3 NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List. A RECORDING FEE will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. This Recording Fee is to be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Recording Fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule. Chapter 11, Section 2). CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/ or its Superintendent assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner s agent. THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPLETENESS OF ANY ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH THE ENTRANT. Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fee for bitches in season. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. The Superintendent will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. The Superintendent will add a $20.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor or agent may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS. REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. Only dogs eligible for this show will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs. The judging will start promptly. Dogs may arrive anytime prior to their time of judging, and may leave immediately thereafter, unless required for further judging. ENTRIES WILL BE ACKNOWLEDGED after entries close with entry acknowledgment and judging program to address on entry. Should Exhibitor NOT receive an acknowledgment within a reasonable time, PLEASE notify the Superintendent at (360) or dogshows@dbamlg.com. LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children on the day of the show. FAX ENTRIES Fax entries will be accepted up to closing time. Fee is $4.00 per dog per show. If the credit card charge is denied for any reason, an additional service charge of $20.00 will be added. FAX NUMBER: (360) This is for Fax Machine ONLY. The person handling the dog must be a breeder of record of the dog AND an owner of record of the dog. To exhibit in this class, family members must be a breeder AND owner of record. Non-Regular Classes (Involving single dog entries) Veteran Dogs Veteran Bitches A class for dogs and a class for bitches 7 years of age and over Versatile Dogs Versatile Bitches A class for dogs and a class for bitches who hold a versatile Rating Degree from the Weimaraner Club of America. Field Trial Dogs Field Trial Bitches A class for dogs and a class for bitches that have placed in an American Kennel Club Sanctioned or Licensed Field Trial or that have a Judge s Award of Merit. Winners of the above classes, if otherwise undefeated, are eligible to compete in Best of Breed Competition. BEST OF BREED COMPETITION: The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs that according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a Championship but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a Championship according to the owner s records. JUDGE S AWARD OF MERIT: Up to 4 Awards of Merit are offered at the judge s discretion. A Rosette will be offered for this event. Non-Regular Classes (involving multiple dog entries) STUD DOG CLASS: For Stud Dogs and TWO of their Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. The owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of the get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy or the standard for its Breed. Get must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed competition or some other non-regular class. BROOD BITCH CLASS: For Brood Bitch and TWO of their Produce. Brood Bitches must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and must be shown in the ring with their Produce. The owner of the Brood Bitch need not necessarily be owner of the Produce. While the merits of the Brood Bitch are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Brood Bitch must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy or the standard for its Breed. Produce must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed competition or some other non-regular class. NOTE: As the judge s decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch Class is based on the merits of more than one dog/bitch, not one of the dogs/bitches making up the entry judged first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. 4 WESTERN WASHINGTON WEIMARANER CLUB / ENTRIES CLOSE 8/6/2003

7 PARADE OF TITLEHOLDERS SATURDAY For all AKC Champions, Field Trial Champions, Hunting Titleists, Obedience Titleists, Agility Titleists and Tracking Titleists, plus those Weimaraners holding WCA awarded ratings of NRD, RD, RDX, NSD, SD, SDX, V, and VX. Dogs need not be entered in a regular class. Please include a brief (50 words or less) summary of the dog s accomplishments to be read during the Parade. A Rosette with the name of the dog imprinted will be presented to each entrant. SWEEPSTAKES SATURDAY Sweepstakes will precede conformation judging. Any purebred Weimaraner, 6 months of age and under 18 months of age and entered in the regular breed classes at this show is eligible. Entries in the Sweepstakes may be shown by anyone in good standing with the American Kennel Club. Entry fee is $12.00 for each dog and bitch entered in the Sweepstakes, in addition to regular entry fee. Entries must be made at the same time and on the same entry form as the regular classes. Indicate Sweepstakes (stating AGE/CLASS) in the space for Additional Classes. Sweepstakes Classification Puppy Dogs (6 mos. & under 9 mos.) Puppy Bitches (6 mos. & under 9 mos.) 8 JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION SATURDAY Novice Junior Class/Open Junior Class: At least 10 and under 14 years old Novice Senior Class/Open Senior Class: At least 14 and under 18 years old NOVICE: This class shall be for boys and girls who are at least 10 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN: This class shall be for boys and girls who are at least 10 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who have won three (3) first place awards in a Novice Class in a licensed or member show, with competition present. JUNIOR HANDLERS who win a third Novice Class shall automatically become eligible, upon notice to the Open Class ring steward, to enter and compete in the Open Class at the same show provided the win is the third (3 rd ) first place award with competition and further providing there are one or more Junior Handlers competing in the Open Class. Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition present after closing of entries for a show may transfer their entry from Novice Open Class provided that this transfer is made by the Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the scheduled start of any regular conformation judging or one half hour prior to the schedule start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show, whichever is earlier. All Junior Handlers are required to have an AKC number, contact AKC (212) or (212) for information. Also, all information required on both the front and back of the official AKC entry form must be included. TROPHIES SATURDAY All Trophies are offered by members and friends of the Western Washington Weimaraner Club. A complete list of donors will appear in the Catalog. Abusive language and other tactics will not be allowed and anyone unable to abide by the rules will be escorted off the premises without recourse or refund of fees. Anyone blocking the fire lanes, illegally parking in handicapped parking, driving/parking inside the show limits or tying up the load/ unload zone will pay a fine of $ and will be towed away at the owner s expense and risk. The Load/Unload Zone has a 15-MINUTE LIMIT. PLEASE OBSERVE! Handicapped parkers must have and display a current/valid state handicapped permit or vehicular license plate. We have limited handicapped parking and the loading zone CANNOT be used as an alternative. There are NO HOOK-UPS for overnighters. There will be NO discharge of ANY liquid on the grounds.
