ATTENTION EXHIBITORS SEE PUYALLUP/TACOMA PL FOR FULL WEEKEND RULES Grounds will be open at Noon and close two (2) hours after the last Specialty ends on Friday. No parking on the Fairgrounds. Violators will be towed at the owners risk and expense. Dogs may not be left in the Exhibit Complex or the Pavilion overnight. Absolutely no grooming, exercise pens, puppy pens or canopies in the show building. There is absolutely no dumping or dripping of gray water from RVs onto the ground. The appropriate sewer hookup or dump station should be used for all gray (and black) water. Security will enforce the no dumping rule. There is a $500 fine for all/any infractions of this policy. The only fresh water available on the grounds will be in the restrooms. Exhibitors are responsible for the water required for the safety and comfort of their dogs. No bathing of dogs on show grounds. Speed limit within the Fairgrounds is 5MPH. Anyone exceeding this speed limit will be subject to an Event Show Hearing, and/or escorted off the grounds immediately. If it is necessary to rescue a dog from a parked vehicle on the show grounds or in the parking areas, the club will not be responsible or liable for any damage to the vehicle involved. These rules will be enforced by the show committee. Failure to comply with these rules will result in charges being brought before the show committee. No Smoking will be allowed or tolerated in any building on the Show Site. Offenders shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $50, and in the event of continued abuse, shall be asked to leave the show premises. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian s recommendations to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, or communicable diseases, and have the appropriate vaccinations. Note: No grooming is allowed upstairs in the Pavilion. Winners of the above classes, if otherwise undefeated, are eligible to compete for Best of Breed BEST OF BREED COMPETITION: The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs that according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a Championship but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a Championship according to the owner s records. Non-Regular Classes (involving multiple dog entries) STUD DOG CLASS: For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. The owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy or the standard for its Breed. Get must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed competition or some other non-regular class. BROOD BITCH CLASS: For Brood Bitches and two of their Produce. Brood Bitches must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and must be shown in the ring with their Produce. The owner of the Brood Bitch need not necessarily be owner of the Produce. While the merits of the Brood Bitch are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Brood Bitch must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy or the standard for its Breed. Produce must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed competition or some other non-regular class. NOTE: As the judge s decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch is based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. 4 ENTRIES CLOSE MAY 21, 2014

Pink & Green Rosette JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION NOVICE CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show, and who have won three first place awards in a Novice Class in a licensed or member show, with competition present in the Novice class. Juniors which according to their records have completed the requirements to compete in the Open class but whose status is unconfirmed by the American Kennel Club are limited to competing in the Open Class for a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the Junior completed the requirements according to their records. MASTER CLASS: This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 first place wins in an Open class with competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition. The calendar for this class will be November 1 - October 31 of the following year. NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry. You may obtain your junior identification number by calling the AKC, Judges Education Department, (919) BE SURE ALL INFORMATION for Junior Showmanship Classes is entered on front and back of entry form. 6 SPECIALTY SHOW CHALLENGE TROPHIES The Washington Brittany Club, Inc., offers the following Challenge Trophy for competition at W.B.C. shows only. A framed print of a Brittany head study, in memory of Eleanor Elfstrom, is offered for Best of Breed. For permanent possession trophy must be won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog or bitch, nor at consecutive shows. Trophy must be returned to the W.B.C. thirty (30) days prior to the date of the next show. Breed & JR. SHOWMANSHIP Prizes All prizes are Brittany Motif Wooden items, except as listed below. All prizes are offered by the Washington Brittany Club, Inc., through the generous donations to the Trophy Fund. It is awarded by members of WSSTC, to the owner(s) of the dog or bitch that wins Best of Breed, at the Annual June Specialty Show only. It recognizes the participating Scottish Terrier that best represents the breed standard and diehard attitude. The carved, hand split cedar serving tray, measuring 12 x 8 x 2, with display rack, with the Best In Specialty Show winner s engraved name on a plaque, remains with WSSTC. For permanent possession the Blackbriar Trophy is to be won three times by the same owner(s) but not necessarily with the same dog or at consecutive shows.
