5 DIRECTIONS TO THE TRIAL SITE From NJ Turnpike exit 7A: Take I-195 East to Route 526. Make a Right on Route 526 to Main Street. Make a Right on Main St. to Route 539. Make a Left on Route 539 to Arneytown-Hornerstown Road. Make a Right on Arneytown-Hornerstown Road. From NJ Turnpike exit 7: Take Route 206 North to Route 528 (Crosswicks Road). Make a Right on Route 528; travel approximately 6 miles, Pass through 1 roundabout. and stay straight DO NOT TURN RIGHT. Stay straight to go onto Arneytown Chesterfield Rd/County Hwy-664, (Road is now Route 664). Follow Route 664; it will turn right; on the corner you note a house with windmills. After the close of entries, only refund requests for bitches in season can be accepted. Those requests must include a veterinarian s note and be received by the Trial Secretary NO LATER than one half hour prior to the start of the first class in the trial. A full refund, less a $5 fee, will be given for qualified requests. There will be no refund for injury or illness after entries close. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations. Transfer s A transfer request from one Obedience or Rally class to another will be accepted prior to and after the trial closing date. Such requests should be sent through regular mail or , or presented to the Trial Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the trial, and should include the following information: Owner s name, dog s registered name, dog s registration #, jump height (if any), class moving from, class moving to. The full entry fee will be refunded to an entrant whose entry is replaced by a wait-listed entry. ENTRIES NOT ON OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORMS and photocopies of AKC entry forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. NO ENTRY SHALL BE MADE AND NO ENTRY SHALL BE ACCEPTED WHICH SPECIFIES ANY CONDITIONS AS TO ITS ACCEPTANCE. ENTRY FEES will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a veterinarian or the judge, or barred from competition by the action of the Trial Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the trial, no refund of entry fee(s) will be made. EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS, such as, but not limited to snowstorms, hurricanes, lightening, extreme heat must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to stop or cancel the trial before completion, no refund of entry fees will be made. If cancellation is decided before the event,every effort will be made to notify the exhibitors via . ERRORS ON ENTRY BLANKS. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. NO REFUND FOR DUPLICATE ENTRIES. We will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if a dog has been processed, no refund will be made. DECLINATION OF ENTRIES/REMOVAL OF DOG. The show committe may refuse to admit or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness, or other cause, and no one shall have any claim or recourse against the show-giving club or official thereof. JUMP HEIGHTS must be listed in accordance with AKC rules. ENTRIES WITHOUT JUMP HEIGHTS will be judged at the end of the class. Jump heights will run in ASCENDING order both days and for both Obedience and Rally. THE TRIAL WILL BE OPEN from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day. Absolutely NO exhibitor set-up on Friday. AS SPECIFIED IN CHAPTER 12, SECTION 4 of the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, information contained on the entry form is required to be published in the club s show catalog. This information is also subject to publication in other media. DOGS MAY ARRIVE any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANY DOG HOLDING UP A CLASS. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. ALL DOGS PRESENT must be held on a leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercise area. Exercise your dog in the designated potty area only; please clean up after your dog. DO NOT let your dog potty in the landscaped areas around the building. UNENTERED DOGS will not be permitted in the buildings as space is limited. Thank you for respecting this. NO EX-PENS are permitted on the premises. Please bring your own chairs. Crates and chairs will be placed in properly designated areas only. Please be considerate of other exhibitors needing crate space. LUNCH WILL BE FOR SALE at these trials. CONSULT JUDGING PROGRAM for time of judging. REFUND CHECKS are void after 180 days and will NOT be re-issued. THE TRIAL COMMITTEE will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, nor assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortune to either dogs or exhibitors participating in this trial. The exhibitors shall hold the Trial Committee harmless and indemnify it against any legal proceeding arising from any accident. New Rally Classes/Titles The AKC has created a new class and title for dogs that have won the Rally Novice title, but have not yet earned a qualifying score inthe Advanced class. The RALLY INTERMEDIATE class and associated title (RI), provides a stepping-stone class to help prepare teams for the off-leash performance required in the Advanced class. The Intermediate course is the mirror image of the Advanced course without a jump. All dogs are judged on leash. RI must have between 12 to 17signs (Start/ Finishnot included) with a minimum of 3 Advanced level signs. The RI may be added after the name of the dog that has been certified by at least 2 different judges. The RI title is NOT required to enter the Advanced class. The AKC has also created the new MASTERS class and associated (RM) title, as well as the Rally Championship title (RACH), both of which provide additional challenges for dedicated Rally exhibitors. For example, there will be no retries of a station allowed in the Rally Master class level. The criteria to earn the RACH requires the team to earn 20 triple qualifying scores; qualifying in the Advanced B, Excellent B and Master classes at the same trial, at 20 seperate events, plus earn 300 RACH points from the Excellent B and Master classes. Points are determined by a dog s score. At least 200 RACH points must be earned from the Rally Master class.
