Brood Bitch must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and must be shown with two or more of her Produce. Owner of Brood Bitch need not necessarily be owner of Produce. Produce only to be judged, based on the merits of the Produce. Entry Fee is $ As the judge s decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch Class will be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class, will be eligible for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. Brace Class (Two, identical ownership) The dogs comprising a Brace MUST be named at the time of entry. If a dog, which is to be part of a Brace, is not entered in any of the Regular Classes or for Best of Breed Competition, it must be entered for Brace Class Only. Entry Fee is $10.00 PARADE OF VETERANS All Dachshunds, 7 years of age an over, are invited to enter this class, which is non-competitive. The purpose of this class is to celebrate the older Veteran Dachshunds. They need not be Champions or Obedience Title Holders. Dogs entered in any competitive class; other than Veteran, Sweepstakes or Junior Showmanship may NOT be entered in the Parade of Veterans. A rosette imprinted in gold with the Dog s name will be awarded to each entrant. Entry Form must state Parade of Veterans. All dogs entered in Sweepstakes must also be entered in a Regular Class. Indicate Sweepstakes and age division under Additional Classes. NO PUPPY BORN AFTER FEB. 13, 2004, is eligible for Sweepstakes. VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES Open to all Dachshunds 7 yrs. and older. Dogs in Veteran Sweepstakes need not be entered in another class at this show. Indicate Veteran Sweepstakes and age division on regular entry form. Sweepstakes/Veteran Sweepstakes are judged prior to the Regular Classes. Dogs entered in the either Sweepstakes may be shown by anyone in good standing with the AKC. Entry Fee is $8.00. 7 IMPORTANT NOTICES FOR ALL EXHIBITORS DIRECTIONS TO SHOW SITE North or South on I-5: Take the Auburn Exit (Exit 18): Go to Auburn and take the Enumclaw Exit to Highway 164. Follow the signs to Enumclaw (Highway 410); just before Enumclaw, turn right on 244th; go to 456th and turn left. It becomes Warner. Stay on Warner to the Fairgrounds. Going South on I-405 or coming from Renton area: Go East on Maple Valley Highway (Highway 169); go through Black Diamond; continue on until 416th S.E.; turn left, then follow signs to the Fairgrounds. Loading and unloading will be at the Livestock Building ONLY. Grooming areas will be available in the Livestock and Rabbit Buildings. Drivethru gates to the show grounds will open at 6AM and will close at 8PM. Walk-thru gates will be open 24 hours. Parking outside the show grounds is available after 8PM. No vehicles will be allowed on the fairgrounds after 7PM. SETUP Setup of tents/equipment may NOT be within 15 feet of any rings. All tents/equipment must be removed within one (1) hour of the conclusion of the Specialty Show. Rings and area MUST be left clean. PARKING There will be NO day parking on the fairgrounds. RV Parking will be handled by J.I.F.Y.S., PO Box 187, Boring, OR Layout and assignment of spaces will be handled by J.I.F.Y.S. exclusively do not contact OKC regarding parking requests. RV parking prices are $25 per night pre-reserved. Tow vehicles are an additional $15 for the whole weekend. Checks should be made payable to OKC and mailed to J.I.F.Y.S. There will be a $20 charge for returned checks. Check-in will begin at 4PM on Thursday. Overnight parking check-in will be in the North Parking Lot. ANIMALS IN VEHICLES Should the on-site veterinarian determine that any dog enclosed in a vehicle is in danger, the show committee reserves the right to break into that vehicle. Anyone parking in the show site parking areas must accept full responsibility for damages should this occur. GROUNDS RULES Each exhibitor is responsible for cleaning up after his own dog(s). Pooper-scoopers will be placed around the show grounds for your convenience. If your dog soils in the show ring, the ring steward will hold your dog while YOU do the clean-up. A pooper-scooper will be placed outside each ring. Responsible dog owners will clean up after their dog(s). PARENTS SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES! 8 NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List. Effective for events held on and after January 1, 2004, the AKC will collect a $1.50 AKC Event Service Fee for the first entry of a dog in all AKC licensed and member dog shows, obedience trials, and tracking tests. The current 50 cent recording fee will continue to be collected. A show-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Recording Fees and Event Service Fees for the AKC. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Event/Recording Fees to be collected on the first entry only. (AKC Rule. Chapter 11, Section 2). CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTER- NATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or its Superintendent assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner s agent. RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMPLETENESS OF ANY ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH ENTRANT. Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fee for bitches in season. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. The Superintendent will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. The Superintendent will add a $20.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor or agent may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS. REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP SUBSTITUTION OF DOG. There will be an Administrative Fee of $5.00 charged for any substitution of dog in Junior Showmanship at each show. Only dogs eligible for this show will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs. The judging will start promptly. Dogs may arrive anytime prior to their time of judging, and may leave immediately thereafter, unless required for further judging. ENTRIES WILL BE ACKNOWLEDGED after entries close with entry acknowledgment and judging program to address on entry. Should Exhibitor NOT receive an acknowledgment within a reasonable time, PLEASE notify the Superintendent at (360) or dogshows@barayevents.com. LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children on the day of the show. FAX ENTRIES Fax entries will be accepted up to closing time. Fee is $4.00 per dog per show. If the credit card charge is denied for any reason, an additional service charge of $20.00 will be added. FAX NUMBER: (360) This is for Fax Machine ONLY. Incomplete or illegible Fax entries are not acceptable as a valid entry in a show. Proof of transmission is not proof of receipt of a legible or complete transmission (under AKC Rule Ch. 11, Sec. 4). ALL RIGHTS TO TELEVISE, VIDEOTAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent.
