2 Presidents Report Welcome to all our members, I cant believe we are over half way through another year, where does the time go? The committee has been extremely busy trying to organize the Trophy Shows next March in the beautiful Barossa Valley, credit should be given to everyone working hard to make this prestigious event happen, I don't think people realize at times the effort that is put into organizing shows and the fact that being a committee member is a voluntary position. I personally thank all those people and in addition all those that have supported us in sponsorship and have booked their cabins, it surely is going to be a great event with in excess of 110 people booked into the park to date. We will try our best to make your stay a positive one. The recent Winter International was supported well by bull terriers and miniatures, and fantastic to see the bullies achieving the highest awards in the Terrier Group and in show awards, also the Terrier Championship show taking out Best Exhibit in Show and Puppy in Show by bull terriers. 3 Secretary Report Dear members, Just recently it has come to the Club s notice, that it has been intimated on social media that our club does not treat our sponsors very well. We as a club value our sponsors without whom we could not conduct such prestigous shows with International Judges, and a superb trophy table. I would like to thank all our Sponsors, past and present, for you support and goodwill. Conducting two sometimes three shows such as our show weekend does not happen overnight a lot of thoughtful preparation goes into play, long before the show date. This is done by a band of very hard working people, who give up hours of their time to go the extra mile to ensure a successful show weekend. We attract exhibitors from all round Australia and we appreciate their support and dedication to travel long distances, as we all know it is a costly procedure for dog exhibitors, to enter shows and to pay their petrol and accommodation costs. Therefore as we rely heavily on our Sponsors, we treat them with the utmost respect as is their due. We would not knowingly treat them in any other manner. My thanks to our Committee members for their dedication, and I must say that, to anyone who attends our next Show weekend, which is our trophy show weekend to be held at the Barossa Valley Tourist Park Nuriootpa you are in for a treat. I wish all our members well, and I hope you are all keeping warm,i have just come back from a trip to my homeland Scotland, and I must say although I love going Home, and seeing my family I was glad to come back to South Australia it is still a good place to live. Members also declare that they will not offer for sale or be in anyway concerned in the sale or offering for sale of deaf Bull Terriers. Members also agree that they will neither breed from nor offer at stud any animal which has suffered or is suffering from any inheritable painful defect. NOTE: The Club considers any Dog or Bitch deaf that cannot hear perfectly! 9 Member Club Show Schedules For anyone wondering what Ironbark is, The Northern Districts Bull Terrier Club of NSW along with their championship and open shows are hosting this biennial event. Inaugural Biennial Ironbark Competition Match day. Ironbark is the first of its kind in Australia and will be judged similar to Americas Silverwood Show. I believe whites and coloured dogs and bitches will be judged separately by three specialist judges from overseas. The winners will be announced at the dinner night and in addition a point score will be held over the three days of showing. Like our Trophy Show people from all over Australia and New Zealand will be attending.

19 DogsSA Shows Shows at David Roche Park (Dogs SA) Shows are held most weekends at DogsSA with the majority of them day shows commencing at 9am, in summer, many shows are evening shows with most starting at 6pm. It makes for a nice evening out if you haven t been down to check out the Bull Terriers and Bull Terrier Miniatures in the show ring. There are many all breeds shows held on most weekends throughout the year. Check Dogs SA website for dates and times or Bull Terriers and Bull Terrier Miniatures are judged in the Terrier Group (Ring 2) and are judged in alphabetical order within that group, so they are usually close to being on first pending on how many breeds there are before them on the day.
