2 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING & CONFERENCE 2011 eterinary Ireland Dear Member It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the Veterinary Ireland Annual General Meeting & Conference 2011, which will take place on Friday 25th November 2011 in the Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny marks a very special year as we celebrate Vet2011, a worldwide celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of veterinary education in Lyons, France in As well as the formal aspects of the AGM, including Motions for debate and formal addresses by the President and Chief Executive, the day s programme includes a scientific session on the History of Veterinary Medicine and a veterinary business session concentrating on Personal Finance and Practice Development. Attendance at the Veterinary Ireland Annual General Meeting & Conference 2011 is open to all Veterinary Ireland members and is offered free of charge. Most importantly, full registered attendance at the Veterinary Ireland Annual General Meeting & Conference 2011 will qualify for 5 CVE Credits. Rounding off the day will be Veterinary Ireland s Presidents Dinner, which will include the awarding of three Veterinary Ireland Distinguished Service Medals to worthy members of the veterinary profession as part of our celebration of Vet2011.
