For more information, you may call Max 200 at (800) or e- mail them at info@max200.com RING CONDITIONS MAX TRAX An artificial turf made with 3/16 foam backing and a 5/16 pile. Will be over a concrete floor. NOTE: The ring dimensions are 100 x 100 and due to the building structure, there are one foot support poles running down the middle of each ring every 20 feet. FEES: are $25 for 1st entry of a dog and $13.00 for each additional entry of the same dog. JWW as a single entry is $25. Entry fees include admission to the Pet Expo. MOVE-UPS: for Fri. & Sat. will be taken up until the 27 th of Jan 03. For those entered on Fri. or Sat., moveups will be allowed between days. WORLD OF PETS EXPO Jan. 31 thru Feb. 2, 2003, Maryland State Fairgrounds, Timonium, MD On the 2 nd Annual World of Pets Expo will take place at the MD State Fairgrounds. The Expo features something for everyone from the serious pet enthusiast to the casual pet admirer. Many activities and demonstrations will be directed toward children and the Expo is an exciting event for the entire family. Exhibitors will fill the spacious Cow Palace with thousands of products and services for pets. Some of the country s foremost authorities in the pet industry will present seminars and demonstrations covering practically every aspect of pet care and training. Hours for the Expo are Friday noon to 8pm, Saturday 10 am to 7pm and Sunday 10 am to 5pm. Acres of free parking are available. There will not be a photographer at this trial. DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER This trial is open to all dogs over the age of 12 months that are registered with the AKC or are registerable breeds that have obtained an AKC ILP number, except bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness which may affect the dog s physical or mental performance. Refer to Chapter 3, Section 22 Dog Show Rules for listing of registerable breeds that may participate.

4 CLASS & DIVISIONS Novice, Open & Excellent Standard Regular and Preferred and Jumpers With Weaves Regular and Preferred Classes will be offered. The Novice and Excellent Classes will be divided into Division A & B as further described in Chapter 2, Section 1 of the American Kennel Club Regulations for Agility Trials. Novice Agility classes and the Novice Jumpers with Weaves Classes are divided into Divisions A & Division B. Division A is for dogs that have never acquired any AKC agility title. RUNNING ORDERS On Friday and Sunday running order will be 4 thru 24 and on Saturday running order will be 24 down to 4. Order of running will be B, A, Regular, followed by B and A Preferred, by jump height. COURSE FAMILIARIZATION AND WARM-UPS Handlers in all classes are permitted to walk the course, without a dog, prior to the start of the class. The walk-through allows handlers to plan their strategy for running the course. A walk-through period will be held prior to each class, following the judge s briefing. The walk-though is restricted to handlers entered only in that class. No equipment familiarization will be offered at this event. A warm-up area, consisting of a regulation agility jump, shall be provided for all exhibitors. Exhibitors may not use the warm-up area to relieve their dogs. Obstacles The following obstacles and jumps shall be used for standard classes: A- Frame, Dog Walk, Seesaw, Pause Table, Open Tunnel, Closed Tunnel, Tire Jump, Double Bar Jump, Panel Jump, Broad Jump (required in Novice classes), One Bar Jump, Weave Poles (6 in Novice, 6-12 in Open and 9-12 in Excellent), Triple Jump (excluding Novice) and other Jumps and Hurdles as described in the regulations. The following obstacles and jumps shall be used for JWW classes: Weave Poles (6 in Novice, 6-12 in Open and 9-12 in Excellent), Triple Jump (optional in Open, required in Excellent), One Bar Jump (optional in Open, required in Excellent) and other Jumps and Hurdles as described in the regulations. Single copies of the latest editions of the Rules Applying to Registration and Dog Shows and Agility Trial Regulations may be obtained WITHOUT CHARGE from any Superintendent at show where they are superintending or from THE AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB, 51 MADISON AVENUE, NEW YORK, NY AGREEMENT I (we) acknowledge that the Rules Applying to Registration and Dog Shows and the Agility Trial Regulations, have been made available to me (us), and that I am (we are) familiar with their contents. I (we) agree that the club holding this show or obedience trial has the right to refuse this entry for cause, which the club shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of the agility trial and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prize money, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold this club, its members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or show secretary and the owner or lessor of the premises and any employees of the aforementioned parties, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the show or obedience trial premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, death or otherwise, and from any claim for damage or injury to the dog, whether such loss, disappearance, theft, damage or injury, be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause or causes. I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves) or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this agility trial, however such injuries, death or damage to property may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees or agents, or any other parties. INSTRUCTIONS 1. (Variety) If you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering i.e. Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color). Beagles (not exceeding 13 in. over 13. in but not exceeding 15 in.) Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 2. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rule refer to Chapter 14, Section 3.) All Entries List only AKC titles with the dog s name, titles frm other organizations will not be published. Telephoned or telegraphed entries, conditional entries, and photocopies entries without the AKC agreement are not acceptable. Incomplete or illegible entries are not acceptable and cannot be entered in the show. (AKC Rule, CH. 14, Sec 4.)

5 NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused, or barred from competition by action of the Trial Committee. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. Since bitches in season are not permitted to compete in Agility Trials, the Club will refund all but $10 dollars of the entry fee for bitches unable to compete for that reason. The Trial Secretary must be notified of such claim for refund at the show prior to the start of classes or by letter postmarked January 31, 2003 or earlier. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committee, be asked to leave the trial site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. Puppies under 6 mos. are strictly prohibited from the grounds. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Trial Sect. will add a $30 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH only basis. All dogs must be on a leash at all times except when in the ring or when in the designated agility warm-up area. At the handler s option, the dog may wear a flat buckle or quick release collar without tags or other attachments. Choke, pinch, electric and dummy electric collars are prohibited. Please clean up after your dog there will be a designated exercise area available. The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of the sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. Food will be available at the Pet Expo which is located in the same building. Catalogs may be prepaid for $6.00 with your entry. A very limited number of catalogs will be available for sale on the show date at a cost of $8.00. DIRECTIONS Maryland State Fairgrounds The Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium is ideally located just north of Baltimore and is easily accessible from I-83 (Exit 17). From Baltimore area I-695 to I-83 North (Exit 24). North on I-83 approximately 2 miles to Exit 17 (Padonia Rd). Follow signs to Fairgrounds approximately 1-1/2 miles. From the North (PA). I-83 to Exit 17 (Padonia Rd.) Follow signs to Fairgrounds. First place Blue, Second Place Red, Third Place Yellow Fourth Place White. Dark Green Qualifying ribbons will be awarded to all dogs receiving a qualifying score. Dogs must qualify to receive placement ribbons.

If you do not have one for your dog, he/she will need to be measured the day of the trial. Height Divisions Owners/Agents are responsible for entering the proper height division. Judges reserve the right to measure any dog entered in the trial. All height divisions will be offered in both the standard and jumpers with weaves classes. 8 inches For dogs 10 inches and under at the withers. 12 inches For dogs 14 inches and under at the withers. 16 inches For dogs 18 inches and under at the withers. 20 inches For dogs 22 inches and under at the withers. 24 inches For dogs over 22 inches at the withers.
