2 From the Chapter Handbook In addition to the Chapter holding an annual Walk for PKD, Chapter Coordinators are asked to coordinate an additional fundraising event and/or activity annually. Two opportunities exist to fulfill this expectation: 1. Signature Chapter Fundraising Event 2. Promoting National Fundraising Initiatives We ll spend most of our time today on #2.

12 Vehicle Donation Donate your used vehicle and designate the funds to the PKD Foundation. Towing is free of charge. Receive documentation for tax purposes.
13 Vehicle Donation In 2014, 28 vehicles were donated for a total of $22,000. In 2015, the goal of this program is $30,000.
14 Workplace Giving Government employees have the opportunity to designate part of their paychecks to charity. Federal employees: CFC (Combined Federal Campaign, Sept. 1- Dec. 15) State employees: SECC (State Employee Charitable Campaign, varies by state) Government employees cannot be solicited at work.
15 Workplace Giving The Foundation is not a United Way agency, but it does receive gifts through the United Way donor designation program. Employees must write us in during the UW Campaign: Mid Sept.- Early Nov. We receive 75 to 90 percent of total contributions, after the United Way administrative fees are taken out.
16 Workplace Giving In 2014, Workplace Giving raised $231,968. In FY15 our goal has been revised downward due to the government shutdown s effect on the Combined Federal Campaign.
17 How You Can Help Monthly Promotional Kits Sent out the first Tuesday of every month Designed to have a good ROI Include: Social Media posts Talking Points and current calls to action Topic specific ideas Ex: Attend a DIY event, network with a local running group, share information about Workplace Giving at your workplace National Fundraising Support Award
