Hugh s son, Alan, continued the flock until 1985, when his son, Clive, took charge. Three ewes and two rams were imported from Scotland prior to WW1 and following WW2 three more rams were imported. Alan, Arthur Bryant (F1) and Rex Mexted (F2) were the leading trio in promoting and establishing the Cheviot Society. Recent rams to be introduced were bred by M Perry (F7), J Spellman (F229), K Nesdale (F239) and M McKelvie (F210). In ewes and 12 ewe hoggets were purchased from G Guise (F195). In 1975 a further 18 ewes were purchased from G Guise. In ewes were purchased from A & D Baker Trust (F194). The Kylemore stud of C Smith was purchased in In ewes were purchased from R Wilkinson (F273).
