2 NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List. The AKC will collect a $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee on each entry of a dog, and 50 cent Recording Fee for the first entry of a dog in all AKC licensed and member dog shows, obedience trials, and tracking tests. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Recording Fee to be collected on the first entry only. (AKC Rule. Ch.11, Sec. 2). In accordance with AKC Rally regulations, the AKC will collect a $3.00 per entry of dog Rally Event Service Fee. A show-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Recording Fees and Event Service Fees for AKC. CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTERNA- TIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or its Superintendent assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner s agent. RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPLETENESS OF ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH THE ENTRANT. RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. The Superintendent will add a $20.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor or agent may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS. REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. FAX ENTRIES Fax entries will be accepted up to closing time. Fee is $4.00 per dog per show. If the credit card charge is denied for any reason, an additional service charge of $20.00 will be added. FAX NUMBER: (360) This is for Fax Machine ONLY. Incomplete or illegible Fax entries are not acceptable as a valid entry in a show. Proof of transmission is not proof of receipt of a legible or complete transmission (under AKC Rule Ch. 11, Sec. 4). Should Exhibitor NOT receive an acknowledgment within a reasonable time, PLEASE notify the Superintendent at (360) or dogshows@barayevents.com. Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fee for bitches in season. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. The Superintendent will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. To find out about any AKC event cancellations call the AKC Event Cancellation Hotline Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs. LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. TROPHIES & PRIZES will be awarded in the ring to the person exhibiting the dog. No awards will be mailed. ALL RIGHTS TO TELEVISE, VIDEOTAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. The Club is not responsible for the actions or products of the commercial vendors at this show. Lure Coursing/Straight Racing Class Class for Dog and class for Bitches For AKC or AFSA coursing champions or racing champions Winners of the above classes, if undefeated, are eligible to compete for Best of Breed BEST OF BREED COMPETITION The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a Championship but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a Championship according to the owners records. Non-Regular Classes (Involving multiple dog entries) STUD DOG CLASS: For Stud Dogs and two of their get. Entry Fee: $18.50 for the Unit, in addition to any regular class entry fees. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. The owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard for its breed. Get must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed competition, or some other non-regular class. BROOD BITCH CLASS: For Brood Bitches and two of their Produce. Entry Fee: $18.50 for the Unit, in addition to any regular class enry fee. Brood Bitches must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and must be shown in the ring with their Produce. The owner of the Brood Bitch need not necessarily be owner of the Produce. While the merits of the Brood Bitch are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Brood Bitch must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard for its breed. Produce must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed competition, or some other non-regular class. NOTE: As the judge s decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch Classes is based on the merits of more than one dog/bitch, no one of the dogs/bitches making up the entry judged first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. BRACE CLASS: Two dogs that are similar in appearance, performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of two handlers. Both dogs competing in brace competition must have at least one common owner. The Dogs comprising a Brace MUST be named at the time of entry. An entry form for a dog entered in a Regular Class or for Best of Breed Competition and entered as part of a Brace MUST be marked accordingly in the space provided for Additional Classes, Brace Class. OPEN CLASS: For Boys and Girls who, at the time entries close, have won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Novice & OPEN ClassES divided: Junior-9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show; Intermediate-12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show; Senior-15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show. At a Specialty Show each dog must be of the breed for which the show is held. A dog that has been excused or disqualified by a Breed Judge or by a Bench Show Committee may still be handled in Junior Showmanship if eligible to compete in Obedience Trials. A dog that has been rejected, dismissed, or excused by the Veterinarian for the protection of the dog excused may not be handled in Junior Showmanship NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry. No puppy shall be entered whose age will be less than 6 months or greater than 18 months on the day of the judging. Take first Left into Argus Ranch and follow drive straight ahead to Arena and signed parking. FROM SR-169 NORTHBOUND: Turn Left onto SE Green Valley Rd. (in front of the Boondocks Nursery). FROM HWY. 410 OR WA-164: Turn Left on 244th Ave SE (approx. one mile out of Buckley). Go Straight at light on SE 436th Way/WA-164. Go Straight at stop sign (SE 416th St.). Go Straight at stop sign (SE 400th St.). Turn Left at stop sign onto SE 384th St. Turn Right at stop sign on 212th Way SE. Turn Right at Argus Ranch sign (just before bridge). Follow drive straight ahead to Arena and signed parking. PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO ELECTRICITY AVAILABLE AT THESE SHOWS. With the exception of paid overnight parking spaces, there will be no electricity available at these shows. To accommodate exhibitors who wish to use their own portable power generators for grooming, there will be a first come, first served grooming area designated for this purpose (generators may not be used outside of the designated grooming area). This grooming area will be within walking distance of the rings, but will not be directly on the field where the show rings and main grooming areas are located in respect of fellow exhibitors. 11 Parking Information Parking for this weekend is a privilege extended by WWHA and Argus Ranch Facility. WWHA and ARF reserve the right to withdraw this privilege from any person who abuses it. OBEY ALL PARKING SIGNS. All parking staff are volunteers. Thank you for treating them with courtesy. Abusive language towards the parking attendants may result in dismissal from the show. 1. Parking is at your own risk. Neither WWHA, ARF, the Specialty Clubs nor the Show Secretary assumes any responsibility or liability for damage or loss to any vehicle, its contents or dogs. 2. All parking is to be on the show grounds 3. Gates will open at 6:30 AM and close at 11:00 PM Friday thru Sunday 4. Unloading in designated areas only. A time limit per vehicle will be observed. 5. Handicap parking: both day and overnight spaces will be available on a limited basis. Proof of eligibility is required. DAY PARKING: No charge Friday and Saturday. SUNDAY $5.00 Tahoma Lot Enter on 212th Way SE. NOTE: There is no lure course on the field this year, so Friday parking will be located in the Tahoma lot off of 212th Way. HANDICAP PARKING: Enter in Tahoma Lot LOAD/UNLOAD: Enter Tahoma lot for South rings or Green River Lot for West end of rings OVERNIGHT PARKING: Pre-reserved $30.00 per night At the gate $40.00 per night (no guarantee of space) 1. Reservations must be postmarked on or before July 21, RV map with overnight assigned spaces at Main Entrance. If you arrive late, please find your assigned space number next to your name. 3. All RVs must be self contained. Anyone dumping gray water/sewage on grounds will be subject to a $ fine. 4. Generator times: 7 AM to 10 PM 5. Requests to park together must arrive together in the same envelope. (May result in being farther from the rings) 6. Power/water requests are on a first come, first served basis. There are spaces available with power/ water hookups some distance from the rings. All reserved parking that is close to ringside DO NOT have hookups.
