best in Futurity and Reserve in Futurity on a two-thirds (2/3) to one third (1/3) ratio. The remaining sixty percent (60%) will be divided into a stake for each class based on the number of puppies actually entered in each class. A sum per dog shall be determined by dividing 60% of the total nomination fee received by the total number of entrants. Class stake shall be determined by multiplying the sum per dog by the number of dogs entered in the class. The stake for each class will then be divided as follows: Four (4) or more entries: 1st 40% 2nd 30% 3rd 20% 4th 10% Three (3) entries: 1st 50% 2nd 30% 3rd 20% Two (2) entries: 1st 60% 2nd 40% One (1) entry: 1st 100% NOTE: Any place money not awarded due to absence shall revert to The Evergreen Basenji Club, Inc. 8 - EVERGREEN BASENJI CLUB / ENTRIES CLOSE 7/18/07

9 MATURITY Judge: Shelby Russell-Diaz Maturity rules and regulations The Maturity as a part of The Evergreen Basenji Club Futurity is open to Basenjis that actually participated in the Evergreen Basenji Club Futurity the previous year. Basenjis shall be entered in the Evergreen Basenji Club Specialty Show and state the Maturity as an additional class. The classes will be divided into one class for dogs, with four (4) placements; and one class for bitches, with four (4) placements. The First Place winners will then compete for Best in Maturity. The Second Place winner to Best in Maturity will then return to the ring to compete for Reserve Best in Maturity. MATURITY PRIZES An amount equaling the total of all Maturity Class entry fees received will be divided with sixty percent (60%) going to Best in Maturity and forty percent (40%) going to Reserve Best in Maturity. To accommodate exhibitors who wish to use their own portable power generators for grooming, there will be a first come, first served grooming area designated for this purpose (generators may not be used outside of the designated grooming area). This grooming area will be within walking distance of the rings, but will not be directly on the field where the show rings and main grooming areas are located in respect of fellow exhibitors. Owners are responsible for errors in the entry forms, regardless of who may make such errors. THIS RULE IS BEING STRICTLY ENFORCED BY THE AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB. PLEASE CHECK YOUR ENTRIES CAREFULLY. Corrections to entries may be made by the Superintendent prior to the closing of entries if such correction is submitted in writing. 13 Parking Information Parking for this weekend is a privilege extended by WWHA and Argus Ranch Facility. WWHA and ARF reserve the right to withdraw this privilege from any person who abuses it. OBEY ALL PARKING SIGNS. All parking staff are volunteers. Thank you for treating them with courtesy. Abusive language towards the parking attendants may result in dismissal from the show. 1. Generator times: 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. 5. Requests to park together must arrive together in the same envelope. (May result in being farther from the rings). 6. Power/water requests are on a first come, first served basis. There are spaces available with power/ water hookups that are some distance from the rings. All reserved parking that is close to ringside DO NOT have hookups. All overnight parking in the Tahoma Lot that wishes to set up on Friday must do so BEFORE 8:00 AM or AFTER 1:00 PM due to Lure Coursing event. If you arrive during 8:00 AM-1:00 PM time frame, you will be routed to a Holding Area. If you are assigned in the Green River Lot, you may park at any time.
