Hugh s son, Alan, continued the flock until 1985, when his son, Clive, took charge. Three ewes and two rams were imported from Scotland prior to WW1 and following WW2 three more rams were imported. Alan, Arthur Bryant (F1) and Rex Mexted (F2) were the leading trio in promoting and establishing the Cheviot Society. In past years sires used were bred by M Perry (F7), J Spellman (F229), K Nesdale (F239) and M McKelvie (F210).
