5 Gold Mark - G.M. CORRIEDALE BREED INITIATIVES The aim of the Gold Mark scheme is to identify the top 10% of both rams & ewes, and ram hogget's within participating flocks by doing a cross flock analysis. This will be done by S.I.L. and the rankings will be on the D.P.I. The top 10% will then be inspected to meet breed standards and a gold tag placed in the ear. To qualify for Gold Mark 1) The Stud flock must be recorded on S.I.L. and the sires be in the top 10% for D.P.I. 2) Have enough links with one or more participating flocks 3) Breeders agree to have data analysed by the scheme and accept the results. Silver Mark - S.M. The aim of the Silver Mark scheme is to identify the next top 15% of rams after the top 10% of rams (Gold Mark) have been identified. Silver Mark rams are from the top 25% of rams in participants' flocks. 451
